The best restaurants

10/05/2025: I work nearby and have been visiting this place since my college days 12years ago and there nothing but friendly and professional. Love the pizzas and the coffees! Great service overall.

06/05/2025: We were in KFC tonight and I am so disappointed and annoyed about how we were treated and the food we received. Firstly the tables which were open were dirty and I had to go ask for napkins to clean it. We ordered to dine in at 8:50, our food was packed and we were asked to leave as they were "closed". The two women at the counter were extremely rude, one is named Edit. Closing time is 10pm. They didn't pack any napkins, ketchup or forks to eat our food in the car, our food was barely warm. This is unacceptable customer service from KFC.

27/04/2025: Love this KFC, Food is always fresh and service is always quick.We mainly go through the drive thru, can never fault it.As somebody that works in fast food i understand portioning is important.We always order the Fillet box meals ,always order an extra portion of fries as the portion size is not a large in the box meal.Today we ordered an extra portion of large fries and received I'd say there about 13 chips in the bag,it's 3.65 for a large .I just think for the price of them it defintley wasn't a large.

31/10/2024: Ordered a Paneer Lababdar and the dish was so sweet that it was who mouth was full of sugary. The recipe is ideally a spicy one although taking into account the Irish customers the restaurant might have made it sweet. The level of sweetness was so much that had to throw away the food.

12/04/2025: Arguably the worst chipper I've been to in my life. Cheap ingredients, unhygienic conditions and rude staff. No salt and vinegar? Is this a joke? Just avoid the place please.

14/03/2025: We were a bit skeptical at first, but we tried this place and were very surprised! The chicken kebab was actually pretty awesome! The fries were not that awesome, but still good. We’re gonna eat here again for sure!✨

24/09/2024: We had a great stay at Grovemount House. Our room was large and spacious with incredible views of the sunset. We loved hearing the cows in the pasture in the evening. It is close to lots of attractions and the towns of Ennistimon and Lehinch for shopping and restaurants. The hosts were the nicest people we have ever met. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

08/08/2024: A disappointment. From the outside the place wouldn't be bad either, unfortunately the inside is all very old from the rooms to the bathrooms to the furnishings without even breakfast. Definitely expensive. The property is now for sale

15/02/2025: We placed the order through their website and it was super simple. We arrived in 15 minutes and they already had our order ready! The girls who attended us were very friendly. Regarding the food, we ordered the cheese burger, the chicken pita bread, a small pizza and a garlic and cheese bread and it was more than enough for two people. Everything was very very good and the price is quite affordable. I definitely recommend it and would order there again!

27/12/2024: Love the place! Delivery drivers are gents 👏 if a mistake is made with the order, which is rare, they'll sort it in no time at all.

17/04/2025: Just landed back from holidays, not many places open serving food at just before midnight … but we were just served a lot of tasty supermacs food by an employee who had a smile on his face who even broke into song briefly at one stage while cooking. He said is an absolute gentleman and yer lucky to have him as an employee. Lovely fella altogether.

08/05/2025: The hotel is grand but the food is a disaster. I paid almost €18 for a vegetarian burger which was nothing more than a microwaved patty from a frozen packet. And the cheese not even cut from a block of melted just pulled from a packed and slapped on cold. Not even a quality meat substitute but the cheapest most over priced meal I’ve ever seen. Photo attached. The fire escape plan was hanging off the bedroom door awkwardly as it had been hung off centre which just spoke to the general care of the place. The pillows well you might as well have folded your ears in half and slept on those. And the mattress was clearly made in the same factory as the pillows because you’d have thought you were lying on the floor it was so thin. I only just saw this place is supposed to be for stars. Out of 10? Who’s giving away free stars like children’s stickers. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the place was very clean and tidy but I wouldn’t stay again.

28/04/2025: Staffs attitude stinks, ordered a plain chicken burger when I got it, it had sauce in it and returned it and when I got the right burger he called me out and blamed me for not saying plain when I clearly did, no communication at all between their staff

15/04/2025: Had the 16 Inch Meat Feast Pizza Meal and it was simply divine!The curry is so nice as well here!Very highly recommended!

04/04/2025: Purchased a surprise bag from the too good to go app, got a lovely fresh cream roulade, 3 muffins and a loaf freshly sliced

19/02/2025: In: I didn’t eat there because I went there at 10pm and it was really dancing by there. This is a good place if you want to dance with your friends. Penalty: the women toilets can be hard to access. That’s all. A logical penalty when you see how many people there are. It's also sad that it closes at midnight. En: I didn't eat it so I can't rate the food. I got there at 10 p.m. and there was already a lot of dancing. also the bar closes at midnight. which is very early compared to France. It's a good bar if you want to dance with your friends but the toilets are difficult to access. Which is normal when you see the world out there.

14/02/2025: Very friendly staff and good service but food wasn’t good. Pasta al limone was inedible because it was so bitter and the tiramisu was frozen in the middle. Disappointing.

08/02/2025: recently visited Don gregorio, a fresh pasta spot in the city, with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. I ordered the spicy pasta with guanciale, and I was disappointed to find that the dish didn’t include any guanciale at all. The pasta itself was clumped together, likely because it wasn’t loosened enough with sauce, and the sauce lacked flavor. For a restaurant specializing in fresh pasta, this was a letdown. On a positive note, the **mortadella focaccia** was excellent—well-prepared and flavorful. The **coffee and cannoli** were also highlights of the meal, and I’d definitely recommend them. One frustration was missing out on the **ragu special**, which is one of my favorites. I wasn’t informed about it by the staff but overheard the waiter telling other customers. It would have been nice to have been given the same opportunity to try it. Overall, while there were some bright spots, the inconsistency in the food and service left me underwhelmed. I might give it another try in the future, but for now, I’d recommend sticking to the appetizers and desserts.
