19/03/2026: The rudest girl server I ever met. Asked me if I wanted room for milk - I said yes. Then when she served the coffee - it was filled to the top. I asked her could I trow a little bit out in their sink and add some milk and she sighed and looked at me as if I had just killed her family. Horrible.

23/01/2026: Drive up from Wicklow every week to get this Chinease. Proper nice grub. Normally get everything but the vegetable spring rolls. Only negative is got sweet and sour sauce all over my fresh clobber last week haha. Defo gets a 9.8 boshes out of 10 though

28/08/2026: ADVICE TO OWNER: do a few simple authentic chinese dishes, do them well and people will drive for miles to eat your food. Look at the Olde Glen Bar near Carrigart, middle of nowhere but fully booked every night! The takeaway menu at Chinese Palace is MASSIVE. Trying to do far too much means nothing is good in the end. We went about 9pm and the place was very busy and popular which we hoped was a good indicator. We ordered 7 different main dishes, squid, beef, various chicken, plus noodles and rice. Some were just about ok, some were terrible. Sadly, none of them were actually good. Gloopy generic sauces, tough chewy squid, overly sweet cloying flavours, too much salt. Not much evidence of freshly wok-fried ginger, onion, spices, veg, meats, etc. Tasted gloopy like it came from a big wet pot rather than a hot wok. Paid 78 euro for takeaway for five people most of it ended up in the bin. Chinese Palace: You could do so much better if you aim for a smaller simple, fresh, authentic menu.

27/08/2026: 1 star is being kind. Was staying nearby and thought we would try a Chinese. I found it strange when I walked through the door and didnt smell food cooking or that distinct spicy smell like most chineses. What we received was microwave rice, microwave noodles, to claim the beef is irish is an insult. I had 2 bites of each dish and unfortunately vomited & the other for 2 full days. We threw the bag in the bin. As I said only a few bites and I was violently sick. My partner also needed the toilet frequently. The rice was like individual grains with scrambled eggs through it, it reminded me of plastic which in turn made me think of microwave rice. The noodles were rubbery and full of oil. AVOID this place at all costs because we wasted €34 and lost two days of our holidays.

01/07/2026: Not gonna lie. I heard blindboy boatface talk about this in his audiobook. Thought it was an actual fair. Can you imagine my disappointment when I drove past a food shop. Quiche was nice though. 👍🏻

07/07/2026: Food is standard for McD , but service is poor for a disabled person as their not interested in helping to bring the meal to customer . Disabled Toilet Smelled bad and washing of hands facility leaves a lot to desire .

05/09/2026: Where do I begin, ordered food with the young one yesterday, upon finishing my chips I was still hungry so I got a chicken wrap while my daughter was still finishing hers, got the wrap, then my daughter wanted to go over 2 meters to look and pick out her ice cream for after food, we weren't there 1 minute when our food we hadn't finished was snatched and binned. I asked them when I realized why did they do that, 'oh were ye not finished', absolutely astonishing. When the matter was told to the manager, he just banged on the till screen, went to the chef and no response, i said I want my money back please, still no response or an apology from this so called manager with the chin strap for a beard. We got the ice cream and left, but when ordering the pink crunch ice cream, one of the workers tried to put one of the ingredients in the microwave as it got hard(it was still in plastic bottle), he said he'd open a new one, but when we left and on our way to car, that ingredient in the ice cream had hardened and was like hard glue, ice cream inedible. An absolute disgrace of an establishment, and eye sore to the community while taking people's hard earned money in the bin. Not a clue between them. Will never be back.

29/01/2026: First time ordering Indian from here yesterday and I’m seriously impressed! Food is class, full of flavour and proper portions. Everything arrived hot && fresh, couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be ordering again!!!

27/12/2025: I always order Saag Paneer from this place coz it's really nice. But last night I ordered a saag paneer main portion, there were only 6 tiny pieces of Paneer in it, used to get big chunks of paneer previously. I was disappointed, as I couldn't enjoy the full meal without paneer in it. Won't be buying from here again.

10/06/2026: I got a pizza chip and drink. Pizza is 10 inches. heavy thick dough, dry, very little sauce. Chips some were recooked others not. but passable. my major issue is the price. 16.70 euro. I think that is far too expensive for a small pizza chip and can of drink. Pizza was really well below what to expect, as were the chips to be honest.
