19/09/2026: Oldish woman I’d say early 50s last year refused to serve me a vape with my passport card(which is a government issued id) which stated my birthday was 04/03/2007 making me 18. She stated that she couldn’t serve me as I looked under 25 even though I had my id refused to serve me and then continued to serve my friend who was with me one with no id. And I now am in college and go into the shop twice a week and when I tried buying one again said I was barely 18. And everytime I go in she gives me dirty looks. I was I’m today just before 3oclovk and she gave me dirty looks the whole time and then charge me €1.20 for a cup with a bit of ice and water in it, which I’ve went in and gotten a cup of ice with water plenty times before from the machine and have never been charged.

01/05/2026: Youngish lady behind the deli very rude and ignorant, the man at the till had absolutely no manners, a grunt is all I got when I said hello how are you. I gave them both the benefit of doubt the first time but it was worse on my 2nd attendance, will never stop with my bus load of customers again, everyone of them complained about the rudeness of staff !!

13/03/2026: On 23/02 at about 8.30pm my adult daughter purchased a chicken spicebag with sweet and sour sauce at Millenium 2 Castleknock. Her previous meal had been lunch at 1pm on the same day. At about 11.30pm she was violently ill with projectile vomiting, severe stomach pain, diarrhea and cold sweats which lasted for several hours. Although she was not fully recovered the next day, the main symptoms had eased. We have reported the matter to the relevant authorities. Please draw your own conclusions, and proceed with caution.

17/09/2026: Very unpleasant experience with the staff. **17 September at approximately 2:00 PM**, I asked about the fruit used in the “Damson” jam sold in jars, because I was not familiar with it and simply wanted to understand what kind of fruit it was, what it tasted like, or which fruit it was similar to. > The staff member only replied, “It is a fruit,” and then started laughing when I politely asked for a clearer explanation. Instead of helping me, she made jokes at my expense in front of other customers and implied that I did not know anything about fruit. > I felt humiliated, disrespected, and embarrassed in front of other people. Because of the way I was treated, I could not continue shopping and left without buying the products I wanted. > Customers should be able to ask normal questions about unfamiliar products without being mocked. I felt that the staff’s behaviour towards me was discriminatory, and I hope management reviews how customers are treated.

13/04/2026: Been waiting for getting my foods like ten minutes but there is two staffs while make six rolls but other staff still serve other people who arrive late, im still waiting for my turn and lacking communication with me as being deaf. Not paying attention. Waste my time.

08/04/2026: Bouncer was rude and obnoxious rejecting real id, I had my license and passport. Wouldn’t recommend booking for an 18th.

26/08/2026: The fries were stone cold when I got them, returned them. Second batch was half cooked. No salt available to customers. Place looks dirty ,is full of flies, and screaming kids. Avoid.

06/09/2026: Must say they do a great vindaloo and a lamb madras.. Naan bread pilau rice top drawer.. Food is not oily at all.. Also a good choice of a Sunday for the buffet.. Goes down a treat with a bottle of merlot!!

06/09/2026: Lovely bright clean premises. Polite helpful staff. The food was delicious and finished off nicely with good coffee and cake.

20/09/2026: I know it’s not got to do with the staff, but the washer is after scratching both sides of my car. The alloy cleaner brush was completely off because it’s the same circular marks on both side sides of my car.

21/08/2026: This place is a disgrace if I was u i would never eat there ,I ordered a chicken bacon burger meal the burger was just a blob of mayonnaise with a little half burnt chicken piece and the chips were soggy. Most notably the burger just tasted of salt too much salt I took 1 bite and left , absolute dive of a place never again u can keep your maxol too

What do you mean I got half my order jammed in a bag so tight it burst all over my doorstep, their phone number doesn't work to call to complain or to get a refund/the other half of my order??? Reading other reviews proves this is not an isolated incident either. I say, don't bother

11/08/2026: Huge portions. Very tasty. Great value. Sausages are not what you'd normally expect from a chippers. We ate outside on benches in the sunshine.

11/08/2026: For me my meal was absolutely delicious..I went for Chicken tikka kebab 🥙 ample chicken,, real chicken the flavour was excellent..nan bread freshly made. an absolute delight to have in castle town Bere ..well done to you all continued success agus go maith xx

29/10/2025: Place is very nice i like the vibe but. Security were racist towards me and asked me to leave with no reason. Asked for the manager but Security said they don't need the manager to discuss as they are over the management. Court management need to have a control over the Security as they have been racist towards a specific community. I would like to discuss more about this if the management can contact me at the earliest. The Security even said I would be arrested but when I asked them to call the guards they said they don't have to and to leave the property. Requesting the management to look into the matter. My image was tournisd. And It's not justified. Ireland has been secular country.

04/09/2026: Di Nardi's is the good place to get a bag chips, but I have not been in it for ages, the only gave a bag of only half cooked chips. Who was cooking the chips need to get changed how to cook.

17/07/2026: Fast, friendly service, The food one of the best I've had from a Takeaway and as ii travel abit for a living I tend to get takeaway occasionally, Di Nardis will be my go to if I'm anywhere near Athy and I'm from cork
