27/12/2025: Got a chicken fillet burger meal Man behind the counter tried to overcharge me and insisted he was right told me it would be 10 minutes, i was the only one in the shop it took 25 minutes for the food to come out and it was the worst takeaway food ive ever had burger bun was stale and it was slapped together, chips were hard obviously cooked with old oil and the curry sauce was a tiny half filled tub of bad curry sauce would not recommend this place, i couldnt eat in because how dirty the tables and seats were and there was a bad smell of smoke from the kitchen

15/12/2025: I have eaten their pizza and burger both were so fresh. I would recommend this store to everyone if you are in Gort and want to have fresh and yummiest food. 10/10 kudos to the team …

21/02/2026: I have been ordering deliveries from this location for years and fast delivery with a reliable tracking app were 2 great selling points for this. Unfortunately, recently these have both changed for the worse...longer waits and the tracker app says food delivered waaay before the driver actually turns up. When you call them about this all you get are excuses!! I don't know if they have changed management and drivers but the level of service has very much declined. If they don't improve they will lose customers.

28/06/2025: One of their signature dishes is “Crispy Chicken Wings” with hot spicy sauce. I was not disappointed, they were great. Ordered the full portion with a side of onion rings, great snack meal. Service was good.

03/06/2025: The food was just ok. Our fries were barely warm. My burger was flavourless. Waste of money and calories

01/12/2025: I went for dinner today and had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The dining presentation was excellent they served the burger and other items in plates, which made everything looks better. The food and service made the visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

22/12/2025: I ordered salt & chiilli chicken I ate 2 pieces and realised it was lyk jelly in the inside it was completely raw I didn’t eat anymore of it I rang in 2 complain the lady that answered was very rude and asked me what can she do about that she said she would call me back in 10mins and lied I am very worried hopefully we won’t get sick for Xmas I feel disgusted please have this food place closed down before someone gets sick from it !!!🤢🤢🤢🤮

23/01/2026: Honestly i ordered because i saw the reviews and tempting pictures of their food but my experience was horrible, not sure if it was an accident bcz its my first time ordering ( doner kebab- chicken shish- fries) all of the things we ordered were so bad and i had to throw the chicken like literally all of it after tasting one bcz the taste and the dryness were horrible( not even worth half of the price they charge for it i honestly wouldnt eat it for free) the bread was so old and not fresh at all and even though we didnt order any beryani or something similar but food smelled and tasted as if all were cooked in same pot ..sorry for long review but this is my honest opinion i hope they fix the issue bcz it seems from outside like a nice restaurant and was looking forward to try it since not much here around dunshaughlin

24/12/2025: I’ve been visiting this pub regularly since arriving in Ireland on the 29th of September. It’s a local pub where I’ve met many locals, and until now I’ve always felt welcome. Most of the staff are friendly and professional, including other waiters and bar staff who do a great job. Unfortunately, my experience today was completely ruined by one waiter, Eoin, who presented himself as the manager. My friend and I stepped out briefly to get food, and when we returned there was a young apprentice waiter at the door along with a few young women who said they were waiting outside for their parents who were inside. The apprentice asked Eoin if we could re-enter, and he refused entry to both us and the girls. However, the girls were later allowed in by someone they knew, so we followed them back inside. At that point, people were being served normally, including those same girls. When Eoin noticed me inside, he became immediately aggressive. Without attempting to speak calmly or explain the situation, he started pushing me repeatedly and physically forcing me toward the door, acting more like security than bar staff. This happened in front of a full pub, with many locals watching. I tried multiple times to explain and to de-escalate the situation, but he refused to listen and continued to put his hands on me. He kept insisting that I “had to listen to him because he was the manager,” though his behavior was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I was singled out despite others being allowed to stay, and no reasonable explanation was given. Even after I tried to apologize to calm things down, I was told to “shove it.” I believe this kind of aggressive, confrontational behavior is bad for customers and bad for the business. It’s disappointing, especially in a pub I’ve supported regularly and where most of the staff do a much better job

05/10/2025: If you want a good pint and a cosy and warm place then here it is. Staff are always wonderful and friendly 👍

13/09/2025: Food is very nice and good sized portions but pricey. Recommending the slightly spiced chicken salad bowl ( which has a spiced yoghurt sauce) and the barnyard chicken toastie ( which has a BbQ mustard sauce). The fresh cream desserts are equally generous in size. It had a very airy open sit down area. They blend their own coffee as well.

03/09/2025: Stellar service from staff. On my own, feeding my baby and they went above and beyond. Owner really looked after me. You can see how by setting an example at the top - it trickles down. Everyone is fantastic. I’ll happily pay for that kind of service.

13/03/2026: On 23/02 at about 8.30pm my adult daughter purchased a chicken spicebag with sweet and sour sauce at Millenium 2 Castleknock. Her previous meal had been lunch at 1pm on the same day. At about 11.30pm she was violently ill with projectile vomiting, severe stomach pain, diarrhea and cold sweats which lasted for several hours. Although she was not fully recovered the next day, the main symptoms had eased. We have reported the matter to the relevant authorities. Please draw your own conclusions, and proceed with caution.

05/10/2025: I got a 3 in 1 from here tonight and it claimed to have curry sauce on it so I was in awe when I opened the box to see little to none. The chips in it were uncooked and absolutely foul tasting. I began eating anyway because I was very hungry but now have an unsettling feeling in my stomach. I am very disappointed and will not be returning. (Don’t order here unless you want to get let down)

14/07/2025: Waited 2 hours for my food and rang and gave my order number and was told its on the way, waited another 40 minutes and had to go down before they closed for a refund

10/04/2025: First time trying this place as new to the area and its absolutely delicious, full of flavour even the 2 year old is milling the food and its hard to get him to eat anything! Also 5 stars for that driver that delivered my food too, so chipper he actually cheered me right up with his greeting over the phone, I've had a bad day😅 then he wouldn't accept my tip because it was "too much" and insisted on not taking it, but I wouldn't take it back so he gave me an easter egg 🥹 legend

30/12/2025: Staff is fantastic and the atmosphere is welcoming, they are very knowledgeable about cocktails and drinks. When we are in town we always drop by for one or two and have a great time.

29/12/2025: Once inside, the Edison is a really nice, small bar. The decor is nice and the bartenders are all lovely and chatty. However the bouncers are very unwelcoming and interrogated us going in (searched our handbags!!)

27/12/2025: It was my first and last time with Domino's Portlaoise. Very unpleasant experience as I received overcooked and burned pizza. Couldn't expect that from this brand atleast !!

10/12/2025: Went into shop and had to wait 5 mins for someone to show at the counter. A ginger haired girl served me with not even a greeting. I asked for a 9 inch pepperoni pizza and payed 12 euro. Got my pizza and realized I was given a 11 inch. I was unhappy as I wasn’t hungry enough for a 11 inch and left overs were throw into bin. I then went back up to the counter to get a drink and was waiting another 5 mins with nobody to serve me. The staff here are always 10/10 but this is not the first time this one particular staff has been rude and looked like she doesn’t want to be there. I hope management brings this up Immediately.
