23/08/2025: It was a bit disappointing, because I saw the previous reviews and I was expecting something good. I ordered one portion of dumplings, one sichuan chicken and side of stir fried noodles. That’s how supposed to come the order, first the dumplings and then the chicken and noodles. First it take 30 minutes to come and the first dish wash the stir fried noodles only, after 5 minutes the chicken than was more onions than chicken and was not with sichuan pepper, it was just a sugar chilli sauce, and the dumplings was the “desert”. Terrible service and terrible food.

25/10/2025: Jim McGees is finally back to its roots and no longer an Ipase Centre for Ukranians. All rooms have been refurbished and are good to go. Its very nice to see it getting back to Jim and Betty's days with happy tourists.

01/03/2026: When I eneted, the staff at the reception dropped all the paper straws on the floor and they started putting them back in the box. I told them that those should be thrown in the bin and the guys started laughing. The date of the incident 01.03.26 -12.05 pm.

13/02/2026: The chicken has the texture of overcooked pork, the food was cold by the time we got it. They only told me of the 40minute wait after paying Then they added an extra 12 minute on top of that. No proper apology for the delay Not worth the price point. We were really hyped up for this. We didn't even finish the food it was so bad. Honestly please do avoid this place, it's a ripoff

14/02/2026: We visited on Valentine's Day, so we came prepared for a busy evening and longer waits than usual. However, the experience fell well short of expectations. We waited nearly an hour for our starter (a platter of fried fish cakes, shrimp, spring rolls, and chicken skewers), followed by another 30 minutes for our mains. What made this more frustrating was the lack of communication—no one checked in with us until we overheard the table next to us asking about their order and decided to inquire ourselves. We were told the kitchen was overwhelmed with delivery orders. I understand that delivery is important for business, but when diners are sitting at your tables with nothing in front of them, it feels like in-house guests should be the priority. We watched other tables receive apologies and complimentary desserts for their wait, but when we asked for our bill, nothing was offered to us. As for the food itself, it was average at best. We ordered the paad krapow, and as someone from Southeast Asia, I can say it bore little resemblance to the authentic dish. After such a long wait, the quality simply didn't justify the experience. I appreciate that Valentine's Day is hectic for restaurants, but better communication and more attention to dine-in customers would go a long way. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

09/08/2025: Just Stopped Here For The Toilet Break Staff Was So Friendly In The Shop It Has Supermac's Restaurant Onsite. I Would Visit Here Again.

12/01/2026: Whoever was on the ice creams last Saturday the 10th of January in the loughrea plaza, keep them in the job, i had a Ferrero moozie and it was the best I ever had in my 46 years of life, they did not hold back on the choclate sauce, fair game and well worth the money, in other places I have been youd need a search party for the choclate in the ice cream... please dont give poor review ratings for the workers.. put yourself in their shoes, its one of the hardest jobs dealing with tricky customers, take that into consideration when writing reviews.... rate the system, not the workers....

12/11/2025: The food here might be ok at normal times, but don't do the Too Good to Go surprise bags here. We did this yesterday and I go 3 wraps. Two which were the same. These are end of day products, but the quality of this was definitely 'too bad to sell'. Too Good to Go was really good when I used it while working in London. But I deleted the app after some very poor experiences there. One try in Dublin and I've deleted this app again.

11/11/2025: Very nice food. With reasonable prices too. I especially enjoy the Bueno tiffin. Would recommend.

27/01/2026: The staff here are absolutely brilliant. We met a lovely young man who was on his first day in the job. He was so nice and thank us for our kindness and support to him on his first day. Definitely be returning to see how he got on.

30/11/2025: Today, my daughter and her friend were denied entry to this establishment, and we believe it was solely because they are Spanish. The situation was discriminatory and extremely unpleasant. We want others to be aware of what happened so they can decide whether they wish to support a place where such incidents occur. 25/07/2025: Food was good, but the portions rather small. The desert was a joke, we ordered the crumble and it was completely soggy and a tiny piece - absolutely not worth it. Service was good.

24/07/2025: Husband and I chose this pub while visiting Killarney. We love authentic Irish food so this place really hit the spot. When we walked in, we were told that they didn’t have any tables left and they were completely full. There were a couple seats at the bar thankfully so we asked if we could sit there and eat, she said yes. The two young guys behind the bar gave us some drinks quickly, waitress took our food order a few minutes later. We decided to share the mini potato cakes (€8.95), which were pretty much mashed potatoes mixed with chicken and bacon, and then covered in bread crumbs and fried. It was covered in a mushroom creme sauce which was really good, with a small salad on the side (if you can call it that, it was really a couple pieces of lettuce, a single grape tomato and a drizzle of dressing) My husband got the fish and chips (€17.70) which honestly was probably the best fish and chips he’s had so far during our trip. I was a little jealous of his food after I tried some of his. The fish was almost melt-in-your-mouth quality. Soooo good. I would go back just to eat that fish again. I got the spinach and ricotta ravioli (€20.95) which came with a tomato and basil crème sauce, some garlic bread, and a handful of arugula on top. The pasta itself tasted good (jealous of the fish!) but the garlic bread was so crispy (not burnt) that it was almost too hard to chew. The dish would have been fine without the ‘salad garnish’. The only thing I would point out is that obviously the pub is very busy, and it didn’t look like they had an ample amount of seating, but they must have turned away at least 20-30 people because the back of the pub was closed (due to a large party maybe?) and they just couldn’t find a place for those people to sit. So I guess we got there at just the right time? Whatever - I would still go back JUST for the fish and chips ❤️
