The best restaurants

02/03/2026: This place was recommended to us as “the best fish and chips in Dublin,” but the experience was very disappointing. The fish had a strong oily taste, and the batter was overly thick, resulting in a heavy, heavy texture. The chips were undercooked: soggy on the outside, firm in the center, with an unpleasant potato flavor, likely due to insufficient cooking. The fish was shown to me before preparation and had clearly come from the freezer. This isn't necessarily a problem in itself, but it contradicts the image of “fresh” product one might expect from an establishment touted as a benchmark. For €20, the value for money is clearly lacking. It's still decent fast food, but certainly not up to the advertised standard. In my opinion, there are much better options in Dublin.

02/03/2026: Absolutely delicious and very welcoming! We ate very well and the portions were generous; we even got a souvenir t-shirt.

13/02/2026: Waiting over an hour and 15 minutes at this time, not , paying top price, trying to cancel order and go to bed at this stage

07/02/2026: Such a shame that a place that serves both a variety of east Asian dishes and bubble tea (the only one in our neighborhood so far) may be so unsatisfying We had some issues with the tea in the past, related both to the product itself and to the payment method I had rice a couple of times and it was consistently bland The last time in particular the meat in the rice was almost completely lacking taste. It also didn't feel properly cooked

29/08/2025: Standards have dropped dramatically. Was a regular visitor to this hotel and would visit 2-3 times a year and brought family and friend regularly. My last two stays I have to say were terrible. We went as 2 adults and 2 children. First time people smoking in the rooms with the doors open I reported it and nothing happened the same the next night and was told its probably coming in from the balcony. People shouting and banging all hours of the morning and again nothing done. The quality of breakfast is probably a 3 at best where it was always 9-10 and then I was charged an extra €2 for a cappuccino at breakfast (never seen that before ANYWHERE). spoke to the waitress and was told there's a new chef and it's just been brought in.Got in touch with the hotel afterwards to complain and got 3 different people to email. Eventually the manager got in touch much with me and apologised and offered me a deal to return and to just contact him that he wants to prove it was a once off.. When I did eventually contact him for a return for 2 adults 2 children and returned it started on check in. First room we were giving was one double bed 1 single bed ,I went back to reception and giving another room and again it was 1 double one single. I went again to reception to ask was this a joke. The girl gave me keys to another room and told me to check the room first to see if it was okay. The room was downstairs and didn't feel like part of the hotel. There was plenty of beds but the double bed mattress was wafer thin and very uncomfortable. I rang reception and the other lady came and brought me to another room 512 and asked was it okay. It looked good and had the double and 2 single beds as required. The lady apologised and was very helpful. When my son sat on his bed he nearly fell off it as the base was broken, again I called reception and the lady came back and seen the bed and again apologised and went and got a base off another bed. We just accepted it as we Had Been through 4 rooms already at this stage. First morning breakfast was okay and fresh but the next morning we were waiting on bits to come out from the kitchen then got burnt breakfast and was served our milk in a teacup with not even an apology. I reported all this to the manager by email when we got home and his response was. ,thank you for your feedback.. So if that's the general managers response it says it all. Cannot see myself returning here anytime soon and can not recommend this hotel to family or friends.... Just seen this hotel is now up for sale so that explains why the management couldn't care less....

15/07/2025: The D Hotel is closed to tourists until 2027. It is being used as a Refugee Reception Centre until then.

25/04/2025: This kebab was class, cheapest nicotine and food around, sabbir was very helpful and kind. The toilets are clean and smooth.

22/08/2025: Absolutely georgous get delivery from here a bit and I can't fault service or food, and girl that delivers the food is so pleasant and greeting

07/07/2025: Burnt chips, burnt chicken balls. All ended up in the bin. Waste of money. They burn the food everytime i go, tonight was the last straw, shame because i used to love the place but unless you like your food incinerated then I'd avoid. Brutal

20/11/2025: Wouldn't deliver food at 9pm on friday night.

07/11/2025: Tried to order for delivery at 9:45pm on a Friday night & was told that even though they do delivery to 10pm normally, the driver who works for them apparently told them he wasn't doing any more deliveries tonight. Absolutely ridiculous!

12/10/2025: Had a beautiful dinner here really tasty food staff were super friendly the restaurant was a little cold but that’s all highly recommend

30/09/2025: I have never had burnt naan bread and yellow daal makhni in my life. Attaching photos.Chef will have the decency atleast to cook the naan again , if it was burnt. Worst Indian food experience in Dublin. I think the restaurant is not even Indian. Its just named indian

25/11/2025: The reviews are all correct. The owner/manager lady snaps at you. Makes no effort to make her voice pleasant. The cashier young woman was very nice. But we got the quick coffee and breakfast we were looking for and a stool to sit on, very convenient and fast easy breakfast. Many people coming in and out for a coffe.

04/01/2026: No interest from staff ,food microwaved basically , no flame grill flavor at all , takes an age and is lukewarm the guy who is the day manager is really ignorant

22/12/2025: We went in at 10pm after watching a movie. We ordered thru the kiosk for dine in. When our food was ready, we were told we cannot eat inside as shop closes at 10pm! But before we even decided to go and eat there, we made sure to see what time they close and it says 11pm! And the staff said only their drive thru is open until 11! Then why the heck did they allow us to order in the first place! So we had no choice but to sit outside in the COLD to eat our meal!!!
