28/12/2024: Food was beautiful, but the seat area was filthy and the restraint just opened at 1pm and its was not clean at all food on the ground and sauce stains on the table. Food reasonably priced and it’s very nice and plenty of sauce but the drinks is a Disgrace how much they charge, 7 euro for two drinks that are small cups full of ice you get about 200ml of soft drink, drinks should come with your meals. Or atleast fair priced

02/01/2025: Good fun but the slot machines seem to have taken over more of the space from the arcade side. (Less craic with the kids). Also the five cent machines seem to be gone with more emphasis in spending notes.

06/01/2025: George, the Serbian bouncer at JJ Walsh in Cork is hands down one of the best I’ve ever come across. I see him often when I’m at the pub, and every time, he goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and safe atmosphere. George is incredibly professional, always greeting people with a smile and treating everyone with respect. He’s approachable and friendly, which instantly puts you at ease, but you can also see that he takes his responsibilities seriously, ensuring the pub is a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. What makes George stand out is his consistent kindness and positive energy. He remembers regulars and takes the time to say hello, which makes JJ Walsh feel like more than just a pub—it feels like a community. JJ Walsh is lucky to have someone like George representing them. It’s people like him who make nights out extra special. Huge thanks, George—you’re a legend!

28/01/2025: I don't review unless warranted or for severe bit of constructive criticism. It's a shame that such a historic village struggles to find a decent café with a nice atmosphere. Service with a smile really makes a difference.

27/01/2025: Cute little restaurant. Food was very delicious! I had the oven baked breakfast and it was all perfect. I honestly thought the portions were great. If you're looking for a Denny's grand slam where the portions are so huge you can't finish it and end up throwing half of it away anyway, no you're not gonna get that. No one needs that. My order came out quickly too. Staff was very friendly, especially who seemed to be the main lady in charge. One thing I learned from working in the restaurant business, it's mostly the customer's attitude towards the staff that are the issue.

09/01/2025: By far the worst experience I've ever had. We booked a table and the menu was a set menu, so they knew we were coming and they knew what we were going to order. It took almost 50 mins to bring out the starters, we were told it took so long because the starters and main were coming out together but only the starters came, then over 30 mins later before the main came. I ordered the beef filet and it was lovely but I was so pissed at this point. Once the table was cleared, I ll assume dessert should come out straightaway but no, I waited 20mins, I just got up and left. Then we had to pay almost 70 euros for service charge for a service that was so bad. This was 3 weeks ago and I still can't get over how angry I was.

09/01/2025: Beautiful Chinese restaurant. Food was amazing. I entered starving and left full. A birthday party at the back of the restaurant .

05/01/2025: We popped in for Lunch 4/1/25 and it was delicious! The bar maid was very friendly and helpful as were the locals! Food was delicious, drinks were cold and arrived promptly- overall we had a class wee lunch!! Thank you from your Co Armagh visitors

02/12/2024: We've been here twice so far, and they have the best burger we've ever had in our lives! Actually, all of us had the stack'em high burger, and we are more than happy. The chips are lovely as well. Everything if freshly made and super tasty. I'd come all the way back from Berlin to Athlone just for that burger, tbh. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed! Keep up the good work! Update, been there four times now. Burger as good as ever and tried the pie as well, which was delicious.
