The best restaurants

19/05/2026: I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was prepared with great care and flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout the evening. I also really liked the interior design and overall atmosphere — the restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a very pleasant dining experience. I would definitely come back again and recommend it.

24/04/2026: This was our first visit to the Moghul. Having lived in the UK for thirty years I am aware that Indian restaurants in Ireland have their own iteration of the cuisine. By way of a preamble I make curries from many of the Indian regions at least once a fortnight. They are made from scratch with due care and attention. Many of the YouTube videos done by Indian-based cooks/chefs are an excellent source. The Moghul experience was a mixture of highs and lows. We ordered takeaway - a chicken tandoori starter two different chicken curries, pilau rice, and naan. The service was friendly which is always a good start. The free popadoms were inedible, without a hint of crispness. The word 'floppy' springs to mind. Thrown in the trash. The tandoori chicken starter was very pleasant, the flavourings were subtle and the meat was tender. A decent sized portion too. Each gravy in the curries had its own distinct flavour. Once again the spices were subtle, but they were presented as integrated layers which suggested thoughtful preparation. I had requested an added level or spiciness for my curry which was delivered perfectly. The naan, whilst small, did the job. The pilau rice was 10 out of 10. The colour in particular was perfect. In terms of lows the biggest was the meat in the curries - it was a car crash! We had both ordered tikka meat, and when I ordered over the phone I specifically asked whether the tikka was cooked in a tandoor oven (I own a small one myself) or under a grill. The answer was tandoor. Whilst the pieces of meat had skewer holes in them the flesh was as white as milk, with almost none of the colouring/flavour one would expect from a tikka marinade. If this meat spent more than 30 seconds in a tandoor oven I will eat my hat! There was zero evidence (taste and colouring) to suggest otherwise. The 'tikka chicken' in both curries was tasteless and bland. How was this possible? In truth it ruined what could have been two excellent curries Although a moot point, it was breast meat and not thigh which tends to have more flavour. Believe me when I say I wanted this curry house to work, because it is my local. I called them within minutes of eating to ask what was going on. The staff member who answered the phone responded that I was the first person EVER to make such a comment and could not adequately explain how 'tikka' meat can have zero tikka. I will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but the next time the tikka police will be in town! PS the online booking system would not let me order until the restaurant opened at 17:00 which was very strange. I mentioned this to the staff member at the reception/till. Apparently this too was the first time this issue had EVER been mentioned. It was an experience filled with Firsts... UPDATE I returned to the Moghul this evening for a takeaway. After previously being assured by the manager I'd be 'looked after' (because of issues with the previous order) this promise was a totally meaningless gesture. I was told that the chef's disputed my 'tikka free' feedback. Not sure why the management did not use the Google review response option to respond with this opinion. During this wonderful verbal bunfight as I asked repeatedly to pay for my takeaway the 'bloke' said he had read all my Google reviews and in a threatening manner said if I had written similar things about the Moghul 'things would be very different'. Oh dear. The manager then kicked off saying that she was very upset about my initial review, and 'I should think about people's jobs'. All very defensive. The angsty vibe certainly helped build up my appetite. After all that friendly interaction I see no pont in reviewing the second takeaway, other than to say the tikka meat was the same colour as porridge - see photo. The tandoor chicken tasted deep fried. PS as previously mentioned don't even think of online pre-ordering. The mixed messages from the 'management' on this topic are more all over the place than their customer service. The Tikka Police have left town and they will not be back.

11/01/2026: Some of the items we bought were nice found it a bit pricy and the place is very messy the si down part is now used as a storage area and is in full view of customers also man making pizza was not wearing any PPE hair exposed clothes grubby

01/02/2026: DO NOT GO HERE INSECTS IN FOOD Myself and my boyfriend ordered two subs each today and after my boyfriend took a bite of his we noticed small grey insects crawling out of the food. We called them up to let them know and the person on the phone was horribly rude kept saying "what's the problem" after telling them there's insects in the food. He said "well then take a picture if that's true". We'd already threw the food out in the bin because I was horrified. Honestly a horrible attitude to have from the staff and I've gotten sick from the thought of it all.

03/05/2026: We arrived at 18.05, our order of two burgers and two garlic cheese chips was taken promptly by waiting staff. We then waited fifty minutes and still no food, the restaurant was not to busy but the two chefs looked like they were in over their heads. We had to leave as we were constrained for time, we paid for our two drinks, the waitress was very apologetic but we reassured her it was nothing to do with her. Disappointing to say the least

04/06/2026: Order was wrong, ordered a chicken and bacon sub with red onion and sweet corn, got the sweet corn but not the red onion got red peppers instead, also ordered an extra cookie and never got it, second time this has happened when ordering and extra cookie and its starting to really annoy me was fine the first time but the second time not so much

17/05/2026: If you want sub with veggies. This your spot. My attender forgot to put meat in.

01/01/2026: Got a quick bite. Bought a meal deal and went large on fries and drink. Bag of fries was tiny. When I queried the portion size, the manager said he doesn't control the portion size. Food was the cold side of warm.

04/11/2025: I have had chilly cheese bites in many burger king & there are really good. This one is horrible. They always give cheese bites that are made hours ago. Just reheat them and give. It was like stone. Absolute waste of money, The staff are friendly but food is horrible. Very disappointing

16/03/2026: soup was cold today,had to ask for it to be heated 2 separate times.Other customers also complained of cold vegetable soup

12/02/2026: I ate here a few times. My chicken wrap was fine. They kindly offered to toast it for me. The coffee was good as well. Sometimes it gets busy. It can be hard to find a table and the seats are not comfortable. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant.

29/04/2026: I paid fees to this college, but unfortunately my visa was refused. At the same time, my friend and I both paid the fees together. My friend received the correct refund properly, but I did not receive mine. After that, I requested a refund, but the college did not respond properly and did not return my amount in a fair and transparent way. There should be a clear and equal refund policy for all students, but I did not experience that here. Even after multiple follow-ups, I did not receive a proper response or a satisfactory refund. This experience was very disappointing. I would advise future students to clearly check the refund policy before taking admission and to be careful while making payments.

10/05/2026: Went for a quick lunch on 3 separate occasions in between swim competition sessions. The line was very long, 2 ppl behind the counter, extremely long wait times until you order at the counter and you cannot order food unless you know your table number? Wait times for for food extremely long. For some reason pizza option stopped being available at the moment it was my turn to order despite the ppl before me ordering 2 pizzas. Only positives the food is OK and prices are reasonable.

22/04/2026: I had a hilarious (and tragic) moment when a seagull snatched my lunch, but the staff at Wok In were absolute legends. They were so kind and gave me a fresh replacement bowl for free! The service is amazing, the staff are lovely, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend—just watch out for the birds!
