12/11/2025: I used to order from here every week ,lovely staff but since last week 5/11/25 when I ordered the price of the food has gone through the roof ,way too expensive now so I go elsewhere. Greed will get you nowhere, you lost a loyal customer 11.50 for a spicebag shocking

28/10/2025: Very disappointing. I’ve been going here over ten years and received a counterfeit note in change from them yesterday. Attendant was very rude and threw it in my brothers face even though we were very calm. Be aware and check your notes!

06/09/2025: Had a family breakfast at this place with 4 adults and one kid. Lovely place for family gatherings.

24/08/2025: Always good tasty food at Kays Kitchen no matter where you find one. Blackrock's one has great views from its upstairs location in the mall. Plenty of room, tables and seating. No real wait time for food. Give it a go if you haven't already.

30/11/2025: We ordered a macha latte and a white hot chocolate, both of which were truly delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and super relaxing. Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: stopped here with 2 adults and 5 kids to buy them treats after a walk kids where very well behaved for 5 small kids never once left there seats to be told by staff to keep control of them and when we brought attention to the owner we where told the kids where kicking a ball around which was 100% false very upsetting experience

13/11/2025: Arrived at the University after a long journey from Belfast with a group of passengers in the course of my employment as a bus driver, and found the staff at reception to be quite possibly the most helpful and cordial folks I've ever encountered. Having asked them with some reservations if they could charge my phone - given it's not a request that too often results in a positive outcome in Belfast, respectively - I was somewhat surprised, yet, delighted to find that they were more than happy to afford me the use of their mains plug and charger at the desk. Whilst even offering me to take a loan of it. Nonetheless, I charged my phone at reception which enabled me to go on my merry way with a fully charged phone to safely guide me, back to rain swept Belfast - compliments of Google Map. God bless ya'll.

30/09/2025: My experience in this course, particularly in Year 3, was deeply disappointing and discouraging. I entered the programme motivated and prepared to work hard, but the lack of structure, poor communication, and minimal lecturer support made it extremely difficult to succeed, no matter how much effort I put in. Throughout the academic year, it became increasingly clear that students were not being adequately supported or guided, especially in modules that required strong practical or lab components. In several lab sessions, I often found myself left without proper instruction or feedback, which made it nearly impossible to improve or understand what was being assessed. When I reached out for help, responses were often vague, delayed, or dismissive. Communication was a major issue. Classes were frequently cancelled at short notice—sometimes after students had already arrived on campus—and announcements were often posted late or inconsistently across Blackboard and email. Important details about assignments, lab reports, and project requirements were either not shared clearly or only discussed informally, leading to confusion and unnecessary stress. One of the most frustrating parts was the final year 3 project. The expectations were never made clear at the start of the semester. There were no thorough briefings on how the project would be assessed, and guidance from supervisors was inconsistent. I had to constantly ask questions just to get basic direction. In the end, the lack of communication and structure significantly impacted my results despite the hours I invested in the lab and library. Another recurring issue was the assessment transparency. Students did not receive detailed breakdowns of marks, especially for lab reports or practical components, making it impossible to identify where marks were lost or how to improve. Overall, while I recognise that every course has challenges, the experience I had in SETU Carlow’s Pharmaceutics and Drug Formulation programme felt chaotic, unstructured, and unsupportive. It often seemed like lecturers were more focused on completing the semester than ensuring students actually understood the material or developed confidence in their work. This experience has made me question how student welfare and fair assessment are managed. I believe significant improvements in lecturer communication, feedback systems, and academic support are needed for future students to have a fairer experience. Despite doing my best—staying late on campus, studying from past papers, and attending labs consistently—my efforts did not translate into fair outcomes because the structure simply wasn’t there. I hope sharing this helps highlight areas that need change for future cohorts.

16/08/2025: Took an hour and a half to get food, pints were flat, order was wrong, would not recommend or go again.

10/08/2025: First time ever staying on a mobile site. Best break I've had in years. The food has been absolutely amazing.. presentation fab .. delicious ..so nice and everyone lovely. Can't wait to be back here soon. Edel has really looked after us for our stay here so special! Tara

10/11/2025: Cold food, unfriendly service, music too loud. One person working behind the back. Torn seat covers, cold inside. Had to go back to get chips as they were cold like the atmosphere. Whoever is the manager is either not taking notice or doesn't want to take notice.Basically a kip. I've been to hundreds of McDonald's worldwide and this is the worst I have come across. Needs a total rehaul.

18/10/2025: Molly was the best server I have seen in any working restraunt she was so good and very helpful cleaned our table and the baby high chair when most places wouldn't. She came to check was everything okay with us and put a smile on our daughters face. I booked a table for 2 and our daughter sat at the back qnd the expirence and service from molly was the best I've seen in a very long time Molly we thank you so much for giving us a great meal and making sure everything was okay

20/06/2025: The young waitress is a gem. An asset to the restaurant. Polite, friendly and very efficient.

25/10/2025: 50-60minutes waiting time to deliver 5min drive away and then still forgot some of the delivery and took another 30 odd minutes to deliver!

03/08/2025: Ordered bacon and I got a reconstituted substitute fake bacon texture was awfull

07/07/2025: Used to love Regent but it has gone down in my opinion. We loved the curry triangles but they have hardly any filling anymore. Had a beef chow mein which was way too tough and was full of onion. Disappointing 😞

21/09/2025: Soooo this place doesn’t actually exist on this location. Don’t know who’s posting but as of Saturday night 9/29 this doesn’t exist /9 don’t fall for it especially if you’re drunk and hungry!!!

10/08/2025: The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had in Ireland. Stomach turning greasy and undercooked. Had to throw the bag out on the way home. Also charged extra for simple condiments. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

17/11/2025: I never write reviews but in this case I had to. I ordered a kebab and chillie fries at night, the next morning woke up with FOOD POISONING. I literally spent 20€ to get food poisoning, it’s the worst thing ever. They are never busy so I’m guessing they reuse old food and they aren’t hygienic at all

17/11/2025: It was late and he probably thought I was drunk, the temple street branch. I clearly asked for all the salads, and before even asking which sauce I wanted, he had already handed me the sandwich—already prepared. I’m not sure what is it like during the day, but I will never ever ever go there again. The chicken shawarma tasted horrible and my stomach was upset for a few hours afterward. Only go if you’re too drunk to care, a tough stomach, and are just looking for a cheap option.

12/09/2025: Initially this used to my favourite restaurant , past few months the taste is not at all good, all the recipes are just like that in taste, it’s not cooked good. Really upsetting. Even you can see that head of the onion in the food. Never saw anyone including this part of onion in food!

14/11/2025: Never had anything cold out of here as others have said , but the wait can be really bad sometimes . But for the life of me I have only ever got dips if ordered about 10% of the time . It's infuriating when you ask for the at the box , ask again at the window and then drive off to find they're not there ! Either don't offer them or put them in the order .......😂
