27/12/2024: So nice! They have a bigger room with tables and a stage for performers, where they host a weekly open mic, trad sessions and they support gigs with original music as well. Nice bartenders/owner. Good beer. If I’m back to Galway I’ll definitely look for it.

The service was top class the staff very good and a very big thank you to the guy that gave me the beautiful brown cake well done indeed fair play to yea. 01/01/2025: Good selection of cocktails however the ones we wanted were out of the homemade syrup so we had to try other cocktails on the menu. They were ok, nothing special. Atmosphere is really cool, great vibe and great service.

31/12/2024: Really nice spot, great terrace area but the cocktails for 14 euros should be much better quality. The espresso martini I ordered wasn't good. Too sugary, too thin, off balance. You get a proper one for the same price across the road.

11/02/2025: We recently celebrated two 90th birthdays at The Woodland Restaurant. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and taken care of. The exceptional service truly set the tone for the event. There was a slight hiccup with some guests delayed due to traffic on the M50, but the staff at The Woodland were more than accommodating, allowing us to start later without any hassle. We never once felt rushed. It made all the difference and allowed everyone to arrive and enjoy the celebration together. The food was excellent and the presentation fabulous. Andrew’s rendition of "Happy Birthday" was spectacular and will be remembered for years to come. The venue is stunning with huge picture windows and fabulous views. The staff made the birthday couple feel like royalty even gifting them birthday cake, tea, and coffee. It was clear that every detail was taken care of. Our guests were raving about how wonderful the whole day was. Thank you to Frano, Andrew, and all the staff for making this milestone celebration so memorable. Your kindness and attention to detail truly made the day a success. Highly recommended!

10/02/2025: We celebrated our parents 90th Birthdays last weekend in the woodlands restaurant. From my first phone call to Frano to organise the event for 30 close friends and family, to saying goodbye after the very enjoyable luncheon party was over, was flawless. They thought of, and planned every detail like we were the most important people to them. When we arrived, Frano introduced us to Andrew, the restaurant manager, who looked after us impeccably for the afternoon. The service was flawless, the food was delicious, the atmosphere and views were incredible. Andrew even serenaded our parents with the most amazing rendition of Happy Birthday we have ever heard, he is obviously a professional singer. I couldn’t praise this restaurant and our experience enough. We will certainly be back. Thank you Frano, Andrew and all the staff for making our visit so memorable.

16/02/2025: Big thank you to the host and Ream our server who took great care of us in this cozy, warm, and absolutely lovely restaurant. We had such a great experience! Walk in table was available the day after valentines which we were so thankful for because everywhere was booked till 10pm or were serving food we had no interest in. We ordered a shared starter, two pasta dishes and dessert with the house white. Food was unbelievably good. The bruschetta was the perfect amount for a starter for me and my boyfriend to share and was delicious. We find it hard to find an authentic carbonara, but this was perfect. The tiramisu was light and flavourful and the perfect dessert for such a lovely meal. the house white (2023 Pinot Grigio) was the most complimentary drink to have throughout the meal. 100% recommend for the perfect date night.

18/02/2025: Ordered takeaway away from this restaurant it came highly recommended but my god the food was disgusting the sauce had water oozing from it and was bland the fries dark like reheats rice was bland and tasteless and the naan bread the same.as a chef myself and a lover of Indian food I was so disappointed wouldn't recommend it to anyone.... shocking guys shocking

31/01/2025: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Talbot Hotel in Cork with my family, and I must say, we had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the family-friendly amenities. The kids loved the pool area, which was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. It was a great way for us to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Additionally, the on-site restaurant offered a delicious menu with plenty of options for all tastes, making family meals a delightful experience. Overall, I would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Cork for families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. With its excellent service, great facilities, and prime location, we left with wonderful memories and a desire to return. Thank you, Talbot Hotel, for a lovely family getaway!

02/02/2025: Great cocktails at remarkably good value

31/01/2025: Went here for a Saturday evening dinner - choose a la carte menu - rather than the tasting menu. Overall, a good experience, very nice room, warm welcome, bar at reception was a nice addition while we waited for our table to be ready. Service was very friendly and engaging - perhaps on occasion a little slow - but the room was busy and they seemed well staffed.Drinks at the bar and the wine list was good. Snacks to begin were delicious - however, it did seem odd that no bread course was offered - presumably that's deliberate - but I think it's an oversight. The starter we shared - again really great. The meal was however let down by the main courses - they were delicious and packed with flavour - but they were cold when served - when mentioned, explanation offered was it was due to the length of time it took them to debone the fish - my pork dish must have been left to sit on the pass waiting for the fish to be plated. The desserts were excellent - and would be comparable if not better to similarly priced restaurants in Dublin. Overall, I think I'd go back in the hope that the timings of the mains would be improved - however, id be doubtful i could forgive a cold main on two occasions.

03/02/2025: Came here on a busy Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime.We had the pancakes , french toast.and.a chicken caeser wrap with truffle.fries.Everything was divine ! Very quick service food came.out in.no time beautifully.presented.and.very.tasty! Service was.excellent too.Well done Hudson Roons Lucan we will be backs soon.

28/01/2025: First time visiting The Hudson Rooms, very nice experience. The cafe itself is nicely laid out and nicely lit, and is comfortable to sit in. Staff were all very friendly and attentive, nice to see a locally owned and run business producing such good food. The Eggs Benedict was really nicely prepared, one of the better ones I’ve had. Overall, really good experience and would highly recommend for breakfast. The lunch menu looks very tasty too!
