The best restaurants

09/02/2025: Original owners long gone, place could do with a good clean and the food is dreadful. Only cash accepted, the whole place just stinks of grease. Staff extremely rude, wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

08/02/2025: Index is gone. The security staff, who many people have mentioned before, were an issue. I was there with my girlfriend and had a bean bag with me. One of the bouncers jokingly called it a "lady bag" and kept laughing at me. I didn’t want to argue with him because I knew he wouldn’t let me in after, but honestly, some basic customer service would be nice. I paid for my ticket, which helps pay their wages, so a little professionalism isn’t too much to ask. I get that they don’t need to be geniuses, but hiring staff with at least some common sense and a professional attitude would go a long way. The security checks also feel more intense than at an international airport. And maybe try opening on time? We know you’re the only club in Dublin, so we don’t have many options, but this is Ireland—it’s windy, and it rains. Standing outside for an hour in that weather is enough to make anyone sick. I used to love Index, not gonna lie.

01/02/2025: Mind the bouncers, they will sack you for the minimal reason or not let you go in if you arrive late doesn't matter if you have the ticket already.

25/01/2025: This was my first time eating at Donatellos. I usually avoid Italian food as it is dairy- and wheat-intensive, both of which I have intolerances to. I need not have worried. Donatellos had a vegan menu and a vast range of wheat-free alternatives and went through them over the phone with me in advance. The chargrilled vegetable starter was delicious, as was the mushroom risotto for main. To top it all, the dessert was a rare find for me - a gluten-free and vegan chocolate tart which was heavenly. Service was friendly and efficient and members of staff were well versed in allergens etc. My friends had various pizzas, pasta al mare dishes etc. and all enjoyed their choices. The décor is lovely and there's a good ambience. I'm looking forward to returning.

20/11/2024: Guy in charge of the roulette live tables isnt very nice. Was there the other night and put 26 on 20 and it hit but the girl gave me back 25 chip and left 1 euro chip on the number and said the word 25. i didnt understand what she meant so i was about to ask and the ball was spinning and the 20 hit and I was told that I was told but it was confeusing. after a while i waited in confeusion and asked the table in charge guy and he was just rude and said he couldnt do anything yet what they should have done was paid 25 on the number and said well give you back the 1 euro chip as you could only bet 26 which i found out after. staff were rude and id avoid the place if you want to be robbed.

02/04/2025: Usually the food is good, but today the burritos fell apart completely. The staff didnt accept student leapcard as student card, even though its written student on the card. And the restaurant was messy, mop trolley with red and blue colour mixed up and chairs upside down. Really disappointed this time.

22/03/2025: Waited a hour for food the guy didn’t make it until we asked him and when we ask him for forks he forgot and the food was absolutely rotten don’t bother it’s a waste of time

19/04/2025: Three of us came in for lunch after a walk to the castle. The staff were lovely and clearly doing their best, though they seemed overworked. The food really let the place down. We ordered three different types of quiche—but they all tasted the same -gooey and stale - like they were made from one big batch. The only potatoes on offer were garlic-flavoured and tasted old—definitely not fresh. It's a real shame because the setting here in Donegal is stunning and deserves much better.

13/04/2025: Small shop for halal fried chicken and burger. No tables available. The chicken they serve is really nice and tasty.

07/04/2025: Drove 12 kilometres to collect the food as it's halal fc. Look what I got burn popcorn. chicken pieces were good. Business isn't for one day. You shouldn't serve this popcorn to customer's

27/03/2025: Over priced food €4.50 for chips and €10.50 for a bit of fish for lunch chips were raw, and the chicken was reheated from the night previous no even specials for school kids that were their, no effort

We also tried the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection and bursting with authentic Lebanese spices. Every single bite was a delight, a testament to the chef's skill and passion for Lebanese cuisine. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality, making each dish truly shine. The atmosphere perfectly complements the incredible food. It's warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxed and sophisticated ambiance. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a place to enjoy a meal with friends and family, this restaurant provides the perfect setting. Finally, the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to answer our questions and offer recommendations, making sure we had everything we needed. The service was prompt and efficient without being intrusive, creating a truly enjoyable and stress-free dining experience. In short, Cedar House is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Lebanese food. With its exceptional cuisine, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service, it's a dining experience that I can't recommend highly enough. I'll definitely be back soon!

08/04/2025: Got the order wrong and obviously substituted olives I requested for extra jalapino which made the pizza inedible for me as it overpowered the whole taste so my husband ate it after removing half the chilli. There was even chilli under the cheese. Please read the customer's order and don't substitute something spicy that will kill the taste. This was a 2nd chance pizza after getting one last year which wasn't great but we were giving a another go. Won't come back.

21/02/2025: I ordered a long tray of curry chips for my first day of drinking. it was dry and chips connected together due to the little portion of curry sauce they put in. maybe just two spoonful?
