The best restaurants

06/02/2026: The actual college itself is grand, the layout can take a bit of getting used to but it has great amenities and all of the lecturers have been pretty knowledgeable and happy to take questions. However given the amount of students, the parking situation is an absolute joke. I’d say a good chunk of people (both students and staff) are getting to the college by car, there aren’t NEARLY enough places to park!

19/01/2026: I had heard good things about this restaurant but on arrival, we were disappointed. We were in an outdoor room, sitting over a radiator. We found it to be very expensive - €18 for small-medium sized pizza. Every person must order a pizza - no other option for people who don't eat pizza. The pizza wasn't great. Overloaded with jalapenos and I managed one slice it was so spicy. I wouldn't recommend.

30/12/2025: Beautifully situated right next to the Connor Pass and 20 minutes away from Dingle but not a lot of tourists come here. We were so warmly welcomed here and had the pleasure of taking part in a music night like none other - it was like sitting in a living room among friends. Thank you so much for this night, it made our trip very special!

12/12/2025: Very very rude staff. I politely followed up for my tuna panini as I only had an hour of lunch and was told "we're very busy" another woman that took our order was screaming at me when i just wanted to order. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant!

15/11/2025: The establishment has a lot of work to do on their food . The breakfast was erm to put it politely, very low quality. The sausage was definitely frozen and deep fried as for the rasher I have no word s, scrambled eggs microwaved and as for the coffee flavoured warm water is the best way to put it . I know this is a cafe and not fine restaurant but one would think with such a large foot fall at your front door ...there would be some effort to put in some effort . I would not recommend a breakfast here or a coffee .

14/03/2026: Only good thing about the chipper was the atmosphere cos JR was rolling a few up outside. Me and Shkippy shared a pizza. There were 3 dead mice on top of the pizza.

11/03/2026: Got myself a lovely chicken borger. Banging should get myself a pizza next time. Also met my idol Jeremy Bishop eating a kebab. Brilliant banter 👏 🤣 If I lived in kilkenny this would be my local takeaway!!! #eatatjoes

12/12/2025: Decent Chinese restaurant. Lights were dim, needed a torch to read the menu. We didn't have to wait long for our starters, they were the most delicious part of the meal. The chicken chow mein was said to be served with vegetables, but they were very few. The chicken was very tender and there was plenty. It wasn't overly flavoured. The dessert was not worth the price. It was small and the flavour of the ice cream was disappointing. There was a bit of salt on top of some chocolate, and I could not find any caramel. The atmosphere was nice, they had a bubbly fake aquarium. The noise echoed quite a bit, though, making conversations hard to follow at times. Over all, Ling's is a decent restaurant, but I would not count it among the best Chinese restaurants.

09/02/2026: Food terrible and over priced. €16. 20 FOR TACO CHIP AND SMALL GLASS MILK. TACO AND CHIP WAS DISGUSTING WITH THIN FROZEN CHIPS. SHOULD OF BEEN HOME MADE CHIPS AT THAT PRICE

26/11/2025: My fav fav hot chocolate in the town with jumbo quantity 🤩 I tried their cookie hot choc, and it was just yum tum! Must must have it, they also have bailey hot choc available and believe me you should try out that one as well😋

08/11/2025: Coffee has deteriorated significantly in the last 12 months from a nice rich mellow consistency to a bitter, burned brew. The ambience also needs a freshen!
