02/06/2026: Called up to order just now. I've got this food for. While now and loved it every time. A man answered and I said hi I was looking to order for collection and he said you can. No more so I waited to hear what would you like as he may have been getting a pen and paper ready in my eyes to write down what I wanted. Anyway about 10 seconds go by and he said are you there and I stuttered and said yeah and he said well you can stay or you can go like. I said I was just waiting to hear what would you like and he said yeah ok Soo and I said forget it boy and hung up. Some stinking attitude. Lost a good customer in me anyway never had a problem till today.

18/05/2026: We booked the cocktail master class and finger food package for my friends hen this past weekend. We had the most fabulous time. A lovely location, easy to get too. The bar is cool and we were upstairs in a private area. The finger food was lovely and there was plenty to go around, the portions were big. The cocktail class was ran by Sabrina and she was brilliant! She explained everything so well amd was so attentive but also gave us the space to enjoy and make our own cocktails. Laura was also brilliant to deal with for booking the event. The bride was delighted 😍 highly recommend for a hen party!

04/04/2026: Was here with friends. Was watching a friend who drunk too much and a lady approached me and told me to take some food from their party as they were done. I took some of the many food left over as no one was eating. Then suddenly was told by other friends I would not be let back in as I “robbed” from said party who lady invited me to take some food from. As someone practically sober I was very confused and upset by such belittleing from staff. Really disappointed in night as me and friends gave a considerable amount of money- very concerned as to how they treat other customers. Enjoyed every other experience at this bar. Again this at the end of the day comes down to aggressive men in front of the door when no needs be. Not one bit of harm caused .

05/07/2026: They refused to give tap water after buying a coffee and a snack. First time this happened to me ever. There’s a lot of negative reviews here and I’m not surprised. The staff makes you feel uncomfortable.

22/06/2026: This place is filthy, not to mention the bathrooms 😵‍💫🤮🤢 I went because it was the only place open at 10 pm. I wouldn't go back.

13/06/2026: Ordered a cup of tap water with my nuggets. Was really looking forward to quenching my thirst. They gave me a cup of HOT water with a three solitary ice cubes. I told them about their mistake. Instead of using the cold water tap, the enlightened staff instead topped it up with three more ice cubes, and for extra flavour they included a human hair. I emerged from the O'Connell street McDonald's a changed man.

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza with chicken curry chips out of Hot Corner Pizza and Kebabs in Waterford City for delivery. The pizza was not up to standard, as there was a lack of cheese on the pizza and the toppings were only something from the supermarket, as they should use better quality ingredients for their pizza, because you are paying the price for good food. Also the chips weren't nice either, as they were cold on the outside and extremely hot on the inside. The chicken tastes rubbery also and the curry was mediocre, tasting like Chef or McDonnell's Curry, as you would expect better tasting curry for the price you were paying for the food. Overall, the food was not great out of Hot Corner. The service was a lot worse, because I got it delivered. First off, the delivery was late, which is not on. This shows that this restaurant is not punctual. Also I did not get an apology for the late delivery, as it is common courtesy to do so. When I collected my food from the delivery driver, he seemed a bit rude, as he did not look like he wanted to be delivering food, but still. It costs nothing to be nice. As I have not been to the restaurant itself, I am giving the atmosphere 0 starts. Hot Corner, cop yourselves on and manage your restaurant better or else you will just lose customers. Thanks.

14/10/2025: "WOW"...finally, I found a fast food place that reminds me of home, Liverpool City. I ordered the large pizza (Margherita) large donner kebab (fresh salad, tender tasty lamb meat) and chips (proper fat, chunky real potato chips), DEELISH food., and delivered for 3euro.. "The Hot Corner" Barrack St, I will not go nowhere else now... Nice one lads ... 5 Star fast food and very reasonable priced,.....15euro pizza, large donner n chips...STILL in 2025 the best

24/10/2025: I ate there twice, the first time I didn't like it, the second time I liked it, I don't recommend the wrap, it's expensive, a small wrap costs 7€ and it's not tasty, I recommend getting the wings, they're tastier, 10 wings for 12€

13/06/2025: Let's be honest, Domino's is very much a last resort when ordering a Pizza in Ireland. I've reluctantly ordered Domino's a few times in various outlets across Ireland over many years, and somehow it seems to get worse. Last nights order was more of the same and the quality of ingredients just isn't there. It leaves you feeling ripped off!

07/06/2026: Food was excellent- went to visit after a year and honestly the food was better than ever. Got the chicken shashlik and the chicken was so delicious! The naan was excellent as always and overall the currys were really good. I visited with my daughter and the stay was so kind towards her which makes all the difference when eating out with a toddler. Can’t wait to be back soon!

27/05/2026: The food is excellent, particularly the pizza. However, I have a major issue with their billing practices regarding drinks. They are charging customers the €0.15 deposit fee for cans and bottles, but they are using stock that does not feature the official Recycle/Refund logo. Because of this, the deposit money can't be reclaimed and goes straight into their own pockets. Be vigilant, check your drinks, and call them out on this practice.

22/05/2026: Worst takeaway in a long time. Food quality was extremely poor. Used cheap bag of chips which resulted in highly soggy, oiley and greasy chips that didn't hold the heat. Food thrown together, no standard of food presentation, sloopily prepared and served. Do not recommend. Save your money for somewhere else.

09/05/2026: Today we ordered roast duck, and it was so salty it was inedible. The duck meat was tough and rubbery, and not fresh at all. If the chef doesn't know how to cook it properly, they shouldn't be making it. I will not order from here again and do not recommend it.
