11/06/2026: Great location, right on the wide sandy beach. Parking is available and large enough. The hotel itself is very dated and shabby. That in itself wouldn't be so bad. However, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The toilet flush only works sporadically. It would be a gem if it weren't so neglected. The reception staff were unenthusiastic. One night is okay due to its proximity to the airport, but definitely not more than that. We didn't use the bar or restaurant. Inadequate value for money.

10/06/2026: The hotel is a little rugged on the outside but located perfectly beside the sea/beach. The room was clean and the view was gorgeous. The area itself is lovely. We got dinner in the restaurant. The food was mid. It took a while for our drinks to come. It’s acceptable but not outstanding. The biggest downside to the hotel was the bar service. Felt as if the bar men had no time, they weren’t very chatting but also in no great panic or rush to serve anyone leaving big lines waiting at the bar for drinks. No chat out of them. The hospitality wasn’t overly amazing. I’d go back for the view but the service could be better given the price.

19/05/2026: I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was prepared with great care and flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout the evening. I also really liked the interior design and overall atmosphere — the restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a very pleasant dining experience. I would definitely come back again and recommend it.

24/04/2026: This was our first visit to the Moghul. Having lived in the UK for thirty years I am aware that Indian restaurants in Ireland have their own iteration of the cuisine. By way of a preamble I make curries from many of the Indian regions at least once a fortnight. They are made from scratch with due care and attention. Many of the YouTube videos done by Indian-based cooks/chefs are an excellent source. The Moghul experience was a mixture of highs and lows. We ordered takeaway - a chicken tandoori starter two different chicken curries, pilau rice, and naan. The service was friendly which is always a good start. The free popadoms were inedible, without a hint of crispness. The word 'floppy' springs to mind. Thrown in the trash. The tandoori chicken starter was very pleasant, the flavourings were subtle and the meat was tender. A decent sized portion too. Each gravy in the curries had its own distinct flavour. Once again the spices were subtle, but they were presented as integrated layers which suggested thoughtful preparation. I had requested an added level or spiciness for my curry which was delivered perfectly. The naan, whilst small, did the job. The pilau rice was 10 out of 10. The colour in particular was perfect. In terms of lows the biggest was the meat in the curries - it was a car crash! We had both ordered tikka meat, and when I ordered over the phone I specifically asked whether the tikka was cooked in a tandoor oven (I own a small one myself) or under a grill. The answer was tandoor. Whilst the pieces of meat had skewer holes in them the flesh was as white as milk, with almost none of the colouring/flavour one would expect from a tikka marinade. If this meat spent more than 30 seconds in a tandoor oven I will eat my hat! There was zero evidence (taste and colouring) to suggest otherwise. The 'tikka chicken' in both curries was tasteless and bland. How was this possible? In truth it ruined what could have been two excellent curries Although a moot point, it was breast meat and not thigh which tends to have more flavour. Believe me when I say I wanted this curry house to work, because it is my local. I called them within minutes of eating to ask what was going on. The staff member who answered the phone responded that I was the first person EVER to make such a comment and could not adequately explain how 'tikka' meat can have zero tikka. I will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but the next time the tikka police will be in town! PS the online booking system would not let me order until the restaurant opened at 17:00 which was very strange. I mentioned this to the staff member at the reception/till. Apparently this too was the first time this issue had EVER been mentioned. It was an experience filled with Firsts... UPDATE I returned to the Moghul this evening for a takeaway. After previously being assured by the manager I'd be 'looked after' (because of issues with the previous order) this promise was a totally meaningless gesture. I was told that the chef's disputed my 'tikka free' feedback. Not sure why the management did not use the Google review response option to respond with this opinion. During this wonderful verbal bunfight as I asked repeatedly to pay for my takeaway the 'bloke' said he had read all my Google reviews and in a threatening manner said if I had written similar things about the Moghul 'things would be very different'. Oh dear. The manager then kicked off saying that she was very upset about my initial review, and 'I should think about people's jobs'. All very defensive. The angsty vibe certainly helped build up my appetite. After all that friendly interaction I see no pont in reviewing the second takeaway, other than to say the tikka meat was the same colour as porridge - see photo. The tandoor chicken tasted deep fried. PS as previously mentioned don't even think of online pre-ordering. The mixed messages from the 'management' on this topic are more all over the place than their customer service. The Tikka Police have left town and they will not be back.

