26/06/2026: Really nice pub great beer garden recommended

06/04/2026: Dropped in to watch Ireland Women Football game. Liverpool were playing the same night, and the Bar Manager was able to split the TV Screens, so everyone was happy. Felt like I was in someone's Living room, with a couple of lively locals at the Bar. They seemed like good Craic, and there's a good atmosphere in the Cosy Bar. They do Food on the Weekend.

10/08/2026: Had a lovely chat with the bartender Sami while we ate our burritos. Awesome place, very cozy!

10/08/2026: What a great spot to have a pint with your burrito. We had a great chat with Sami, half in Polish even. Great lad, we'll be back.

06/09/2026: Asked for chai latte and muffin..seemed to be a lot of confusion with orders , saw one lady return her sandwich, should have been a warning..got chai to go as bus in 10 mins..only one word can describe it ... horrible, it was stone cold ..went in bin as would have missed bus ,not going in again

11/09/2026: Everything was way too greasy. Chips tasted stale and were so dry. Ended up eating 3 pieces of chips and throwing the whole bag away.

31/08/2026: Stayed in this hotel for two days I brought my boyfriend down for his birthday I was actually mortified to say the least the bed was as good as on the floor our back are killing us from the mattress the lights did not work in the room we rang reception for more milk we were told to ourselves I approached the reception got no satisfaction at all no manager came to us stay away the rooms look absolutely noting like the comfort in the photos absolutely digusted with my experience

13/06/2026: An unassuming place in the heart of Dublin that really surprised me. The entrance might not be inviting, but the full tables are probably the best recommendation—you can immediately tell this place has its loyal fans. It's also clear that the guys really put in the effort and put their heart into what they do. The food is delicious, and the pizza is truly excellent—though I'd warn you, it's not for those on a diet, as it definitely has plenty of calories 😉 Despite its unassuming appearance from the outside, this bistro is definitely worth a visit!

10/09/2026: There are many restaurants in Limerick city, but I have always preferred dining at Bamboo because of its great taste and service. Yesterday, 9 September, was actually my 5th visit to Bamboo. As usual, I visited with my wife and daughter, and we ordered butter chicken and naan, which is my daughter’s favourite. I had also invited two friends, although initially they were not sure if they could make it. They joined us about 10 minutes after we arrived. When they arrived, I politely asked if we could move to a larger table. Unfortunately, the request was declined, even though the restaurant was very quiet at the time, with only around two tables occupied. I was told that the existing table was suitable for six people. However, initially the table had only been set with four plates, so the way this was communicated felt a little disrespectful and uncomfortable. Another thing I noticed was that, on our previous visits, we were always served papadums with three different chutneys, which we really enjoyed. This time, they were not offered to us, while I noticed another couple at a nearby table being served them. I am not sure why, and I didn't want to make an issue of it, so I chose not to ask. Our food, as always, was excellent. The butter chicken and naan were absolutely delicious. We ordered butter chicken, three butter naans, chicken chow mein/noodles and chicken soup for five people. Unfortunately, the service this time was very disappointing and, in my experience, the worst I have received at Bamboo. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about the restaurant, which is why I wanted to share the feedback. I genuinely like Bamboo and have returned five times because I enjoy the food, especially the butter chicken and naan. I hope the management will take this feedback positively and look into the service experience, because good food combined with good hospitality is what makes customers want to keep coming back.

02/07/2026: My partner got chips here this evening absolutely terrible had to send back , chips were all black. Very disappointing

05/04/2026: Probably the worst kebab I have paid for. Only reason I give this place 2 stars is that the service was quick. Most of the meat was burned and dry, not enough red cabbage and sauce, overall very disappointing.

11/07/2026: Very disappointing experience. A security guard who introduced himself as “Ivan” behaved in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful way. He started asking me about my nationality for no apparent reason, which made me feel singled out and extremely uncomfortable. Near closing time, there was a group of girls leaving the venue. Instead of handling the situation calmly and professionally, the security guard became aggressive and started pushing them. There was absolutely no reason for this kind of behavior. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect regardless of their nationality or background. I hope the management takes this complaint seriously, reviews the CCTV footage, and addresses the conduct of their security staff.

19/11/2025: Poppyseed is a wonderful place to spend an hour beside the river with an outdoor seated area overlooking the river and bay. The food is freshly cooked to order with plenty of variety. Coffee is the best I’ve had in any location worldwide!! Seriously, the coffee is a lovely blend. It is the heartbeat of Clarinbridge village. It has a beautiful garden centre practically linked to its back entrance. The staff are just lovely, well trained and very friendly. Go and enjoy. Pat Surlis
