The best restaurants

05/12/2024: Professors were unprofessional and unqualified. Most of them did not provide any marks throughout the semester, I would think I’ve handed everything in and haven’t heard anything so I must be doing okay but then get a terrible grade at the end of the semester. They assigned completely pointless, time consuming assignments that were a waste of time. It seemed like they were just making the grades up based on what they thought of students. Gerald O’Farrell was the most arrogant and worst teacher I’ve had and should not be employed in education. I studied here for a year as an international student in 2022. It was over crowded to say the least. Parking is a disaster and living close enough to not need it is very difficult as they don’t have actual residences for students. The gym was the worst gym I’ve seen in an institution of this size, it reminded me of a high school weight room expect they charge students to use the gym on top of tuition. As an international student many of the professors would discriminate and make jokes about us attending and not share the necessary information for us to properly complete assignments while they ensured the local students had what they needed. These points were brought up with the department heads, Tony Mahon and others at the time, by me and other international students but they literally laughed at us and said that “they aren’t going to change the Irish education system for us” and to “get on with it” Choose another place to study.

29/09/2024: Firstly I would like to say What a wonderful place to stay The host Freda is absolutely a lady Took care of us so well We travelled from Clare for a 2 day fishing competition and she treated us like we were her own Kind Generous Mindful for what we were doing Excellent food Excellent accommodation And she made it her business to make sure we were catered for.! (Not many places do!) Freda Thank you May God bless you And please God we will see you next year

29/09/2024: Wow what a breath of fresh air to stay somewhere so clean and beautiful. The rooms were better than most hotels and the breakfast was superb . The host was also extremely nice . We just had a lovely stay and would be delighted to return . 100% recommend .

06/05/2025: It's a pretty good place, just small so if it gets busy which due to its location it does can be a bit much for some people, was showing the football and also had live music so yeah there's a bit of everything.

29/04/2025: Dear Four Star Pizza Phibsboro / Just Eat, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint and demand a full refund for an order I placed on 28/04/2025 via Just Eat, which was never delivered, despite being paid for in advance. Here are the details of what occurred: Communication Issues: My phone was not operational at the time of delivery, preventing me from receiving or making calls. However, I spent over 30 minutes outside, walking up and down, checking my window, and constantly reviewing the app, but there was no sign of the delivery. Confusion with the Delivery Driver: A white car arrived and stopped near my building, but it had no visible branding or indication that it was from Four Star Pizza. The driver remained inside the car, showing no intent to deliver or communicate. There was no attempt to contact me through other means, such as ringing my doorbell or emailing me. It was impossible to identify the car as the delivery vehicle. Order Status in the App: When I checked the Just Eat app, it showed that the order had been marked as delivered, which was clearly false. After failing to reach the restaurant due to my phone issues, I had to enlist help from a family member to contact Four Star Pizza Phibsboro. I eventually spoke with the manager of the restaurant. Unacceptable Customer Service: The treatment I received from the manager was completely unacceptable. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, I was met with rudeness and aggression. I was yelled at, told my complaints would not be heard, and that I would not be refunded. Furthermore, I was told that if I wanted the same meal (already cold after waiting over an hour), I would have to pay an additional 3 euros for re-delivery. This behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I did not receive my order, and the customer service I encountered was appalling. Given that I did not receive my order and the service was entirely subpar, I am requesting a full refund of the amount I paid. This is the least that should be done after such a poor experience. I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter.

26/12/2024: Good experience of vegan pizza with fries, prepared soon and were delicious.

21/01/2025: I enjoyed lunch at Maggie Choo's and had a great experience. The setting is very modern with a cosy feel. The menu features a nice array of dishes. I tried the veggie burger and two cocktails, both delicious. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall, Maggie Choo's is a memorable place for lunch or special occasions. I look forward to going back!

