23/07/2025: Meal was only meh. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We booked for 4 people but were sat at a 2 person table with 2 chairs brought over to us that they had to go around asking for. Very squashed at the table which is fine for walk in but we had it booked. Food was all around only meh. I got the pizza which was straight out of the lidl frozen section. The icecream came out on a plate and half melted. My first bite of the icecream was warmer than the pizza

I appreciate the effort that goes into running a restaurant, but unfortunately, the overall quality of food was extremely low. Dishes tasted bland and lacked the freshness I was hoping for. The flavours didn’t quite match the standards I’ve come to expect from Chinese cuisine—there was little seasoning and ingredients did not taste fresh, covered with a lot of sauce. I’m sharing this not to criticize harshly, but in the hope that this feedback is helpful. I believe with more attention to freshness, flavour, and seasoning, your offerings could improve significantly and match the prices you are charging. 16/07/2025: Food is garbage. I've been cooking Thai food for decades and this is about as far off you can be from any semblance of authenticity. It's essentially the McDonald's of Thai food.

09/07/2025: Eat here last night, allergic to dairy so checked with the server about the meal I was ordering, he checked with the manager + I was assured there was no dairy in a Chicken Thai Red Curry with egg fried rice, that they only use coconut milk. I was sick as a dog afterwards, and was going onto a music event in the 3 Arena so my night was totally ruined. More care should be taken with folk with food allergies, might add the food was lovely - just clearly contained dairy 😭.

20/07/2024: Myself and partner went for dinner Thursday night. Starters were lovely. Mains - I got the beef burger and my partner got the chicken burger. His chicken burger was noticeably “wet” juices dripping out of the burger, his plate was soaked. He felt something was off, took the bun off the burger and we both noticed how pink the chicken burger was. The server came over and noticed it for herself that the chicken was pink. She quickly took it away to show her manager. The manager came over and apologised asked if he would like something else, we said no. We quickly left as my partner did not feel right. He vomited that night and had awful cramps the following day. The manager did not charge us for the chicken burger but charged for the rest of the meal. I left half of my burger on the plate as I was turned off my food by it all. Really disappointed as I’ve heard good things about the place.

13/08/2025: I recently visited East Ocean in Charleville and unfortunately, I have to share a very negative experience. While the food was decent, the atmosphere was completely soured by the owner's behavior. I witnessed the owner, June, being incredibly abusive towards the teenage staff. The way he spoke to them was disrespectful and unprofessional, creating a tense and uncomfortable environment for everyone present. As a customer, it was disheartening to see young people treated in such a manner. I believe in supporting local businesses, but I cannot in good conscience recommend East Ocean based on this experience. The owner's behavior is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. I hope the management addresses this issue and creates a more positive and respectful workplace for their employees.

10/07/2024: We visited from UK and was really shocking to see this was the only LGBTQ+ bar in Galway. Bar was very small and atmosphere was definitely off! However host and bar persons were brilliant! Music was available on request which is always fun and plenty to choose from on the cocktail menu

03/07/2024: From Canada, in Galway durin our spring break in March. I had horrible experience. Looked up gay bar. Excited to go on late aftenoon with my str8 brother in law. Just to be made fun and ridiculd by bad queen i guess hosting a str8 girls night. All for that and great for doing...but once we walked in, door not locked, NOT EVEN A SIGN OUTSIDE saying closed fir private event. Once i heard it say thats why door is closed...made me sooo pissed off at how you treat new guests. In my world, you put a sign on door saying private party. Not make fun of tourist who just wanted to go to safe gay place. I will NOT recommend this place, and hope someone will open another gay place to go...or at least fire that wannabe queen. She not even a princess.....just trash.

03/08/2025: Should just close it at this stage. Asked for a chicken kebab and normally you'd expect salad and the trimings but no such luck. As dry as cardboard, just chopped up bits of chicken thrown into a cold, limp pitta and not as much as an ounce of flavour. Very disappointing. The girl at the counter barely said thanks and the rest of the staff seemed like they had no interest being there. Nowhere near worth the €25 price. Been going for years but from now on I'll take my chances elsewhere.

11/07/2025: 4 years ago I got the worst food poisoning of my life from Antonellis. I hadn't stepped foot in the place since until today. Ordered 2 fish and chips. One fish looked like a battered fish and the other looked like it was begging to be put out of it's misery. It had been cooked more than once and tasted disgusting. I ate a small bit, struggling to even chew it and I have not felt well since. This place seriously needs to be inspected. Lesson learned, never again will I eat here again.

14/07/2025: Sorry to say but the kebab just the worst ever .. Would hard to belive to selling that meat to customers..Fully loaded with ketchup .. The meat was like leftover don't know how was heated up but taste like very tired oil from depp fryer or dirty grill.. So sad.. Never again..

06/07/2025: Terrible Experience – Missing Items, Poor Quality, and Unhelpful Service The last two times I have ordered delivery from Supermac's & Papa John's in Blackrock, both times the experience has been extremely disappointing. The quality of the food has fallen off a cliff. On this latest order, a whole 14-inch pizza was missing from our delivery. When we called the restaurant immediately, the person in charge refused to replace the missing pizza so we could all have dinner together and instead told us to complain to the delivery company. They even suggested that the JustEat delivery driver might have taken the pizza, which IMHO is absurd given the delivery was only 10 minutes from pickup. And the staff made no effort to check if the pizza was sent out with the order? You would know if you sent a pizza out 10 minutes ago??? The food itself used to be good, but was awful. The chicken coating was like biting tarmac, especially at the ends, and the chips were now cold after our delivery time had been changed 3 times, and very soggy. After paying over €50 for a quick takeaway meal on a Saturday evening, I would expected much better from what used to be a reputable establishment for a takeaway. Missing a whole pizza is completely unacceptable! I have a video of our delivery before last, which has two bun heels on the same burger, a "sprinkle" of lettuce and a "a threat" of burger sauce. That's one of the reasons we ordered an extra burger sauce, which was paid for, but missing from the last order! Customer service on this issue was completely unhelpful and dismissive. Do not bother replying asking me to email or contact elsewhere — go to your restaurant and see for yourself what customers are experiencing. A once good takeaway brand is now truly awful in terms of food quality and customer service. If I could give zero stars I would, I will definitely not be returning.
