The best restaurants

24/07/2025: Nice for a hostel, terrible for a hotel. I booked it because I’d stayed at the Generator in Washington DC and had a great experience (in a hotel room, not the hostel part). This room has all the class of a Motel 6, and we paid crazy money for it. My husband actually considered eating the money and looking for a different hotel, but we’ll tough it out because we’re only here for one night. Look at this bathroom. This is what €175 gets you. Edit: this hotel LOCKS YOU OUT OF YOUR ROOM at checkout time. Stars adjusted, my god!

24/07/2025: Great hostel, nice facilities and great location. Only reason I’m not leaving a 5 star is the for the treatment by bar manager. The Argentinian bar manager shut down the Kareoke because I said to him he can’t run the bar and kareoke at the same time (the were understaffed). When the bartender came back he refused to run the kareoke as planned because he got butthurt by my feedback. Sorry his pride was hurt but he’s not a child he’s working there. Also his colleagues complained about him too so watch out for him!

19/04/2025: Never again. This place should be shut down. Spent nearly €60 and the food was a disgrace. It was cold and they gave us tiny portions. When we rang to complain about it we were laughed at. Very ignorant to deal with. Never go to Man fu house

17/07/2025: I wouldn't be going back here. The order for 3 was completely wrong and flung together in a bag. Tables were left uncleared. Not a nice experience.

15/07/2025: Not good at all .slow unfriendly and the taco fries were greasy and the burger was tasteless

05/08/2025: Very disappointed with food. I ordered cod and chips meal and chips were swimming in the greace. Not eatable at all previously I ordered gourmet chicken burger which had so much sauce that burger was falling apart and the only way to eat it was with the spoon. So I think is waist of money.

27/07/2025: Used to be good, must be different people in there. Last few orders were nasty. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Last order took a while to be confirmed but was just cancelled online. Not going back there so.

01/08/2025: I ordered a delivery from a New Top Tops and my address is a good 20 minute drive with minimum traffic. My food arrived quick, burning hot to the point where you had to let it sit for a minute and when i did finally dig in it was worth it. Would definitely order again, ive rarely seen a delivery food service that delivered piping hot goods. Well done

26/03/2025: Took Singapore noodles, it was good and spicy. The chips was crispy and my order was delivered so fast.

11/08/2025: The pizza was really good and so was the fries and wedges. We would definitely come back!

09/08/2025: A lovely cafe at Rathfarnham Castle. We sat at a table overlooking the beautiful grounds. The display of food looked so fresh and appetising and we enjoyed our choice immensely. Thank you to a charming young lady, (who seemed to be new and training) that looked after us very efficiently. Such a hidden gem. Will definitely return

02/08/2025: I decided to do something different so I visited Rathfarham castle and Brambles Cafe on the 31st of July 2025 just to add morning , the 1st thing I came across was the que , the 2nd thing I noticed very quickly there was two staff members doing everything, taking orders, making orders cleaning tables and constantly apologising to customers over the wait times for food , I watched for awhile and nobody else ( staff wise ) was around , no to me thats bad management, not the two employees that where ran off there feet doing what they could do with only two sets off hands , cleaning, clearing tables, taken orders and getting the orders to tables, it's impossible, so I am not surprised with the bad reviews, I won't becoming back as to as I watched the staff handled the situation very well and there was customers leaving over wait times for food and customers asking for tables to be cleaned, Brambles and management need to look into getting extra staff and I wouldn't be surprised if the staff even stay as working conditions wouldn't be put up with any other company

28/06/2025: Food was very poor got a quarter pounder and chip both of the frozen variety. Very poor for the price.

10/08/2025: Waited over hour and half for delivery finally got it order was wrong and they forgot stuff rang up he sent driver back up still didn't receive my full order try to ring again and they had blocked my phone number since new owners took it over its gone to the dogs and the girl who answers the phone she may go back to school ill never order again from them or step foot in it

03/08/2025: The food in roma is very tasty and nice but the price has gotten ridiculous over the past few years,before the 2024 fleadh Cheoil the price of a kebab was 7 euro,then they put it to 8 and now for the 2025 fleadh they shot it up to 9,this is simply outrageous,the sheer greed of the place has put me of from ordering there anymore.

31/08/2025: The restaurant was busy, the server wasn't a bit friendly, obviously didn't need a tip,we even had to ask again for our drinks, we both ordered different eggs benedicts, neither were great, I evhad a bad taste in my mouth for a while afterwards. When i went to pay the man who was at the till walked away and left me standing for a few minutes. There was one young girl who was working hard, cleaning tables and running around, and being friendly, apart from her everyone else could go on a course for customer service. Hopefully she will go far.

22/08/2025: Amazing experience! The food was delicious and full of flavor, and the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant

12/08/2025: Ill caveat this all with i am not sure of the price point in the area. Got fried rice and chicken curry. 18 euros of there abouts. Served quickly, staff where friendly, this is where the positive experience ends. Chicken was awful, dry, tasteless and like it was added to a curry sauce made from granules, but still too watery. Rice wasn't great, stodgy, over cooked. Onions on the other hand were good, but I didn't order an onion curry. It's a tourist spot, so maybe they dont rely on repeat trade. Honestly, I'd avoid. Its not good, but not terrible - but that is a low bar.

22/06/2025: DELIVERY DRIVER HAD NO PITY FOR A CHILD they took 10 euros and lied that it was their when i gave it by accident. It was a fat short woman with a man bearded. The chicken was cold and somehow i had to pay 16€ for swwet and sour chicken and a coke that i DID NOT RECIEVE.My step dad called them and they ignored his requests (canceled without explanation) and the lady at the phone put the phone down, in half an hour my mother called them up again and said this “Hello my fiance called and you hung up on him-“ and then they hung the phone down with no explanation. Then i had to call them on my phone, so i did, as polite i could trying my best to not get hung up on,They were very grumpy but thankfully didnt hang up, They replied very short and cold toned service is absolute shit show.

21/06/2025: Very rude, called to make an order with home delivery, acted as cant hear what Im saying, then just droped call. A minute later my fiance tried order, a soon hear first 2 words of my order phone was dropped again
