28/01/2025: I thought my food portion would be bigger. I ordered the House Favorite Eggs & Potato and was ok portion. The food was delicious but I was expecting more bacon as well. Would come back and I would recommend this place. I could eat something else once the regular portion (at least my dish) was a small-medium size. The food was served fast and the waiter just didn’t check if we need something else like an extra plate or salt and pepper. I had to run behind those, salt and pepper. P.s: came with a friend and two toddlers and the place don’t have space for stroller so we needed to leave outside and grateful wasn’t raining

10/02/2025: On arrival we paid for our weekend break, the owners explained that the rooms were heated by portable heaters and told us that if we needed anything we should call them. The next morning we went for breakfast and were surprised that the people staying there had a much smaller choice than walk ins, I complained that the breakfast room was freezing, no napkins and the cutlery was a mix of all sorts in a bucket on the tables. The morning we checked out the owners were nowhere to be seen and the breakfast was cold for the second morning and did not include the same items as the morning before. Rooms are basic and need decorating, really poor service to be honest and we will not return.
14/01/2025: Lamplight manually charged money to my credit card last October for a no prepayment reservation I’d placed through booking.com. The date of the reservation wasn’t supposed to be until January 1st for two nights, no prepayment, pay when you stay, free cancellation. Not only did they proceed to message me explaining their systems error, but they have ignored all attempts to have my money returned! I cancelled the booking on December 11th and have since had Booking.com claim there was no charge despite it showing on my statement. Seems I’m not the only one looking at previous reviews.

30/12/2024: For those who are trying toogoodtogo in nara thai: They have a surprise dessert for 4.99 euros and what they give is two pieces of cake. I wonder how the price of 2 pieces of cake would be 15 euros which they give it on a discount for 5 euros on toogoodtogo. Also their cake tasted exactly like tesco cakes. They have now found a way to make money with toogootogo.

The team here were very obliging and attentive to my needs.
I felt welcomed and enjoyed the experience.

27/01/2025: This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions. Hospitable host, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and amazing brunch menu. I would definitely recommend to everyone. I would like to come back here again and again. Staff is super amazing, especially barman Joe who always has a smile on his face and flips a few jokes around, in one word-happy man. They know what are they doing and what are they talking about, and you can tell making the customer happy is their main priority.

03/12/2024: I as really surprised by how good the food was and how friendly the staff were. We had a birthday party of 17 People and we had a nice sectioned off area to ourselves. The menu looked great all over and everyone complimented it. I had the chicken wings and then chicken curry. Both were tasty!
