The best restaurants

20/02/2026: Fantastic food, fast service and an improvement, which i thought was a impossible, to the bigmac. Usual high price for Ireland, but half the price of my hotel.

01/02/2026: Food is okay, but far too many rudimentary mistakes from staff all the time. "Sorry, they're in training" has a limited lifetime as an excuse. It's beyond ridiculous how often they get orders wrong, as I don't go here very often, but anytime I do, there is always a problem with the order. The bathroom is still a mess 27 years after they first opened in spite of management constantly being told about it. Just do something about it rather than replying with generic *hit the return button* requests to email you about it. You are fully aware of the problems over the years from all the feedback you get online.

25/11/2025: What a lovely, clean and modern place this is. Its the first thing you notice walking in. Impressed that they were open too at 7pm. Doesn't get 5 stars for a few issues. First they weren't taking cash which was annoying because that's how I was going to pay, the food was lovely and tasty however the burrito fell apart easily after a few bites and the fillings were a tad scarce in places but as mentioned place was lively and staff friendly. Will be back..... Edit: This place has gone massively downhill since. Second last trip was ok but still gave it one more chance two weeks back & it was awful. Staff still can't wrap a burrito properly but the fillings were rotten, like I'd to buy a pack of chewing gum and finish the pack to get the awful taste out of my mouth. Most tables were dirty sitting in and the 3 tables opposite me had food left on them and not cleaned off for the 25 mins I was there. Shame but most Boojum franchises seem to be slipping outside of Limerick as well.

05/10/2025: The Alt Pastor Tacos with Chipotle Sour Cream was the best and most flavourful vegan dish I've had at a fast food restaurant. It was actually spicy! I loved it. The store was extremely busy so coming in prepared is recommended.

24/12/2025: Me and my family start to come to this restaurant since 2021 and we never could stop coming because everyone and the food is lovely, everything what a food lover can say. Thank you guyss🫶🏼😊

20/12/2025: Food is good but staff aren't very nice to there customers no Xmas cheer or anything if there staff could be a bit nicer we all get on fine but they don't make you feel welcome at all very disappointing

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.

24/07/2025: The coffee here is very good, along with some very good snacks. Although everything is very good – breakfast, lunch, and snacks – the competition is very high here in Cork regarding cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you wouldn't see a cafe like this anywhere else, so to speak! Now they're everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe, called Noir, needs to create its own brand, its own specialty, so that people become interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish it the best of luck in its future endeavors.

28/10/2025: Usually love Hook & Ladder, but last visit wasn't the best experience. We couldnt get out of there quickly enough literally tormented by the same looped 4 traks of 'musak' and at way too loud a volume for comfort. We couldn't believe none of the staff seemed to be aware that the tracks were replaying, I think we heard them almost a dozen times. The other unbelievably loud noise compounded the first. Five or six late teen to early twenties waitor/waitresses were making a right racket having a congress at the counter, blissfully unaware of the volume they were at. Very nice, each one, but we genuinely felt agitated and stressed by the time we got out of there. Not a visit we'd ever like to repeat.

18/10/2025: One of my favourite spots for brunch in Waterford. We recently hosted a baby shower here and the service was lovely. We were accommodated nicely and also the food was great. Highly recommend for a cozy and relaxing vibe .

19/03/2026: I had fish and chips at Aprile before and I also had chicken nuggets at the same place. I used to find them delicious but I thought I found them too greasy and heavy especially chips. My parents thought they found them too greasy and heavy as well. They're just disgusting. We're not ordering anything from Aprile ever again. We'll just have to avoid this place and forget about it, we're afraid. In November 2009, two little girls annoyed me by asking too many silly questions while I was having a meal. They wouldn't leave me alone. They were driving me mad! They were not supposed to talk to strangers you know. I will never go there again either.

09/03/2026: No problem with the fries or the chicken, but the burger smelled rotten. I took one bite, spat it out, and threw the whole thing in the bin.

19/01/2026: Kebab, Pizza, Burger or Fresh Fish and Chips... Landi's is my first choice. Very handy in new location. Delicious and well seasoned food made with fresh ingredients. Offers both take away and indoor sitting. Recommended!

19/01/2026: Didn't enjoy this at all.Chips were over priced and just didn't taste of anything...they were just so-so. The kebab tray was uneadable ...way too spicey and the portion was on the small side. This day and age with things the way they are you should be getting quality with what you pay for, I didn't find that here and won't be going back.

05/01/2026: Not as good as it once was. More batter than actual fish and pricey I suppose due to the location. Finnegans near the bridge has better fish n chips at their takeaway at a more reasonable price

26/02/2026: Quesadilla this was awful I have tried the burrito and that was ok and the classic bowl the same. But this is different a long wait for this quesadilla and the girl working there put 2 pieces of meat a little tomato and a little onion the whole thing was just lettuce and enough cheese but the cheese was like plastic and has no taste also the quesadillas aren’t quesadillas at all they are just two wraps plopped on top of each other and put into the toaster for a millisecond so extremely messy to eat wouldn’t recommend for children

16/12/2025: Very disappointing outcome to this place. I had high hopes given the name & reviews..... But what it appears is that the place has been taken over, kept the name but taken all the smoked food off the menu. Rather than sample what is on the menu (what appears to be a basic attempt at smoked/ pit food..... Without the smoked/ pit food) I took my business elsewhere to avoid further disappointment.

19/09/2025: Clean, prompt, good vibe, easy interaction. I'm a fusspot who always makes my own breakfast, and the lady was 100% there for that and everything came out perfectly. Great place for a nice traditional breakfast, 100% happy with the experience.

05/09/2025: A true Irish pub, this one can say is 100% Irish. Irish food is served here, and of course, a full Irish breakfast. I can tell you, after a full Irish breakfast, you don't need food for the rest of the day, but it all depends on how much money you intend to spend. Birthday parties are held here; the pub is huge, so you can do whatever you want.
