The best restaurants

04/04/2025: Avoid this place altogether . I placed an order online from their own website using OrderYOYO. The money was taken out of my account only to then find out that the restaurant is temporarily closed, despite their website saying otherwise. All calls to the restaurant went unanswered. No refund given

14/03/2025: AVOID AVOID AVOID! Ordered online, money was taken immediately, but no food arrived. Drove into town to see that they were closed, despite their website, socials & Google Business Profile saying they're open. Tried multiple times to get in contact but have been ignored, despite them viewing my messages. Terrible service, feel like I've been scammed.

01/07/2025: Well where do l start first, on a positive note the coffee is amazing. However, the owner was always unfriendly and flippant with me, despite me being very friendly and delighted to see people as l was a nurse busy working in the ICU during Covid time. Trying to get a conversation from him was like pulling teeth. Bare in mind when all the arty fartys would arrive he was all talk. I bought atleast 2-3 coffees per day for over a year and was never told there was a loyalty system in place. So never availed of a free coffee until l seen somebody else using their loyalty card. I was gobsmacked to say the least. Unfortunately that was my experience and also my husband's, who would get on with anybody found him unwelcoming. This is the first review l have ever written in my life and its a shame it has to be a negative review. I hope this resonates with the owner as being kind to your customers goes along way

18/06/2025: A very strange impression. We came here on a positive note. Before that, we visited the Crystal Center. Great. We read positive reviews about this cafe. Indeed, it has two components, two parts. Simple souvenirs that are everywhere and a little bit of exclusivity. For example, loose coffee. A pleasant smell, but not coffee. All this could have been a plus, but then there are big "BUTs". 1. The staff, standing with their backs to the hall, and blocking the sales counter, were disassembling some kind of unit on it. It was difficult to attract their attention. 2. For some reason, they had a hard time accepting the order. To do this, we literally had to poke at the menu. 3. We were very surprised when we asked for coffee not in disposable cups. For us, cardboard and good coffee are incompatible. The drink should be in heated porcelain or, at worst, ceramics. Coffee must be ground before preparation. Brew in a Turk, cezve or ball. This is a ritual. In this case, a cheap eatery that claims five stars. 4. Soon after the order was brought, they started to demonstratively clean up around us (and this was an hour before closing). 5. There is a good pizzeria nearby. At the same time, we ordered pizza from them. But when I entered this establishment with a box, I received a sea of ​​​​reproach and indignation. Where is the warmth and goodwill. The establishment has tables and chairs. Is it a big crime if two elderly people eat their slice of pizza in addition to the cake and drinks ordered in the establishment. The car is parked right next to the establishment, with the windshield at the door. Let's say the staff did not see the blue label on the glass, but our age, our 70 years, is difficult to hide. Showing fundamental ill will towards the sick, elderly people is bad for business. In connection with all of the above, the assessment is generally negative. There are many small villages nearby, but with good, kind people. With excellent restaurants, and we left there in a good mood.

02/07/2025: Firstly...I dunno how exactly there was even..1 negative review of TFC (Luckies) Because let's be straight up...yeah it's fast food ....but..... the staff are 110% exceptionally professional, friendly, kind & all hard working!!!! So to be fair anyone with issues ...... most likely needs their head checked ✔️ tbh cos I've...Never!!!!....had an issue with them top notch quality & the food is seriously deeeelish 😝😜😍🥰 fresh, fast, top notch quality every!...Single!..Time! 💪🏼☘️💚☘️🇮🇪🙏🏼✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️👌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pleasure to deal with ever single time..thanks ladies (TFC/Luckies Team) 10 outta 10 without a shadow of a doubt

31/05/2025: Some of the service was relatively lackluster, menus were dirty, and the restrooms and restaurant weren't particularly clean. The food was good, though. Gluten-free pizza and pasta available.

18/05/2025: We ate pasta there. Everything tasted like it was pre-made sauce with lots of garlic powder. The food wasn't good. The service was very friendly and nice, but very loud, as the dishes we ordered were constantly being called into the kitchen. The restroom was simply disgusting. It wasn't cleaned, it was incredibly dirty. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

14/07/2025: We went for lunch on sat 12th July 2025. There was 4 of us. Two of us ordered the TOPSIDE BEEF. and the other 2 ordered the chicken and ham.. The chicken and ham when the chicken was lifted had a deli slice of ham..one thin piece.. The supposed to be topside beef was glorified beef slices again from a deli it was wafer thin. We use beef slices a lot so know what it's like..then on one of the chicken meal a piece of wood was found in the mouth of one of us. Brought it to the attention of waitress she tried to say it was from the stuffing a bit of herb ..no way was it. While we weren't charged for that meal it was so disappointing.as well as having to wait for nearly 30 mins. The plates were so hot they had to have come from the microwave.

12/06/2025: Food was good, but wasn't a proper chipper. The atmosphere was fairly off-putting, felt like I was in the lower level of the Backrooms.

13/07/2025: Service appalling, food was cold, saw my fish sitting under the heater for at least 6 minutes. Chips cold. All the food was dried out. Not a friendly member of staff to be seen. And no one actually looked up to see who they were serving and nothing else said except for salt and vinegar. I found my whole experience there as distasteful as the food. Will NOT be going again.

10/07/2025: The staff is nice and helpful. The food is fresh and the fries are quite large, even the smallest version. I didn't like the chicken burger that much, it was too spicy. The place is otherwise neat and clean, they pay attention to that.

13/04/2025: I brought my family for Sunday breakfeast today to mckevitts. I was very disappointed..the food was over cooked.harfd actually .the egg was hard no soft yolk.my family's fry was hard..very disappointed..I will think twice about going there again...

12/07/2025: The Resturant is filled with couple of tables. The food was not good & the taste was soo bad🥴😵‍💫🤐. There is only one person who is serving and taking orders & bill 🫩. When we are giving order 😤 he is rush to take order from other table. He has no time to explain. Finally we give order & We tried to eat food & no taste,no spicy & it’s sweet . I like to eat the desert coconut 🥥 ice cream I feel desert big portion. It’s okay not bad. This restaurant is not suitable for who was looking for tasty. I never had this kind of restaurant. In Athlone the same restaurant is so good & delicious food.In Mullingar I don’t feel same. I never ever go again & recommend this restaurant to anyone. Half start rating for desert.

20/06/2025: Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the Chicken BBQ from Silver Oak, and it was absolutely amazing! The taste was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. What made the experience even better was the excellent customer service—especially from Rajat, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. A solid 5 out of 5. Highly recommended!
