The best restaurants

08/03/2026: Nice Food and ambiance. Noodles were superb, honey chilli chicken must try. Just didn't like the dessert some pao match and chocolate could improve the taste.

07/03/2026: ordered food, bowl of noodles with duck. They sent me half a portion. 23 euros for less than a cup of noodles with some duck, Don’t order from here.

31/07/2025: Day old pastry. Deal advertised as any made drink and any pastry ordered a drink and they then stipulated it had to be coffee with no modifications. My mum with severe allergies ordered an oat milk tea to be given the wrong tea and cows milk. Staff were more annoyed at us than apologetic even though they did admit they knew the order was for oat milk. Bad day.

26/08/2025: Nice restaurant. The food was okay and the service very friendly. Many tables have a great view of the sea.

17/08/2025: Beautiful place, the view are amazing and staff were very friendly and attentive, definitely recommend. Steak sandwich was delicious ✌️

14/12/2025: Great food, generous portions, very reasonably priced even in this economy. A very diverse menu, there is something for every taste, including plenty for kids. My girlfriend said it was the nicest scrambled eggs breakfast that she has ever had. It was amazing to us how such a gem of a restaurant can be hidden in an otherwise unremarkable shopping centre in Ennis. Especially as it is a bit of a trek away from the centre of the town. Sherwood’s reminded me of some of the old school family-run cafés in Cork in the 90s that are all long gone, the ones that have been replaced by big chain stores, self-service delis and petrol station sit down areas, which is a bit of a pity. I fear that cafés/restaurants such as this are all dying off due to rising rates, inflation, automation, changing tastes and faster lifestyles. So I hope that this restaurant stays successful long into the future. The next time we are heading to Galway, Clare or Limerick etc we will be sure to visit 👍 I will say one thing negative. As others have said here, the staff are definitely a bit rude, even towards each other, which is the only reason I have given 4 stars.

24/10/2025: What a hidden Gem. Inside the confines of Clonroad S.C. Ennis, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes to suit all tastes. With a constant hum of chat and laughter from the well fed patrons to the rhythmic click of dishes this dimly lit space was perfect for lunch. Individual booths offer a modicum of privacy too. The attention given when I mentioned my peanut allergy was great and very professional too. When I came back the next day the server remembered me which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend this spot for lunch.

28/01/2026: Very bad experience. Pasta is not tasty at all. Restaurant is super small, glasses for water dirty. I'd recommend choosing other restaurants?

28/01/2026: I don't understand the 5 stars. I asked for carbonara. No home pasta, they usea bacon and cream instead the proper meat and egg yolks. Sorry but i don't recomend it.

14/08/2025: For a building that has so much history to and known name its a shame that the building isn't cared for. From a bus empty holders for flower boxes, tampons and durex on display instead Plus side food and pints are on par with any pub nearby

11/07/2025: A family of 4 went in to get food, even though the sign outside on the road says food, and the sign as you walk in says pizza, they were not serving on a Thursday night in peak season in July, the pub was dead, and the barman was not exactly friendly, so we went elsewhere. Such a pity as it has so much potential.
