The best restaurants

18/12/2025: Bad service, a guy rudely came into the basement and asked people to leave the table because he had reserved it and needed it. It doesn't matter that at least 20 of us go there once a month. If u go keep in the first floor better

30/11/2025: the service here is horrendous, they won't bring a glass of water, very very bad

21/02/2026: Great live music. Drinks were good. Room was full. Server removed reservation sign from the table next to us and proceeded to put it on our table saying we had to vacate in the next 10 minutes. Our table did not have the reservation sign before we arrived and we felt like we were abruptly asked to vacate with no other seats to go too. If there was a mistake made and they needed the table we would have totally understood as both parties have worked the service industry for a long time, but the way we were asked to leave left a bad taste in our mouth.

04/02/2026: Came to The Jar for a birthday party, disastrous experience. The party started at 6pm and I arrived at 7pm. The bartender girl on the 1st floor didn't have a clue about reservations on her floor, so why even bother me and ask when I came in? I had to say my friend's name 5 times while she looked at her sheet trying to figure out where the party was (literally beside the bar where she was). My friend noticed me and came to bring me to the table before she could figure out. Then my friend tells me she had booked tables more than a week in advance for 25 people but got a small corner with only 2 tables and around 8 toddler stools scattered around. The hostess replied that "the house was full" and there is nothing she could do. Why accept a reservation you clearly can't accomodate properly then? After all that, we went to the bar to get drinks and I was served a massively chipped glass (as if someone had literally taken a bite out of it). I showed it to the same bartender, she says "sorry" and throws the glass in the bottle bin so aggressively it hurt everyone's ears from the loud clink noise. I have worked many years in hospitality and everytime I go out I get more and more impressed with the customer service experience I get from places. Would not recommend anyone making a booking here.

30/07/2025: More than 1 hour to wait for my order. The chicken came cold and tasteless, same for the burger. For this price it was really bad

20/11/2025: Don't advertise staying open till late and let no one in! Let me sit outside for over an hour. Just wanted to catch up with my friends inside. Said it was full and wouldnt let me in even when plenty people left while i waited. Not a nice place

16/03/2026: If you’re looking for Mexican food - skip this place. Quality of the food is not good. The meat almost made me vomit. The service is very mid and minimal to the point where they can’t even cut a burrito in half.

10/03/2026: Very disappointed with our recent experience. During the last Bank Holiday we both got food poisoning after eating chicken from this place, not only me, but my fiancé as well. Since moving to Bandon we had been ordering from here regularly and always hoped for the best, but this incident was extremely worrying and unacceptable. Food safety should be a priority. Unfortunately after this experience we will definitely not be ordering from here again.

22/02/2026: "I’m a huge fan of Teppanyaki, and Kyoto does it right. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and the portion sizes were very generous. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly how I asked. It’s hands-down my favorite thing on the menu. A solid 5-star experience!" Also, I have to mention the staff—honestly, they are 💯. Such a great vibe and excellent service all around Best in waterford. 🍜 Recommended for everyone. 🍱 My favourites are spicy Ramen Noodles and Tempura Prawns 🍤. For me Japanese tempura🍤 prawns delicious than Sushi 🍣 Kyoto, from today u are my favourite place

14/02/2026: “Do you have a booking?”-my liver was hurting, i was freezing and ask them politely if we can eat here…last time they did…very unpolite and professional…your website doesn’t have bookings. Bad customer service. They deserve zero stars

08/01/2026: I been 5 of December all staff be kindly and helpful, especially some staff. Yong lady Annya was be very helpfull I been very weak after hospital, she bring for me soup on the table and the cooking chef isgood quality. Very good place, recommended.

03/12/2025: Fake indian restaurant. Don't even know how to make aloo jeera. I said my mom had a fast please give me boiled potato with salt and cumin and no other spices. they said they can only make whats in the menu. Aaloo jeera was in the menu. 🤦

03/03/2026: This is a great local pub, with good drinks and interesting food. They have recently changed menu and I was very pleased to see the addition of "pasta of the day" alongside a lot of traditional food. So very curious to try their Beer-a-misu The cocktails menu is also very interesting and it's something that we'll happily test soon. Interior wise, while the decor is always nice, it just becomes magical at Christmas.

21/02/2026: My sirloin steak was a little smaller in size than expected but it was cooked perfectly to my request. My wife ordered the prawn risotto and again the portion was small, but very tasty. We shared a bread and butter pudding desert and it was delicious.

22/03/2026: Friendly staffs especially the staff named mr.araf . Really enjoyed his company, also the pizzas are too good.

19/03/2026: Pizza fell apart the second I picked it up and the lads in there are the rudest take away workers I’ve met in Cork

22/10/2025: Decent food decent service. Don't know what they are washing the floors with but feel like I'm going ice skating while in the seating area.
