27/11/2024: Lovely place, family friendly, delicious food. Vegan pizza was also delicious.. For sure our favourite spot to eat in Westport!

24/11/2024: Very disappointed with our delivery. We ordered through mayo eats. I got mac and cheese balls and when I opened the box there was a big long black hair in it. I ordered a burger for my partner and asked for no salads or sauces. It arrived fully loaded with both. The pizza arrived cold and I had to reheat. I will not be ordering again. The food is pricey and the standard should be better.

10/12/2024: Very mediocre. Food is hit and miss. I ordered after seeing it was part restaurant from the photos but the prices don’t really justify the food. Ribs in BBQ - Probably some of the fattest pieces of ribs I’ve had from a takeaway. Out of 4 ribs, only one could be completely eaten to the bone which is quite disappointing. 2/5 Chicken cheese rolls (3) - definitely the skinniest chicken cheese rolls I’ve ever had. The €5.50 price mark does not equate to what I received. 2/5 Sweet & Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style - The chicken was good and quite a good portion, however the veg (especially the peppers), was borderline raw, it was like they was just kissed in the wok for a few seconds. Nobody wants raw veg in their curry. 3/5 Salt & Chilli Prawn main - good dish. Lots of prawns nicely coated. Also quite big and juicy. 5/5 Overall 3/5

14/12/2024: I really do not like leaving bad reviews, especially for local businesses, but I can’t get my head around last night. Went there for an annual Christmas dinner with friends, none of us had been there before. The lady serving had no clue whether the green beans “main” was vegan even though it should have been from reading the menu. A chef had to come out from the kitchen so we could double check. That’s fine. The olives came out first, they were really delicious. The mains came then, and I was just so disappointed. A green veg main, it did have different greens in it and some pomegranate seeds which was lovely, but it was swimming in soya sauce. I don’t like sweet stuff so I’m all about the salt, but I couldn’t even eat it. It was ridiculously salty. Costing the same as a meat dish is just ridiculous too at €16:50 / €16:00 is just crazy. We got a bottle of Cava €44, it was plonked on the table, no cool bucket or anything. And the table beside us was changed to seat 3 which meant the poor guys back was brushing off the side of our table and we had to ask him to stand up and move into the walkway by the door when we had to go to the bathroom as there was no other way out. Nobody came to check if our meal was okay or if we would like more drinks. The atmosphere was great, lovely Christmas feel, but at the prices they are charging for what you get, would never go back unfortunately. Still so hungry on leaving and downed a 2ltr bottle of water due to the salt when I got home.

07/01/2025: I live in Foxes bow, I was always a big fan of the food, ordered tonight, got a portion of what turned out to be a king prawn salad?? Never heard of it before and do not eat prawns, realised I had been charged for it, rang the restaurant and the response I got was aggressive enough saying why it be on the order unless you asked for it?? As I said, keep the cash, not looking for anything back, but here's some free advice, when someone orders, maybe read the order back so you don't overcharge someone, most 16 old wait staff understand to do this and also know when to apologise when they are in the wrong

29/12/2024: Very disappointed.....food was way below average, ordered special fried rice ...it had no beef ...no prawns...and very little chicken.....Will definitely never order from them again

13/12/2024: I want to make a serious complaint about Burger King, every time I come to eat a snack or even a milkshake they give the milkshake in a Coca Cola cup and the straw is to drink soda, what restaurant is this that doesn't provide a straw to drink a milkshake I have to use a spoon to enjoy it.

05/09/2024: This was the first time I have visited the Greencastle Inn and I have to say the surroundings and the food was first class. Nothing was any problem for the chef ! The service staff were very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone visiting

01/01/2025: Food is great , just a pity the staff are the most ignorant and rude people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Me and many people I know will not go there just because of the staff. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere that aren't ignorant. There is one girl who usually is on the till that gave us a dog bowl with water when we had our dogs who was LOVELY. I hope she goes somewhere that she doesn't have to work with people like the rest.

24/01/2025: Won't ever order from here again..pasta was small portion very mediocre and I ordered the extra large pizza for 23.80 and it didn't come with a dip! It came with a soggy base!! Very disappointed with the food!!

23/01/2025: 3 stars for the salt and vinegar situation. Murphy’s has been a family go to for years and years. I’ve started going back recently. I can’t understand why they won’t salt and vinegar the food while it’s hot out of the oil. The sloppy foley was a 10/10, but with the lack of salt and vinegar chips inside it, it’s easily brought down to at 6/10. Please bring back the use of salt and vinegar behind the counter. Sachets are no good.

22/01/2025: Food good in general but place looks like it could do with a good clean. Guy inside the counter really nice and friendly. Food is of a good standard and fresh.

13/12/2024: Lovely place for a pint, Willie junior and senior are very welcoming. Theres a Dart board or pool table and when the fire is on it's hard to leave the place.

26/01/2025: I have been to many Supermacs around Ireland and have always had great food and services even during peak times. I can’t say the same for my experience in Supermacs in Blackrock. It was as if we were inconveniencing the staff member who took our order. The restaurant was quiet at this time so there was no excuse of being overwhelmed, she just wasn’t friendly or nice. The food had a plastic taste to it, which other Supermacs do not. If I was in Blackrock again, I can’t say I would be returning.
