The best restaurants

01/08/2026: Extremely disappointed with my experience here. I ordered the lentil soup and waited a long time for it, only to be told it was “freshly made” , which clearly wasn’t true, since it arrived stone cold. I asked for it to be reheated, and after eating it, I ended up with diarrhoea. Given the wait, the dishonesty about it being fresh, and getting sick afterward, I won’t be coming back. Very poor food handling and service.

28/07/2026: Friendly staff and good coffee/food, I always try and pop by when getting the green bus from Burgh Quay.

14/07/2026: It’s a disgrace to be honest that Sarah kennedy took over the campus’ little coffee shack as it’s never open now unless students are there. Closed all summer now too! Plenty of people walk here all year round and used to grab a coffee there. Me and my friend used to always walk and grab from cloud picker! Just such a shame!

09/08/2026: I always pass in front of this starbucks and never went in, today I decided to go in and I had a bad experience, the girl with blond hair and glasses who served me, made my Protein Matcha wrong and tried to fixed in my front and unfortunately fail, I also work with hospitality in this kind of stuff so I know when is it made good or not. I paid for a really bad matcha because she didn’t want to make another one :(

07/08/2026: We ate here this evening and are struggling to keep it down. Worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. We both feel very sick. 2 stars for service as it arrived quickly and 3 stars for atmosphere as the bar was nice.

25/05/2026: Food is good (when it can be got), however getting delivery is difficult, last few times they ether say its too busy to deliver or drivers car is broken down etc etc.

07/08/2026: This bag of slop,with the black hair included,will set you back 14 euro and 85 cents of your hard earned cash these days. I phoned to complain about the dirty hair but they didn’t seem too bothered. Even without someone’s hair in the food,it’s not worth your money. 6 maybe 7 pieces of meat for that price,ridiculous. It was handed back The latest photos are what the young lad got. 9euro this horrible chipper charged him for this. This is apparently considered 2 bags of chips and cost 9 euro. I don’t know if this chipper is under new management or new owners but it’s a shadow of its former self. Disgraceful and still nothing was done in relation to a previous order where they delivered a bag of slop with a big long black hair

09/07/2026: The woman staff in the cashier seems like has no ability to smile, talk when taking your order or anything related to customer service behavior, maybe change the person in the cashier to a more friendly one! Or put the automated machine that I can order by myself without seeing that wall face. Also the toilet is very smelly!

29/06/2026: When I asked for the toilet code, the barista gave me the code. Yet, there was a sign on the door saying toilet closed. The only reason I bothered to buy a coffee was to access the toilet. This is unacceptable.

08/08/2026: Very tasty, but unfortunately it was quite dry. It would be much better with some mayonnaise or another sauce.

22/07/2026: I only got a cup of Tea to take away and a vegan scone. It cost €7;10. Thats a crazy price. Tea normally retails for about €3.50 to €3.80 in most places which would make the little Vegan scone about €3.60. I am aware everything is costly but that is ridiculous. Nice friendly, chatty staff, Clean establishment with a wide variety of food and cakes

18/05/2026: The hotel is clean, and on this occasion, quiet. The curtains do not exclude light sufficiently. We had to change rooms as there was a plumbing problem in our first room--the hot water tap in the tub would not turn off and whistled, loudly, and the cold water tap did not work at all. There were problems with the door to the room one and the door to the bathroom in the other: They dragged on the floor, which for the bathroom made it very difficult to close the door. The food for breakfast was mediocre. Fresh fruit was good, but scrambled eggs were not. The coffee was not good and we needed to go to a nearby coffee house to have a decent coffee.

16/09/2026: Placed an order today using the app. When I entered my address it was accepted by the app. I paid for the order and got confirmation by email and the app that it was accepted. However I then received a phone call to say that they don't deliver to my area. I asked about a refund and was told it will take 2 to 3 days. This is appalling service the app should refuse the order if it is not in their delivery area.

12/09/2026: A++ Taste the OG of spice bags… was a little worried reading all the bad reviews about. Maybe it’s gone downhill. I assure you it’s still the best in the city the right amount of spice and flavor and seasoning. I recommend spice bag extra chicken curry sauce. That is the way to go? I’ve tried five others in the city and this was by far still the best go won’t be disappointed.

28/07/2026: Best Spice Bag in Laois 👍 Pizzas are unreal! Katie and Roman are lovely too! Cena is class! Don't mind the kids below posting bad reviews...just because they're not allowed actually the amgoot in the restaurant. It's always a 10/10

12/09/2026: Two young women were working there at 7 PM. I just want to mention that I waited 15 minutes for a single coffee, even though there was no line at the time; they were simply lazy and chatting with each other. I hope the management takes action Thanks

12/09/2026: The tea itself did what it said on the tin: good variety, tasted exactly as expected. Sadly the staff seemed to have other priorities — their phones looked far more interesting than the customers standing in front of them. Three people behind the counter, zero smiles between them. It's been a while since I've felt quite so invisible in a café. Nice drinks, shame about the warmth.

15/08/2026: Macchiato with salad. Everything looked very fresh and tasted really good too.

22/07/2026: If I could give 0 stars, I WOULD! Stopped at the bakehouse by Samuel Beckett Bridge, two weeks ago. It was a busy day in Dublin but does not excuse the service from the staff. Upon seating indoors, we ordered our drinks and when wanting to order sandwiches we were told we could not change something in them due to them being already made. We accepted this, but when our drinks arrived they were all the wrong drinks. There was only one staff member working the floor which was too much pressure for any one staff member, so again we gave benefit of the doubt! After our drinks were changed we patiently waited for 40mins. As there was no sign of our food , I went up to the counter and spoke to the staff and they informed me they didnt know anything as they were only new, they got their colleague who told me we would be 3 more orders until our food would be with it. All we ordered were general basic sandwiches. As I was at the counter so was a woman at the table beside me who informed myself and the staff she had been waiting an hour for her food without being told she would have to. They told her she would be required to wait another 15mins. This type of service is inexcusable and not considerate of people and their plans and days. We were also not told how long we would be waiting until I approached them. What was worse is there was no apology from the staff team!

22/05/2026: Did my order through the website was waiting for my food, it was never arrived, called the place several times no answer, the money was gone from my account. They called me back the next morning to say they were closed yesterday but I can have a discount on my next order. When I ordered next time I ordered a garlic and cheese chips as a side order which they say it will be free. Still charged me delivery fee etc . And after all they sent me a plain chips instead because I guess was cheaper.. absolute joke never again
