11/08/2026: Looked nice from outside. But holy lord, seats/floor covered in crumbs, waiting staff with no clue. Ordered steak pieces which were cold, when mentioned to waitress she stared blankly at the dish for a while and then went to talk to chef. Open kitchen and said waitress and kitchen staff whispering about this for a while and then we r told it was straight off pan! Chef in open kitchen never acknowledged this. Any chef worth their salt would be mortified and insist on rectifying this. Oh well, we won’t b back. So many other great places to eat in malahide. I give this place a year! Better service and professionalism in the gelato shop next door.

24/06/2026: Can the older gentleman please cook the chips for longer. Chips should be a little crispy at least not pale and barely cooked.

03/09/2026: They give me frozen shop bought waffles. I was not expecting that from a place named on waffle. strawberry's were mushy and the cream was off. Staff are very nice and attentive, very few decent food place left in Galway. Sad to see all the business working with menu provided by Vandors.

01/08/2026: Had to update my review... Fantastic food and amazing staff... Well done 👍👍👍 that's my review of five years ago.... Now... Things changed a lot.... Chips are absolutely drenched in oil... Onion rings non edible at all... Burger was barely a 4 out of 10... Bread smelled odd... Bacon cooked till was basically rubber.... No cheese at all( if I'm correct, should be cheese on it) I will think twice about going there again soon...

28/07/2026: Immaculately clean even the toilets were top ,better than any of the hotels I have been in Dungarvan lately. Best doner kebab in Dungarvan. Fresh cod fresh and decent portion ,chips top quality and great service.

25/11/2025: Ill start with the positives, the food was amazing. I must say props to the chef. I had a fabulous and generously portioned meal for 9 the star is for the food as everything else went terribly. Following my graduation my family of 9 persons went to this hotel to enjoy a family meal. The first issue is in regards to building maintence. The dad cut through his trousers and his leg on a sharp protruding piece of metal acting as a box cover. You can see from the images attached that the cover is missing 2 rivents and is only secured in the middle. My dad brought this to the managers attention who came over to our table halfway through our meal dispiting it with him. He did offer to reduce the price of the meal by 15% however the suit was bought only that morning and that wouldnt cover the cost of a replacement pair of trousers. My dad explained that he didnt want ot have the argiment at the table while trying to enjoy the meal but the manager continued then offering 50€ off (which was less then 15% of our bill...) He said the general manager will be in touch and took our details so we are awaiting a call. We were initally sat at a high stoll table, we asked to swap to a lower table which was done for us no problem as my grandmother was unable to sit at the higher stool due to them not having back rests. We asked a girl who explained it was her fist day if we could mood and she went to ask another person. After about 5 minutes of talking and looking at us another memeber of the wait staff came over and said we could move. There was a bit of a wait for the starters and mains but nothing too extreme we were happy enough to wait. The same lady who moved us was quite rude when we were enquiring about the startes. The menu here has a "Lighter Dishes" section, we asked if that was there starter section and she clarified this to us in a way as if to say we were stupid. "Yeah... thats the starters, is there another quesiotn?". Desserts took quite some time to be brought our. We ordered 3 desserts as the generous portion sizes had us full up. They took 35 minutes to be brought out. I wonder if they were milking the cows in the back to make the cream. At the end of the meal the bill came out and didnt match the prices on the menu at all. Ive attached images of both their menu and the prices on our bill. We were too tired and warm at this point to bother arguing as the lady taking our bill was the same lady who had been rude earlier. The final kick in the teath was the phrasing of their tips. Menu states groups over 8 have gratuity of 10% included however on the bill it is down as suggested even though it is mandatory. Its only a small thing but it added insult to ingury. Previous vists to this place have been nice. Once i was sushed while entering their upstiars returaunt however I was apologised too after bringing it the the managers attention. I love the locaiton and food here but it has really given me a bad tatse now. I dont think me or my family will return which is a shame because we love their pizzas and come rather often. UPDATE No contact from a manager as promised. Cowboy Buisness people operating in Barna. Anyone looking for a place to stay or eat - do not. Plenty of better options in Galway. Avoid this dump like the plague Update again No hope in getting any help. Management have not contacted and when calling say they have no idea what I’m on about. Avoid at all costs. Update again, years later: I still email from time to time and yet no one there cares. I have not been back since (despite being a regular before) and always suggest for people to avoid it like the plague.

10/09/2026: It's a good gym. There is wide range of machines to fulfill ones fitness goal. A wide range of fitness classes as well. The only gripe is the smell that hits you when you enter the facility. The toilets could do with regular cleaning and fresheners. The instructors are lovely too deal with.

27/08/2026: Staff are very friendly, facilities need a bit of improvement, pool always seems cold and the changing rooms need more regular cleaning.

03/06/2026: Historic building, yet modern and comfortably furnished, very friendly and helpful staff. You walk in the historical footsteps of Guinness here. Would gladly return.

30/05/2026: Hello, Stayed here in April and had a bad experience with a Sibella! So on my arrival I noticed my heating system was set very high. While trying to adjust it I noticed it was actually broken and set on high. I contacted the receptionist several times to tell them I’m actually cooking in the room. Eventually someone came but did nothing. Contacted the hotel after and Sibella told me she’d discount my next stay! When contacting Sibella I then received zero reply! Also breakfast should be missed…

18/09/2026: Good food, good service and friendly atmosphere. Have visited here a few times and never been disappointed.

11/08/2026: I ordered the chicken goujon wrap but it was far from chicken I got. It was grey and I couldn't even eat it. I won't be going back

24/06/2026: Always lovely staff and owners , and if you havnt tried the chicken and mushroom Vol-au-vents, then you havnt lived at all lol , omg they are so tastey 😋

30/08/2026: Very professional bar staff here - they were attentive to everyone despite it being busy and gave very quick service. Staff were friendly. Nice beer garden. Live music when we visited.

20/07/2026: Playing pool in there last night and a very drunk girl who thought she was in peaky blinders threatened to ‘hurt’ me or my boyfriend if we didn’t finish up our game of pool quicker. The staff refused to ask her to leave the premise because they weren’t bothered and had 0 concern for our safety. I think the barman was too embarrassed to say he was afraid of the little drunk girl🥺

17/03/2026: The masala was far too sweet. The rosgh was good, but there was no noticeable difference between the cheese and the garlic naan. However, it was very quick.

02/02/2026: All the menu items we tasted was weirdly sweet. Just sweet. I have no idea how everything tasted the same kind of sweet, be it paneer, baingan, or even non veg curries. The only thing I liked was samosas. I would sadly not recommend this place to anyone with a spice palate.

06/09/2026: Honestly, as far as chippers go, food is a top notch quality. Highly recommend pepperoni pizza.

12/08/2026: waited a long time , then as food and milkshakes were ready was ready was told id have to wait an extra 7 minutes for chicken in the order . no timing of making the food other food is going to go cold and milkshakes are going to melt to milk . nothing more I hate than spending 50 euro to have the food and drinks end up like this ! as I'm typing this they offered to make a fresh pizza that will have to be waited on after the chicken was finally done I just don't get it should have been offered at the same time it took for the chicken to be done I don't know up to yourselves !!
