The best restaurants

21/10/2025: I ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised! The burger was super tasty, juicy, and well-prepared, with quality ingredients. The fries were also excellent, crispy and well-seasoned. You can tell they really care about the flavor and experience, even when ordering delivery! I recommend it.

10/10/2025: The hot dogs are gorgeous. I love it ❤️

05/05/2026: We got 2 burger, some fries and chicken wings for takeaway. They were really nice and the portions were a pretty good size. Food tasted fresh and delicious.

19/05/2026: I love the Chicken Curry here, very affordable and tasty comfort food. Even when it’s busy people always treat customers well. To my taste, it also offers a very good quality of coffee, never got a badly done coffee here. It is also very different from the Cafe Sol from Dunnes shops, not sure it’s the same coffee, this is far better, the extreme opposite.

19/03/2026: Quiet atmosphere. A few tables. Wi-Fi works well. The coffees are fairly average.

06/03/2026: The food is good but the tiny portions at an expensive price spoil the whole experience. Very very mean considering 90% of the food is vegetables.

13/02/2026: I get food from here regularly and food is always lovely and fresh but when I went to pay it was 50c more than usual and I always get the same thing. I didn’t question I just paid and looked after and I was overcharged (i checked Deliveroo as well) I know it’s only small but I have found this recently around cork places they put on these little charges hoping no one will notice and it all adds up. It’s already expensive enough without adding secret charges

08/06/2026: We had a brilliant experience at The Sin Bin, all thanks to Andrea at front of house. She was incredibly accommodating, helping us plan the perfect intimate celebration evening and effortlessly sorting all of our requests. Her service was absolutely immaculate, and her attention to detail was second to none. Andrea truly went above and beyond to make sure our night would be special!

06/06/2026: I chose this upstairs restaurant for a late lunch, and was really glad I did! The barn-like interior, with its timbered ceiling and whitewashed walls, recalled this building's former use as stables and grain store for the castle. It was spacious and clean, with comfortable chairs. The restaurant is self-service, and there was a decent choice of hot meals as well as a cold counter with quiches, jumbo sausage rolls, smoked salmon and various salads. I chose the cold poached salmon with green salad in a balsamic dressing, coleslaw, and grated carrot with raisins. The salmon was the best I'd eaten for a long time, chunky, moist and sprinkled with herbs, and the salads were very fresh and flavourful. The young man who served me at the counter was both charming and helpful. Would have liked to try one of the desserts but I was much too full! My lunch was not cheap but what you would expect to pay for a meal of this quality. Would heartily recommend!

04/05/2026: I had such a wonderful experience at the Kilkenny Design Centre Café, and I felt compelled to share it. From the moment we arrived, everything was warm and welcoming, but what truly made our visit stand out was a staff member named Kate. Kate went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were comfortable and well looked after. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to love what she does—it really shows in how she interacts with customers. She also had great knowledge of the coffee menu and offered helpful recommendations that we all enjoyed. It’s rare to come across service that leaves such a lasting impression, but Kate absolutely did that for us. She made our visit feel special, and we’ll definitely be returning again!!! Highly recommend this café, not just for the lovely setting and food, but for the exceptional staff.

17/05/2026: My first time. I was confused, Lantern evokes Oriental in my mind. I'm not reviewing the name. It's clear this is family and community. 1.best chips I've had in years 2.best fish and batter in along time 3. Chicken and beef burgers are up there. Wow! 4. The service through the hatch from a warm and welcoming young man made me smile. 5. Phone orders are identified by number and exact time of readiness 6. The Lantern is now our weekly LOCAL treat

19/05/2026: Love the Food, and have tried many Dishes 😋 👌 staff couldn't do enough for you. I asked about Tandoor oven Pit and they invited me there and then to see it . I have to say that kitchen is So clean you eat your dinner of the floor . Everything is freshly cooked as ordered so takes a little time . Id give more stars 🌟 if I could . Dont understand negative comments. Go see for yourselves

11/05/2026: Best food 😋 my Husband and I go regular and have had many of the dishes on the Menu and Its always A1. Today was no Expectation everything is good as order so either ring Ahead with order or wait approx 15 mins but by the time you eat complimentary Poppadoms and Dips your main course is ready. Staff are friendly and come round to ask is everyday ok and have no problem with changing if your dish is not to your liking which Never happens to be honest . Place is clean and hygienic , Toilets are always pristine. Cant fault the place

14/05/2026: Usually it’s our favourite place for morning coffee and toasted food. And staff are always great. But today service by man with moustache Deni (I’m not sure how it was spelled) didn’t say a word to us didn’t add the name and just left our food on the counter quietly didn’t even said what order is that, and also food was cold not toasted as asked. It’s my first negative experience here first time in 5 years of visiting this place.

15/03/2026: I’ve been a regular customer for a long time, but this is honestly the worst hot chocolate I’ve received from Starbucks. The cup looked messy and the drink presentation was very poor. This is not the standard I expect.

01/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a wonderful experience with my recent order! The Paneer Pizza was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The Indian dishes were equally impressive—authentic taste, excellent quality, and perfectly cooked. Everything arrived fresh and was packed well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tasty and authentic Indian cuisine. Will definitely be ordering again!

25/05/2026: We first time at pauls bar, we wanted light meal we decided to have olives and selected of bread, and a bottle of wine to start with, the olives was lovely and bread, we love the wine its our favorite we sat outside which was lovely but the siting area was far apart from the table, uncomfortable and we asked to pay service charge before we receive the service or food which is new to us, decided not to have a meal as it was too hot wanted light meals, not a lot selected on the menu, it was ok a bit over price but we suspected this at the seafront.

13/03/2026: Used to be my favourite takeaway until they changed the curry sauce, i would drink the old curry sauce with a straw but now it's too spicy to even taste my food, change it back! I only ever ordered from here for the curry sauce.
