The good was fresh and chicken was seasoned properly.
31/05/2026: We rang ahead to order for collection. We left Johnstown estate to drive to restaurant/take away. Our order was not ready it took another 20min. The House Special Curry was full of cheap fatty meat cuts. The chicken chow mein had zero chicken 2 slices of pepper and a heap of noodles glued together.
I was so disappointed as this Chinese was recommended to us by 2 different people.

21/06/2026: Ordered a spice bag on the 21/6/26 at approx 00:20am. I asked for a spice bag with Veg. I got a measly 4 stringy onions. Then I count how much chicken is in it. 9 pieces of small chicken in it. Never returning not worth the money at all. Don’t recommend this place. The food gets a 2 stars since it’s loaded up to the gills with MSG
05/02/2026: Decided to pop by and try out the Lam inn and I got a 4 in 1 and it was super nice, the curry sauce tasted really nice and very good prices

14/06/2026: Got a takeaway from here last night after a night out having a few drinks. I ordered and got a kebab, tapped my card to pay and when I checked this morning they had charged €20....gangsters!!

22/05/2026: Popped in on a whim as i found myself in Barry for a night.
Friendly service, good prices, fish cooked fresh to order which i always love (nothing worse than it having sat in the hot cupboard all day).
Portion size was fantastic, fish was fresh and flaky, batter was perfect, and chips golden.
A super evening spent on the beach, would thoroughly reccomend.

15/12/2025: The service is terrible, the staff is unprofessional, when I asked to make coffee in a regular cup instead of a paper one, they said they couldn't because the dishwasher wasn't working... and it's been like this for a whole month!!! Horribly unprofessional!!! A complete lack of service and no pleasure from coffee in this establishment!!! The sockets in the hall still don't work, so there's no way to charge your phone or laptop, and the restroom is always dirty!!! Unfortunately...(((

10/05/2026: Waiting 25 minutes on table order. Not one Irish person working there. Went up to ask about the order. Answer was 'I don't know'. In the meantime person passed down to the table with the order. Communication is so bad. Get people who can communicate effectively in English.

22/03/2026: Great service. We were the only ones there so it was quiet but I would be confident that the service wouldn't be any different. Quite possibly the best irish coffee I have ever had too!
10/11/2025: Called in one evening without a reservation and we're seated no problem. We are both vegetarian and knew that they had a vegetarian menu - this is not on the door outside so its handy to know!
Some elements of dishes were not available but the food was really great, we both had starters, mains and desserts and yes, a little more pricey than we would usually go for, but worth it for a treat in my opinion. Atmosphere and service were wonderful!
