The best restaurants

28/08/2026: Very attentive and hospitable staff, Elizabeth served us and was very friendly

24/08/2026: Painfully underwhelming. Despite 3 staff members present, we had to get their attention every time, despite only 1 other table of 2 present in the restaurant. The lobster was tasteless and far from fresh. My side of ‘buttery greens’ was a bowl of green peas drowning in a pool of butter and though I ordered a baked potato, what I got was a garlic baguette - which was actually the tastiest part of the meal. Cannot see myself returning but will try the Dublin location and hope for a better experience.

17/06/2026: Book here if you want the narrowest bed ever. Around 4 to 5 toothpaste tube wide!! Don't move during the night or else ...

09/06/2026: It's okay, but the price-to-quality ratio is average. The atmospheric Irish decor is a plus.

14/09/2026: I had an absolutely terrible pint here today. I only had 1 sip and it was warm and flat. It's seems like an upmarket bar so I was shocked that they would serve warm flat Guinness I won't be back

12/09/2026: The service from the waitresses was excellent, they were very attentive. However the food was not great. We ordered the carbonara which came with chicken and bacon, the pasta and sauce were quite nice but the chicken was hard, could hardly put the fork through it. It seemed like it was precooked and reheated or was frozen prior to being cooked. We also ordered a burger which was dripping in grease, so much so that the bun was inedible. We brought it to the waitresses attention who told the chef but that was the end of it. Wouldn't be rushing back here for food.

04/08/2026: Very nice staff only a 10 minutes wait and very nice food

12/09/2026: New dart board area set up ( in the bar ), looks very good. 3 boards on the walls now / but i think only the 2 new ones are functional . Looks like no ocke room for the old 1.

25/07/2026: ABSOLUTE awful customer service. Went into this pub last night the “manager” refused to serve us. Firstly saying it was only locals that get served and when questioned why he said we were “too drunk” bare in mind we hadn’t even had a drink and were passing and said we would have one. Awful shame to have people like this working in bars and taken the goodness out of the place. I would stay well away from here until they hire better management. 21/06/2026: On signs says it closes at 1am. On the god forsaken night of Saturday into sunday (12:05) the person i assume to be manager with the ponytail and dark eyebrows decided they were already closing, refusing to let people pay at the till and telling people they can’t eat inside and to leave immediately after getting food and staff were behind the counter/ kitchen giving out loudly when someone came in. If times have changed it must be changed on the sign or atleast be polite about it as on the sign it says 1am. Wasn’t very happy with the supposed manager at all.

08/08/2026: I am never disappointed when I get food from here. They can make the food spicy on request and flavours are very good. It is pocket friendly too and you get good value.

03/08/2026: I visited this restaurant today about an hour before closing. As soon as we arrived, the waitress informed us of the closing time, which was perfectly fine. However, throughout our visit, she made it very clear that she was unhappy we had chosen to dine there. When taking our order, she was impatient with one of my friends, who doesn’t speak English very well, making the experience uncomfortable. About 30 minutes before closing, the staff started dragging chairs, opening the front door, and making it obvious that they wanted us to leave, even though the restaurant was still officially open. To make matters worse, we ordered dumplings, but they never arrived. Given the way we were being treated, we didn’t even feel comfortable asking about them. Despite the poor service, we still left a tip because the food itself was excellent. This restaurant has always been one of our favorite places to eat, which makes this experience even more disappointing. A friend of ours had just arrived from abroad to visit us, and we wanted to bring him here for dinner because we always enjoyed coming here. Sadly, the service completely changed that impression, and it makes us not want to come back. I completely understand that staff want to finish their shifts on time, but customers who arrive during business hours deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, the service we received made us feel unwelcome and overshadowed what would otherwise have been a great meal.

12/08/2026: I love JJ for traditional dinner or lunch. Great selection, fabulous staff, delicious food. Highly recommended for all everyone will find there something to eat.
