02/11/2024: Cafe Vega Cobh Excellent breakfast 972041583 Definitely not permanently closed!! Had super breakfast here today Sept 30th 2024 - well cooked wholesome food and friendly staff.

31/08/2024: Perfect ! This is the word to define breakfast at Vega. Quality Price at the rendezvous. Top notch service!

07/01/2025: I had a €10 Ubereats voucher that expired at 3am on a Friday. Preordered food on the Thursday night beforehand in order to avail of this voucher as prices were high, but with a €10 voucher became affordable. This order was accepted on the Thursday evening. Yay! I get to try a new place that I would normally never go to for being overpriced because of a voucher I was given on a whim. I can't wait until 7pm the next day when I get to try this new food. The order was cancelled on the day of my order at 6:30pm. Even if I get a refund I have now lost out on €10 for the voucher. Annoying but I have worked in fast food before and understand how chaotic it can be. I tried to call the restaurant to clarify the reason why it was cancelled and see if there was some way I could still get my order. Was told they were not accepting orders and was hung up on before I could get a word in. Definitely never ordering from here again.

10/11/2024: One of the best pizzas in Dublin in my opinion. It's a small food truck with a fire oven pizza. You have an area where you can eat, but if it's raning probably you'll have to eat in your car. Despite that, it's worth it.

10/02/2025: On arrival we paid for our weekend break, the owners explained that the rooms were heated by portable heaters and told us that if we needed anything we should call them. The next morning we went for breakfast and were surprised that the people staying there had a much smaller choice than walk ins, I complained that the breakfast room was freezing, no napkins and the cutlery was a mix of all sorts in a bucket on the tables. The morning we checked out the owners were nowhere to be seen and the breakfast was cold for the second morning and did not include the same items as the morning before. Rooms are basic and need decorating, really poor service to be honest and we will not return.

14/01/2025: Lamplight manually charged money to my credit card last October for a no prepayment reservation I’d placed through booking.com. The date of the reservation wasn’t supposed to be until January 1st for two nights, no prepayment, pay when you stay, free cancellation. Not only did they proceed to message me explaining their systems error, but they have ignored all attempts to have my money returned! I cancelled the booking on December 11th and have since had Booking.com claim there was no charge despite it showing on my statement. Seems I’m not the only one looking at previous reviews.

25/11/2024: We popped in on the off chance that they were serving food on a Monday afternoon, we found a lot of places were closed or not open yet. The Lady of the house was extremely accommodating and the service, the food and the drinks were excellent. ( cabbage was to die for ) Would certainly visit again.😁

03/11/2024: We went to Saltee Coast Hotel retsurant for food only so can't comment on accommodation. But the hotel seems very well maintained. It is slightly away from overcrowded Kilmore Quay, which was exactly what we were looking for. We went there bit late for lunch after exploring saltee island. We were welcomed warmly and served with really tasty fish n chips. I have to say this was a really tasty fish n chips I had in long time. Highly recommend this place.

28/09/2024: Difficult! The Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is tasty and of good quality, service is good and the staff is friendly. But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a hotel with high standards, i.e. the seating seems cheap, the ambience is unmotivating and the bar is an integral part - including drunk and rowdy guests. There is also a billiard table right next to the restaurant tables within reach of the cues. Very unfortunate.

18/08/2024: We went for our 1 year marriage anniversary and welcomed with a delicious sparkling wine and wishes by the manager. The place is very cozy and well organized, and a wonderful service was provided by the team. The food was very good and for a good price. Excellent place to go, we will return in the future. We had an excellent experience!

17/01/2025: When I moved to Castlerea, I thought that KOSY BAR is the best place to relax in this city, there is a pool table, the service from the staff was excellent, but yesterday, 01/17/2025 I came to the cafe with friends, there were a lot of free tables, we chose a table near to the pool table, we ordered drinks, we were relaxing, and the bartender came and put a sign on our table that our table is reserved!!!! I mean, we are sitting and relaxing and the bartender comes and just puts a sign on our table that our table is reserved, and she replies that we should move to another table, is this normal???? If this table was on reserve, she could have warned us right away, but she simply asked us to go to another place, is this not normal???? Unfortunately, I do not know her name, but I want to say that she treats customers badly and we will not return to this establishment again, I also work in a similar establishment, but I never allow myself such an attitude towards customers. My rating is 1 point, I will never come to this establishment again.

05/12/2024: Useless altogether just drive in there arrived a half hour before there closing time advertised online to be told there closed because there’s only 4 people while one of the cooks chicken in the mean time how many people does it take to make a burger meal please tell me that

09/02/2025: We were very disappointed with our Saturday night take out. The sweet and sour chicken lacked flavour. The chicken coating was gluey and all stuck together in a slimy, chewy mess. There were hardly any pineapple or peppers in the sauce, only big pieces of carrot and a single cherry tomato. The brown rice was cooked without any salt and very bland. We have been ordering from Lana for 18 months now and the quality and portion size have gradually gone down over time. I feel the food was cooked without any love or care. At €15 a meal, plus delivery, this was our last meal from Lana.
