05/05/2026: Called here, for the Trad session and was very impressed, so nice to see all the young .musicians practicing for the up and coming Flagh, good luck Castlebar, the main musicians were great, and the dancers, what a memorable evening, we will go back.👍

12/01/2026: Paddy Moran’s Pub is everything you want in a traditional Irish pub and more. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, and full of genuine Mayo character, the kind of place where locals chat easily with visitors and the craic flows naturally. The Guinness is exceptional, easily among the best you’ll find anywhere, poured with real care and consistency. Add in the friendly service, the family-run feel, and the traditional music nights, and you’ve got a pub that captures the true spirit of the west of Ireland. If you’re visiting Castlebar and want a proper pint in a proper pub, this is an absolute must stop!

13/05/2026: Lunch was not great. Chicken burger poor and fish and chips not great either. Did say to serving staff that meal was not great who apologised and said would pass details to kitchen.

25/08/2025: A charming spot for chocolate lovers, but renovations are underway Butlers Chocolate Café on Grafton Street has long been a beloved haven for anyone with a sweet tooth. Tucked in the city centre, it's beautifully inviting—perfect for indulging in rich, creamy coffee and luxury chocolates in an elegant setting. Lately, though, I’ve noticed a shift. The portions have gotten noticeably smaller, and what used to feel like generous fare now seems just enough—not quite as thrilling as before. Add to that a slight dip in overall quality, and it feels like the magic has dimmed a bit.

24/08/2025: Well it's butlers.... but that aside the cafe is stunning, staff are super polite and helpful and you get to choose a free chocolate with every drink you order

I was in there Patrick's day and went out for air for the security to say I had to wait in line even though I was already inside, I had my drink and all. My friends and i decided to leave and won't be going back any time soon. Get your act together security.

18/04/2026: I have dined in as well as gotten many takeaways from here and I have not gotten one bad meal ever. The food is so tasty. I ordered many different mains and starters from their vast menu and each dish as good as the last. There is so much flavour and portion sizes are really generous. It's my go to favourite takeaway in the town.

31/01/2026: Highly recommend. Excellent, friendly service, stylish surroundings and delicious food. Also vg value €42 for 2 main courses & 2 side dishes. More than enough food and very well cooked. We will definitely return when back in the Kildare area.

26/09/2025: I had the coffee here and it was bitter I think they added too much coffee. I can drink strong coffee but this was bitter and adding sugar didn't help it. It is overpriced and not really high standard and a few of the staff look depressed there but the staff were nice I just felt bad for them. If it's all of them looking a bit sad it's usually the way they are treated by management, i know from personal experience. Edit: Excuse me but I don't care. 1 I don't go to Ucc, 2 This is my review of your café I have given other places 1 star your not special. 3 if you are going to threaten defamation you have to prove that what people say are false. 4 I never knew about you threatening a staff with a weapon allegedly now I regret ever going to your cafe as that is disgusting to have that as a rumour. This comment you made makes you seem deranged. I never knew about the rumours I stopped in and had bad coffee which is what I put down and your staff seemed sad how would you know if you ain't there. You have to things in your personal life. Get a grip not everyone is going to like your cafe

20/03/2026: We were very satisfied. Our room was very quiet and the service team was very friendly. The pool, sauna, and gym were very well maintained. The location is fantastic, and you can reach many places on foot. The airport shuttle stop is only a 4-minute walk away. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again.

06/12/2025: We absolutely love Jolly Boys- whether it’s sitting inside in winter or in the outback (outside dining) in the summer the food, drinks and service is 10/10. The atmosphere is laid back (great music and interiors) and the staff are so good with the kids; the place is so family friendly with a great menu for everyone, including delicious gluten free options (including GF pizza and chips) 👌🏻👌🏻 They do great beers including local IPAs and an excellent cocktail menu too! Look forward to the next visit already ❤️

03/04/2026: A great Blackrock institution that has started to con customers and cut corners. It has always been standard practice to give a handful of chips with a fish fillet if you order a cod meal. They are now saying "we don't do that, customers don't usually want it". In an Italian Irish or Irish Chipper a few chips with your fish isn't just a tradition it's a courtesy. This measly theft and lien does more reputational damage than you can imagine. Go elsewhere until the Central Cafe sacks its night staff or stops being stingy

27/04/2026: Well, Insomnia coffee is one of my favourite Taste and service wise, most of their outlets are brilliant to stay and relax with your favourite coffee. But this one Stephens greens was great before, I'm using almost more then a year and almost every day. Don't want any bad comments but last few time I notice staff are not professional, they ignore basic hygiene and customer service peoples are in queue, they are talking chilling cleaning tables walking around but not helping the person who is behind counter to serve. One person taking order and making coffee even never Santa se their hands after handle cash. So I think management is very poor to understand this matter. I compliant few times on the counter no one cares about this .
