10/12/2024: Never stayed here, it's an old hotel caught in the history of growing areas around it.
A nice get away from the city for a long serving 3 star establishment.
Meals are well played out via carvery in the bar and staff seem nice overall.

10/11/2024: Proper town centre pub. Good selection of beers and plenty of seating. Live football and Racing on the TV. Cheap drinks, too. They don’t do food.

18/01/2025: Food is nice but the deli staff are ridiculous slow, rather stand up talking then clearing the queue of people. Instead of one person working the till they give you the food and go to the till to charge you slowing everything down

27/09/2024: Estábamos en un viaje en coche por Irlanda con amigos y nos alojamos por dos noches en el Lake Hotel. Elegimos comer en Herbert's ya que estaba cerca del hotel y tenía buenas críticas. El servicio fue muy atento y la provisión de pequeños extras como un aperitivo fueron un buen toque. La comida estaba muy bien presentada y bastante sabrosa, aunque las porciones en particular los entrantes eran pequeños. En general una buena cena, pero era un poco caro.

Cadre, accueil, prestations, restaurant, effet waouh garanti si vous aimez le charme Irish délicieusement désuet mais tellement classe.
Si vous n’aimiez pas vous aimerez… on est transporté dans un autre temps mais avec tout le confort moderne.
Réellement félicitations à toute l’équipe.
J’oubliais le restaurant.
Un peu cher mais tellement bon et fin.
Vraiment zéro défaut.

19/01/2025: It is not one of the best in the chain. They take a long time to bring the food to the table, and the trays with the sauces are empty. Open Mayonnaise and Ketchup jars that roll from table to table, quite unhygienic.
