06/08/2024: I rang to place my order and the girl on the phone couldn't have been nicer. She had a pleasant manner and repeated my order to confirm it. I received a text from the Chinese after the call stating I had made an order and I could check what I ordered to make sure it was correct. I think this is a great feature to have as mistakes can sometimes happen with orders. The girl at the counter was very friendly and courteous. She apologised as we had to wait for a few minutes.(I was there early to collect) The food was OK. I had ordered chicken satay, noodles and a spice bag. For me the satay sauce was a bit bland and the chicken wasn't like real chicken breast. The chips in the spice bag were lovely but the crispy chicken was a bit chewy and there was no veg or chilli in it. The prices were also a tiny bit higher than other local Chinese takeaways.

20/01/2025: Even though the establishment closes at 7:00 p.m., starting at 4:45 p.m., they don't let you go upstairs, and they kick you out at 5:00 p.m., and one of the establishment's employees is very unpleasant and makes very bad service.

10/01/2025: Is it only me, or has Starbucks coffee changed for worse? I've always loved it and would grab it whenever possible ( for the past 17 years) but from maybe a year ago it seems different and I don't really enjoy it so much anymore. I think I'll switch to insomnia. Service was somewhat disinterested, no enthusiasm for work. There was a funny smell in the place, too. I won't go again.

10/01/2025: Amazing. We have travelled twice from portlaoise. Food is amazing and so fast. Curry is delicious and salt and chilli shredded chicken is the best I have ever had

17/12/2024: The place is decent with good food at great value for the price. However, the staff could work on being a bit more engaging right now, it feels like they’re just tossing the food at you . Made me laugh, but a little extra warmth wouldn’t hurt!

29/12/2024: I used to come here regularly, a few times a week even, but sadly, this place has gone downhill over the past year. The quality has dropped so much it’s hard to recognize anymore. Fries are almost always undercooked or soggy, orders keep getting mixed up, and the doner has become so chewy it’s almost inedible. I kept giving them chances, but this last order was the final straw. It wasn’t made properly yet again, and I’ve decided I’m done with this place. Really sad to see a former favourite turn out like this.

15/01/2025: I visited Milano’s today, January 15th, having last been here about five years ago after a disappointing wait time. Deciding to give it another chance, I was pleased with the friendly and attentive service from our waiter, though I did notice the glasses on the table appeared slightly foggy. Unfortunately, the pizza did not exceed our expectations - it was okay at best, with nice herbs, but it got cold very quickly and lacked the flavour we had hoped for. We were surprised it wasn’t better, considering Milano’s reputation. Overall, it was an average experience; while the service was good, the food quality didn’t stand out, and I wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

16/01/2025: I visited this pub and was disappointed with the service. I ordered a dish with soup, but no spoon was provided, and I was told to get it myself. I would have understood if the staff had been busy, but she seemed idle and was not doing anything. The unprofessional attitude of the staff completely ruined the experience.

05/01/2025: Me and my family went to Ely last week and although the food was good the service was disgraceful to say the least. They seem disinterested with their work and not inviting at all. The place appears to be run primarily by younger staff who don’t seem at all concerned about their customers. It’s sad to see the decline of what was once a great spot. Hopefully this gets changed in the not too distant future

05/01/2025: Very disappointed, used to love coming to ely but the last few years the service has dropped immensely, seems to be very ran by kids, making remarks to each other treating their job as a chore or a a social event. Particularly at the take away coffee counter, two girls working there are very condescending, creating a hostile environment as i felt i was putting them out of their way, as well as this they were giggling about other customers and staff members, very unprofessional behaviour.