13/11/2025: Decided to try this place, when it first opened didn't look to promising as there was a bluebottle stuck on one of their cakes so I passed that day. But I santed to try the dubai brownie which was 6.50 as a treat 😳. Looked great which is why I bought but tasted just okay, topping was how u would imagine but the brownie itself was dry and bland if it had been a bit more fudgier n rich in chocolate flavour could have been a 10/10. Service was to be desired, standing a long time when it really wasn't busy and just got dumped my change without too much friendliness. Came in a good to go box tho. Regardless there selection of cakes and sweet things n sandwiches is impressive of a tad expensive and would like to sit in at some point as the place looks good for a stop off. Coffee is really good, matcha not so much. Would recommend the éclairs on a second visit since.

12/11/2025: A wonderful selection of delicious treats and drinks! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (I had a hard time making up my mind - so many great choices)!

23/11/2025: This is a gorgeous restaurant in Blackrock. Food is fabulous, service is amazing and nothing is too much for them. My son arrived very late but they insisted on making a fresh meal for him.

26/04/2026: Ran of three sides and one of the sides we received was freezing cold underneath and hot on the top clearly straight out of the fridge and reheated, the waitress asked us if there was anything he could help us with, told him underneath the mash was freezing and he said because we ate some of it at the top he couldn’t help us, bad service wouldn’t go back

06/04/2026: horrible service i put my name down and was sitting down as i cant stand due to back injury she saw me sitting down and gave my table away and then proceeded too make me wait another 25 minutes for a table for two

10/03/2026: Looking for somewhere to have a light lunch and popped in here. I had the Avocado toast and poached eggs and got to say it was just delicious, eggs were big and perfectly poached,, runny but slightly set, sitting on lovely toasted sourdough and creamy avocado. Little pricey but I don't mind paying for quality and I did really enjoy it. Will definitely be back next time I,'m over.

30/03/2026: Food is good enough but could use slightly better ingredients for the standard chip shop options. Low review score as the last 3 times the person taking the order did not correctly write down what we ordered, e.g. 3 times added onions to my sons burger and left off tomatoes that he ordered. In an order with only 3 or 4 items, it shouldn't be wrong so frequently.

09/04/2026: Absolute Favourite taco spot in Cork! Favourite Mexican food spot in general to be honest, the beef birria are a must have! The portion sizes are amazing too. The el cholo loco sauce is so good and fresh I had to buy a bottle for myself at home. I love the new cocktail menu, with Shake It To The Max being a stand out favourite. I cannot recommend enough.

30/11/2025: I had heard good things but I was really disappointed. Friends had the chicken and I had the beef birra. Food wasn’t hot. Everything lacked flavour, the tacos were neither soft nor hard.

28/06/2026: I ordered a takeaway from everdish their online ordering website, when i rang china inn them self's, they said i have to order by this site, I placed an order on the night of Saturday 27th, everdish took my order and payment, about 5 minutes later got and email from china inn saying that all their delivery drivers were gone home, and the food order was cancelled, do you not have an agreement with everdish with a time for last online delivery order's, now their say its going to take 5 to 7 days for a refund, a better system needs to be implemented, thank you Tony

03/10/2025: We recently had dinner at the Stables Brasserie and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the manager was welcoming, the service was attentive and professional, and the quality of the food and wine was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere, the presentation, and the care that went into every detail really made the evening feel special.

29/09/2025: Brought 2 Spanish friends to this restaurant for Sunday lunch but left extremely dissapointed. Atmosphere was sad, food was below average and certainly not near the level for the prices charged. The hotel is spectacular but this restaurant is not good enough.