03/11/2024: Appalling wait at bar for service…having stood for 15 minutes to get served…bar staff served someone else ahead of me??! Ordered margarita… no salt… no alcohol.. worst margarita I’ve had…

29/03/2025: I had a really disappointing experience at this cafe. I ordered a cappuccino and sat down with a friend, and we started eating sandwiches we had brought with us. After a few minutes, a barista with long brown hair marched over and very rudely said, “No no no! You cannot eat your own food in here!” There were no signs stating this rule, and the way she spoke to us was completely unnecessary. We immediately apologised and put the food away, but the attitude was so off-putting that we left. I completely understand that cafes don’t want people eating outside food, but there’s a way to communicate this politely. A simple, “Just so you know, we don’t allow outside food” would have been enough. Instead, we were spoken to like misbehaving children and humiliated in front of everyone there. On top of that, the atmosphere felt more like a community centre than a proper cafe, and everything was served in takeaway cups—even for people dining in. Overall, a really unwelcoming experience, and I won’t be returning.

20/03/2025: Well kept mountain bike trails and gardens, excellent for beginners. Nice view of Dublin bay from the view point and access to the little sugar loaf. €3 parking fee to exit which is used towards the upkeep of the place.

07/04/2025: Recently had a function here and couldn’t be more complimentary of the service provided, bar staff were firing on all cylinders and working hard to make sure everyone was having a good experience(even the owners got stuck in and helped when was getting busy)Food was great, pints where great..highly recommend if your looking for a few pints, but of food or a function in one of their areas. Cheers team

06/04/2025: Pedí bebidas y comida para la familia de 3 y me senté allí durante 25 minutos ni siquiera un vaso de agua dado cuando se le preguntó cuál es el retraso en la entrega de la comida sin bebidas , los entrantes y la red se mezclaron. El salón estaba vacío, la comida entera se fue cuesta abajo incluso después de que esto no regresara. El tiempo en familia es un odio precioso. No tenemos un buen pub local limpio en el ongar.

26/04/2025: Burger was dry and I think it wasn't freshly cooked.Seats were dirty as was the floor. Possibly,no definitely the worst Supermacs I have ever been in.

15/09/2024: Burger was exceptional. Chips were unfortunately a bit soggy. Burger good enough to earn 5 stars despite the chips.

13/09/2024: Got the double cheese burger, both pattys were overcooked and tough to chew. The chunky chips were awful and the "homeslaw" coleslaw was disgusting and a little tiny bowl of it was €6 which is simply just thievery. Would recommend everyone to avoid this place completley, just not up to standard at all. If you want a burger go around the corner to Five Guys, even McDonald's would be better .

19/04/2025: Another great insomnia shop. The team on duty were all great this afternoon. Some insomnia shops don't have any parking. This shop has plenty of parking and it's free. They also have ice in the water jug for the customers. Great job!

04/04/2025: It’s extremely calming for me tbh it’s small and it gives off one of those teen romance movie vibes where you can just sit and enjoy yourself Problem I have is the order isn’t similar at all to the pictures but that’s the only complaint about the drinks (the Food is fine) Services is well dependant on who but sometimes the woman at the front seems like she’s sick of customers coming and would rather spend her time chatting while I don’t mind that It’s kinda scary seeing the facial change from smiling to “Oh you.” But that’s just me Would totally recommend

15/02/2025: They cant even deliver on time. its been close to an hour of when it should have arrived but still nothing. When the pizza arrived, there were basically none of the toppings that I ordered and the pizza wasn't even cut. I had to call them multiple times to get through to them and they weren't even helpful on the phone. I've had bad experiences with these people but this takes the cake. 0/10 service and won't be spending money there again

05/04/2025: I ordered a delivery from this place and after nearly an hour I had to cancel as it was not delivered. Avoid

27/04/2025: I had a lovely dinner here, food was delicious, big portions, decent price, nice ambiance, super nice staff. Very much recommended, must try in Mullingar.❤️❤️❤️
