The best restaurants

10/11/2024: Ordered 2 toasted sandwiches and a tea (we weren't that hungry) we said no chips or side salad the waitress came back and asked after 2 seconds of us ordering do ye want salad with that and again I said no. She went to tell the women making the sandwich which I presume was the owner "2 toasted sandwiches" then said I did try get them to have salad and chips but they didn't want it" . Went to pay.. for two not even toasted properly sandwiches the waitress charged us for two toasted specials with chips and side salad because I suppose 2 normal toasted sandwiches wouldn't bring them in enough money. I asked for a receipt and she said she had to type in some things manually as she obviously knew I knew she was over charging me. I really dont mind paying for good quality food but not for 2 weak not even toasted proplerlysandwiches . Avoid this place!!

17/10/2024: Stopped here after O'Donnells was too packed for comfort and too crazy for a relaxing time. No expectations going in, left with fond memories. It was definitely a locals bar, and it was amazing. As an American in for the week, I was greeted with kindness hospitality and great conversation from folks who have probably been there hundreds of times. Very relaxed, If you are looking for a quintessential Irish pub with witty staff, real conversations, and leave your pretenses at the door, you are garunteed a great pint of Guiness and an even better experience.

04/12/2024: Typical man - leaving it to the last minute to order one of their renowned cakes for my partners birthday . Luckily for me , help was at hand in the form of Louise - who solved my conundrum. She went over and above the call of duty , and despite only a 24 hour window , still came up trumps . A pleasure dealing with her - she restored my faith in humanity !! They seem to have a great team there that gel well together, making for a pleasant atmosphere and experience for the customer. Would highly recommend.

24/10/2024: Always good. Great staff & excellent range of light food. Great for tea/coffee with colleagues or friends. I'm a regular! I know! 👍

11/01/2025: I am sharing this review as I ordered 2 plain burgers for my daughter this morning and they tried to charge me 10 euro 🤬 for 2 takeaway plain burgers...This place should be ashamed of themselves what an absolute rip off. I never leave reviews but I'm absolutely fuming with these prices

06/01/2025: The environment and the food was not bad but the service was embarrassing, the girl to serve us at the table was annoyed and rude. There were very few people by the way. The food itself was not bad but it is overpriced, the amount of rice and bread provided for the price of €3.50 is unacceptable. At the time of payment, the lady was going to keep €8 euros that she owed me as tips but without doing scenes or saying too much I asked for the change. I’ll definitely not go back.

02/01/2025: Good fun but the slot machines seem to have taken over more of the space from the arcade side. (Less craic with the kids). Also the five cent machines seem to be gone with more emphasis in spending notes.

10/11/2024: Got a fish supper last night and a quarter pounder. Absolutely disgusting. The fish was soooo Dry and over cooked. The burger was slop and Tasteless. Food was cold. The quality of this chipper has gone down so much in years. Definitely won't be using it again and most definitely won't recommend it. If I could give it less than 1 I would. Worst take away ever. Muck.

08/08/2024: Dropped in ordered garlic chip . Guy behind counter asked garlic with cheese? to which I restated no just garlic chip alone. Get home garlic chip ok but covered in cheese. Mind boggles.

28/08/2024: I tried to go to the place once and they didn't let me in for no reason and I had friends inside. I hated the experience, there are better places to be welcomed.

09/08/2024: Gutted to see this has closed. First class coffee and always the best music. Staff were brilliant, friendly, took great care with their work and really knew their coffee. I wish them the best in the future.
