The best restaurants

25/01/2026: We spent €50 on two battered cod and chips and two battered scampi and chips. We received enough battered cod to feed eight people and wondered why they had given us so much, but, we soon realised it was because the battered cod was inedible. The battered scampi was also over cooked and again unfortunately inedible. The chips were ok. It is unacceptable to give over cooked food to customers who have paid for properly cooked food. This is an honest review that I not only hope will inform people to be aware of the food quality of this takeaway restaurant, but, also inform the restaurant that it is not acceptable to I believe knowingly give customers over cooked food. Shame on you. I would not recommend this takeaway restaurant at all.

19/01/2026: Some of the best Cod and chips you can get in Ireland. The chicken is excellent. The rest of the menu looks great and I look forward to checking it out.

24/11/2025: First time eating here. Ordered the mixed kebab and it was amazing 10/10 Shout out to the lads, this will definitely be my go to from now on!

20/12/2025: A very cozy local spot with yummy food! Great for families. Soup of the day was a tad too salty but the spinach and ricotta ravioli was near 10/10 with a fresh + tangy cherry tomato sauce. A family member I was dining with said that their steak is on par with one from Marco Pierre White’s restaurant!

13/12/2025: Had a lovely afternoon at Di Bella in Lucan with my husband today. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I loved how the restaurant had a lovely mix of couples enjoying a romantic meal alongside young families and children, it created such a homely, lively vibe. We really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend Di Bella. Looking forward to popping back in again soon!

04/01/2026: We got dinner here because they were the only place in town serving food. The seafood platter was unfortunately a miss. Our waiter was nice but the bartender seemed to actively avoid us. Next time we'd drive to a different town for dinner.

14/01/2026: Did it as a takeaway through Just Eat. My previous experiences with Big bites have been some what okayish. This time it was very quick and maintained a good temperature in its delivery. Garlic mushrooms, Veg Samosa and Chicken Dum Biryani were this reviewer’s choice and all were very tasty. (The latter- the chicken just felt off the bone, yummy). Well recommended!!!

24/08/2025: Excellent coffee and great service

11/08/2025: Yesterday around midday, I went in for a breakfast option. I specifically ordered and paid for a roll, but I was given a burrito instead. When I saw the staff member preparing it, I mentioned that I had ordered a roll, but she replied that it was already made and handed it to me anyway. Even though the food itself was nice, it’s very frustrating to pay for one thing and be given something completely different. It’s not acceptable to tell the customer to take what the staff decides, especially when it’s not the customer’s order. The worst part is that the order wasn’t even for me, so it was wasted. This kind of service leaves a bad impression, no matter how good the food is.

13/12/2025: Had a pie and a coffee when I was there. Accompanied by friendly chat and great atmosphere. A lovely place.

02/10/2025: My husband and I go there for our coffee which is great. I love my cuppachino. He also rates there Breakfast. We went on Sunday to have lunch. Got to meet the lovely owners Charmain and Emmet. Lovely people. Our lunch was great...Lamb cutlets with vegetables fresh...chips or mash. All the staff that work there are friendly and very nice.

25/11/2025: €8 for 1 v small roll with 1 slice of ham and cheese. I asked could I have a little bit more in the sandwich and the cashier turned her back on me

22/09/2025: This is a little gem. The coffee here is really excellent. The pastries are fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient. They also sell high quality honey, olive oil, Italian biscuits etc to go. Second review; Still a great coffee shop. Coffee is very high quality. Great sandwiches and wraps too. You can even buy artwork and costume jewellery here too. Oh yeah.... They sell some really nice wines. Got a fantastic hot wrap there.

29/07/2025: Food is absolutely awful. On a few occasions I've gotten food there and it's not nice at all.battered sausages are horrible and greasy pizza ain't bad but Luke warm at best chicken fillet burgers are over cooked.

27/10/2025: Excellent Chinese. I'm not from Cork, stumbled across Noodlee Mahon. Friendly staff, more importantly the food was very good. Most bad reviews seem to surround the delivery time, didn't impact me I was in the shop. I'd 100% recommend and will return if I'm back down that way.

15/09/2025: We ordered take away few days ago and it was delicious, my wife got vegetarian chicken cow main and I got black bean chicken. Food was great, delivery less than 30min. Will order again for sure

28/09/2025: Staff are always friendly and Guinness is great. Great price for a Guinness. Great pub for the local neighborhood.
