23/11/2024: I had a disappointing experience with Ashford Oriental Chinese Takeaway that I feel compelled to share. I ordered Chinese food through Just Eat, expecting a delivery time of 30- max 45 minutes. After waiting for over one hour, I called to check on my order, only to be met with a dismissive response from the staff member who answered the phone saying 'it'll be there when it's there kind of thing'. It felt like they didn't care about my situation, and I was left feeling frustrated and hungry. One of the main reasons i chose this place over others was due to the delivery time advertised. 15 more minutes go by, so at this point we're at 1 hour and 15 minutes... When the food finally arrived—over an hour and 15 minutes later—the delivery woman gave off a very rude and unpleasant demeanour. She was seemed visibly annoyed, unfriendly and kind of flung the delivery at me without saying a thing. There was no apology for the delay, which would have been a simple courtesy. Instead, glared at me in a very unfriendly and rude way, as if my inquiry (when i rang the restaurant checking on the order at the 1 hour mark) had upset her. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I understand that things can get busy, but waiting this long for a takeaway is not justifiable, especially when the restaurant sets specific delivery expectations. Takeaways are not cheap, you get it as a treat for something quick and easy. Unless you're me and have to wait an hour and nearly 20 mins and get very rude treatment and no customer service along with a hefty bill. This was a horrible experience. I will not be ordering from here again and would advise others to consider their options carefully.

12/11/2024: We ordered caramel frappe but didn’t quite like the taste of it if I compare to what I had at costa coffee. While the other desserts were quite great in taste like the carrot cake or brownies! I alao got a chance to have one of mocha beans new dish at Christmas market which I would really like to talk about and recommend to you all. Its the chimney cake comes with different flavours nutella, apple strudel, brownie and more😍 Wow worth to have!!

03/02/2025: The inconsistency of opening hours is so annoying! Saw on FB that they had breakfast bank holiday Sunday. Came down for breakfast on the bank holiday Monday at 11 and the chairs are up on the tables. The restaurant had just posted on FB and has no opening hours anywhere online. Had a note on the door. Wasted trip. As a local I never recommend here because it’s not worth travelling down to find it closed 🙄 they often close early without warning too. The food is good but due to the inconsistency we don’t come here often.

02/12/2024: Facebook post said winter opening hours are from 9.30am on Sundays. Arrived at 11am to find it doesn’t open until 12.30. Left bitterly disappointed and hungry!

08/01/2025: I was in Dublin for a stopover, and I didn't fancy hotel food, so I searched for a Halal restaurant, Zytoon came up with good reviews and decided to order via deliveroo, guys I wasn't disappointed it was worth every penny, even thought the temperature was in minus figures the food arrived some what warm. 1 - I ordered chicken shish with nan bread. I also had an option to have chicken separately, which was a plus as I enjoyed the bread, which was not soggy with the sauce. Chicken was full of flavours moist and juicy with just enough spices, salad, garlic, and chilli sauces, which were all packed separately, so I enjoyed the food the way I liked. 2 - I also ordered flafal wrap and fries. The flafal was also moist and flavour full. The only negative was that nan bread was soaked in sauce. It would've been better if I had an option to have flafal separate like chicken shish. However, this doesn't take away the service, quality, taste, and appearance of the food. If you are around Dublin Airport and looking for decent and good quality food, then look no further. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to go there to experience an ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant.

03/11/2024: I ordered coffee and a pastry. The pastry was a little dried out, but it was at the end of the day.

15/10/2024: Staff were very nice. Plenty of space but please please clean your toilets ! They were filthy with no loo roll and the only visible check list in the toilet was last signed by staff on Sept 9th ( my visit October 15th 🥹)
