The best restaurants

26/11/2024: Lovely to deal with , but holy jasus the food is disgusting, got a battered sausage and the thing was cremated was giving to the black bin , gotten it 3 or 4 time and won't be coming back 🤢🤢 burgers have stale buns dryer then the Sahara dessert . Over all bad grub .

13/06/2025: This is the best Chinese. Bao bao chicken is amazing. I love amber fire chicken too. Their food is really tasty in general

01/03/2025: My poor grandad sat with me while I drove 25 minutes each way to get this food, as we remembered it being fantastic. Tipped the staff as we paid, walking out happy with food that smelled good enough to eat-unfortunately it absolutely wasn’t edible!!! We ordered x2 phad Thais which were sweet and sour, not phad thai. Bbq ribs, which tasted like they were soaked in salty water and the sauce was thick salt water. The chow mein was salty and the noodles were mushy in the mouth, everything was salty, inedible salty. Grandad got special fried rice, which is still on the table the poor man could not ingest that absolute monstrosity. Chips were like they were reheated. The only edible thing was the chicken balls, lucky for the kids! I have a house full of people who cannot eat their dinner. 70 odd quid to sit around a table with a huge amount of food waste ?? Am glad for my brown bin!! Do not eat here. I don’t know if it’s the ridiculous amount of MSG making it salty or soneone dropped the container, but as someone who has worked in a Chinese herself I don’t know how you could send that out.

03/07/2025: Fast food wise Michelin star for me, why ?because it’s consistency about service and super tasty don't change since I’m getting my food not sure review I read about girl on phone I’m getting my food last two years never noticed anything wrong about service the minute you walk in the minute she is not dealing with other customers you looked after

22/05/2025: John, and the rest are super nice staff but a woman of age red hair literally served a man next to me a minute before asking what I wanted and then said they’re not serving anymore after taking my order just after serving other men? Why ask what I wanted and say you’re not servicing 30 second later joke of a woman.

20/11/2024: This is the only time I got bad food out of here and they didn’t try reimburse me for the food they said didn’t food and I couldn’t get the food I wanted I could’ve got food poisoning but they didn’t care

17/07/2025: I wouldn't be going back here. The order for 3 was completely wrong and flung together in a bag. Tables were left uncleared. Not a nice experience.

08/06/2025: I Was visiting Kildare town yesterday evening and came across this Chipper. I Got a cheese and a Regular Burger and chips.It was just fabulous the chips were to die for.I will definitely call in again the next time in town ..

27/05/2025: Going here for years but alas tonight was my very last time to go in there. I ate healthy for six weeks and tonight bought onion rings, chips and a battered sausage. The amount of salt was dreadful and the taste of grease/fat was dreadful. I put the whole lot in the bin straight away. To buy a healthy indian takeaway is the best option.

12/06/2025: One of the most overpriced and miserable lunches that I’ve had in recent times. For myself and my kids we were charged almost €40 for this experience. I would have complained only one of my kids was being difficult and I had to get away. My lunch was €14 and in the image below you can see it. Every other food outlet was busy apart from this one which is telling. I have had a burrito here before and it was excellent yet what is being offered mere months later is pretty miserable.

11/05/2025: As regular customers to Newbridge silverware restaurant..today was disappointing to say the least. My wife had tea and a raspberry scone which she said was lovely but as she was eating the scone she felt something in her mouth which happened to be a 1cm of hard plastic that was in the scone and my wife had it in her mouth. To our shock we went back to the counter where one girl at the till was shocked ..and then another girl came who I presume was the Supervisor..apologised and asked my wife if she wanted another scone..In my opinion those scones where contaminated and should have been removed immediately but they were left for other customers. No offer or an alter product ...no fresh tea but the ultimate insult was when she came down to the table and left 4 euro ..the price of the scone on the table. We were not looking for anything but just the situation was handled so poorly ..will not be visiting again which is a shame because we liked this restaurant

05/05/2025: It's a shame the food is so mediocre as the setting is quite lovely. I had the worst sandwich today. Rock hard crust that I nearly chipped a tooth on. Thick clumps of tomato, one measly sliver of ham, rocket that was absolutely scorched and chips that were over cooked and tasteless. Disappointing for the price point. The menu was quite bland overall. I think it would be better for coffee and cake than a lunch.

04/07/2025: Nothing special,not so many fries.For my taste oversalty. Vegetables cold and in traces (few) but chicken wings that is another level of "fresh". I order once and delete app.

07/06/2025: Love this place. Have ordered from all around the area and this is by far my favourite. Spice bag is nice and spicy instead of being too sweet. Aromatic duck is the best I’ve had, with no fat!!! And the curry sauce is to die for..

04/07/2025: Lo peor que he probado en mi vida fueron unas patatas fritas grises que parecían palitos de pan, un personal horrible, un tipo que trabajaba con las manos peludas y sin guantes. No se lo daría a los cuervos 🤮🤮🤮🤮

23/06/2025: Acabo de pedir un Kabab y Fanta naranja para la entrega en mi hotel recibí una llamada para decir entrega fuera del hotel cuando recojo mi entrega y regresé a mi habitación no había Fanta naranja y Kabab estaba frío Además tengo dos tenedores y ningún cuchillo No voy a volver a usar este lugar

28/06/2025: Cons: The noise from the road is terrible and you can hear everything from the stairs, other rooms, even when someone is in the loo... the bed isn't comfortable either. Pros: The breakfast was nice and the place is child-friendly.

07/07/2025: This is not a 4 star hotel. We stayed here for two nights - the first night our bed was not even made (you may think this is not true) the duvet cover was not on the duvet. I was told the next morning, I as lying about, however I have photos. The receptionist was less then friendly when I approached him about it and he made out I was not telling the truth. This is not a 4 star hotel - do not waste your money

02/07/2025: We celebrated a 40th birthday, 6 girls and we couldnt have been happier with our stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the hotel Manager was wonderful and would highly recommend. We'll be back!!!
