19/06/2026: We visited with a couple of friends and had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of flavour. The service was excellent throughout the evening – friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We all really enjoyed our meal and the overall atmosphere. If I’m back in Galway again, I would definitely return. Highly recommended! ❤️

26/03/2026: I'll start off with the owner has the right to refuse I currently drive from Kildare one day a week to see my old man in hospital so juggling with a remote work day and pop on or out a few times. Not the story just context. I'm doing a few hours in coffee shops and have used blackfriars as coffees decent and bright space. The female barista has been so nice. I stay about 3 hours or so, emails and calls you know what most remote humans do Spend normally about 20+ quid each time for the past 4 or 5 weeks, today maybe 14-15 quid. I normally get a bap too. Arrived at 10:15 ish left 1:45 ish. I was leaving today and what looks like the owner told me "you're not welcome to use the shop as an office" I may have been loud while on a call which ok I get, but could have ask me to stop or be quieter, but he went straight to "you're not welcome" I find it mad as the shop is not that busy and light on customers sitting in most days. He didn't ask the screaming 3 year old they are running riot, they are not welcome, or the couple screaming with laugher... I probably spent the same if not more than them. OTT move tbh. Pity your staff are sound, coffee decent and was helpful as I juggle work and seeing my dad. Quiet a sad little man. I'm better off.

29/06/2026: Just want to say a very big thank you to all the staff in this shop an incident took place on Saturday 27th of June and to say they did their utmost best in a panicked situation kept calm all the staff came to our aid nothing was too much for them trying to get us accommodation finding best routes to portlaoise hospital I can not thank them all enough .To the man who owns it i appreciated your call to check in on my friend you were so kind.They were all young staff but amazing .Thank you Mary

06/12/2025: Insomnia Coffee Company have the nicest staff in the Claremorris branch around, so friendly and professional and helpful on choice, great menu, insomnia it is great to have in Claremorris, way better than Costa Coffee!

01/04/2026: Got food delivered came absolutely freezing after over an hour of waiting, and not only was it late and cold but the food itself tasted absolutely disgusting. 🤢 don’t waste your money here

20/08/2025: Great service, very quick turnaround even when busy. Generous amounts of milk with the tea and butter with the bread too.

19/06/2026: Dropped in for a coffee and sandwich, toasted ham sandwich was really good, very clean cafe with lovely staff.

20/04/2026: we went in for lunch today we ordered two cappuccinos two chicken rolls and one tea. The bill came to 32 euro. Now the description of our orders. The two cappuccinos were cold and no froth on top just completely brown. The chicken rolls were not made fresh obviously bought in and served with a limp piece of lettuce no olive oil or any coating. We also asked for the tea with tea bags on the side and came with bag in teapot.

16/06/2026: The rudeness of staff is unlike anything I've ever seen. i implore everyone to visit any other coffee shops that value the business. Staff need customer care training badly.

04/03/2026: Ordered a large number of Pizzas, Drinks and Finger food for the IT Team at Laya Healthcare with Domino's and their job was outstanding! Sean gave me amazing, timely, responsive support from the initial quote request all the way through delivery - on time! All was perfect! Thank you so much, Sean for coordinating this large order, and to the Domino's Team who made our day a memorable day.

01/05/2026: The service is great Annie is always friendly and the food is always ready in less than 10minutes, the food is excellent, would highly recommend the crispy chicken in peking sauce, but really everything is good. Best Chinese I’ve ever eaten at.

03/04/2026: What a horrible judgemental owner. I walked into this pub tonight looking a bit worse for wear due to the weather and my outdoor clothing but I was very polite and the owner spoke to me like I was the gum on his shoe. I clearly was not the clientele he desired in his pub. I asked him why he asked me to leave and he told me he did not need to give an answer and to not come back. He then proceeded to escort me to the door. I then went to Collin's bar where I was welcomed , had warm conversations and had such great craic without judgement.

20/03/2026: I am nothing but polite to staff, was a bit confused on my order as I had just looked at the just eat menu before. Asked for a chicken snack box but got confused with a tender box, and was nothing BUT polite about it. The girl was so rude and belittling. I then went to pay, and i hadnt realised a drink wasnt included with the snack box, and so i asked for a coke zero she acted absolutely bewildered that id asked that, then proceeds to cut me off and aay why hadnt I asked her for a deal, and then continues to laugh with her colleague AT ME infront of me. I am a young anxious person and just was trying to do something to overcome my anxiety and I just felt embarrassed. I ended uo saying I didnt want a drink and left and she made me feel like an absolute idiot. Never returning.

13/06/2026: We love a chipper and I have to say we were so surprised by how good the food and staff were in this place. I had a burger meal and the burger was amazing, not sloppy and perfectly cooked. My husband had a snack box. The chicken was top class, perfectly cooked, not greasy or dry. Both agreed chips were really good also. A great feed. The staff were polite friendly and super efficient. They even came over with extra napkins for us. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
