The best restaurants

27/03/2026: It was nice to see this restaurant reopened and the food did not disappoint. There was a good choice of main meals and what I really liked was that my fish was cooked fresh. The service was very prompt and the staff were all lovely. Even a veg bowl for our baby wasn't a problem. The meals were lovely and the kids meals were good value as well.

17/07/2026: I promise you this is the best kebabs in Ireland, I praise the people that work there, they always sort you out with a smile and you leave the place with a smile. Please never stop doing what your doing kebabs 20/10 atmosphere 20/10 the people working there 100/10 I will always come back to this place when I visit my family here in Milltown

14/09/2026: Please double check your order when collecting it from drive thru as i got the wrong order and then had to wait 10mins in the drive thru queue and the rest of the meal got cold

27/07/2026: Have been here for the first time. Excellent pizza with a lot of cheese on it. Nice staff.

16/08/2026: Very quick and friendly service. The chicken sandwich was very good. The gourmet burger was okay, nothing special. Prices are in line with those in Dublin. Perfect if you want to stay relaxed at the hotel.

06/08/2026: Just left the Playwright bar now. My son and I were served lovely food in lovely surroundings by one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Despite being so busy she looked after us very well and was having fun with us and other customers as she went about her business. Her name was Julia. We will definitely be back because she created such a great atmosphere.

23/09/2026: Don’t eat here! A homeless person stole my pizza off my plate!

08/09/2026: The lady behind the counter at 1am had it together even though we didn she was doig an awsome job.

08/09/2026: We're never informed that roosters had changed ownership and we were in there last week and my wife ate what she loves there but did not know that they had changed there ingredients and my wife has been sick since because she suffers from ulcer collinitis and has to be careful what she eats and we have been going to roosters in douglas for 4 to 5 years and never had a problem

20/08/2026: Disappointing portion sizes Ordered the chicken wrap meal with mashed potatoes. As you can see from the photos, the mash barely filled a third of the container — basically two spoons of food. The wrap was alright, but the side portions are unacceptable for the price.

11/07/2026: Staff very nice and portion size and price is superb. Food is absolutely gorgeous

06/07/2026: Direct order from the Deliveroo app at 1:30am, 2:20am and it was still with the status of preparing the food. We called to find out how it would be and at first the staff hung up on me saying that they were already closed. I called again after a certain time asking about the order and he asked for the address and that he was already on the way, I asked for how long and he hung up on me again. I called twice more and they didn't answer. I had to ask for help from support directly from the app where they returned it saying that in 7 minutes it would arrive at the residence and it didn't. All this time of call and contact with the chat was already more than 2:40am and in Google it already said that they were closed. Bad service, if you don't want to work better resign and leave the job to those who really need it.

10/09/2026: Wouldn't recommend, service not great, premises nothing special,food mediocre would not go back, very disappointing

08/09/2026: Fresh and delicious. The service was fast. I ordered garlic sauce prawn to take away before jumping in the train. Price very reasonable

24/08/2026: Went for an event few weeks ago. The event was great - bingo loco however the venue staff and bar have alot to answer for. €50 for a bottle of wine thats €7.50 in tesco!!! And an absolute vile bottle at that. Shot staff selling wrong shots only to be told there's only one shot available after paying. Poorly run venue fleecing people out for events and a good night. Think they are taking advantage of groups they think are all drunk when they arrive which is not the case for majority! Wouldn't go back!

23/08/2026: It was one if the worst experience i had we paid for the tickets and we went outside smoke and then the bouncer didn't let us to go back in he said we have to go on the side for 10 minutes we did and then after 10 minutes he didn't let us to go back in even we had the tickets and everything he was a very rude person I didn't like him at all none of my friends was able to go back inside it was horrible we spend a lot of money and we wasn't even in the club for an hour we couldn't go back after to the club I would not recommend this place at all

28/05/2026: Unreal food!! ,have to give credit where it is due prices are so cheap for the size of portions you get it’s unreal!! Definitely recommend 😍

20/03/2026: I've been to all the Chinese takeaways in Carlow and The Tiger is number one. New owner, better flavors. I recommend it.

25/07/2026: Incorrect labelling of allergens. Fish and chips and burger and chips claimed to be gluten free but then told the chips are not gluten free according to server. Wings were labelled as not containing gluten but contain gluten. Couldn’t order anything gluten free and the menu being labelled incorrectly is worrying. Why have allergens on a menu if they are all incorrect in this day and age? Very disappointing and will not be back
