The best restaurants

13/07/2025: We had a family group of 16 celebrating an 80th birthday here. The setting was lovely, and the service was solid, our single waiter handled the large group with care, was friendly, and got all the orders right, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. We all ordered from the main menu, and while the dishes varied, the general consensus was that the food was average at best. A particular letdown was the “seared lemon sole fillet” which turned out to be just deep-fried fish in batter, more like pub grub than the refined dish the menu description suggested. To her credit, the manager acknowledged our concerns and made adjustments to the bill, which we appreciated. Still, for a venue like this - a 4 start hotel, the kitchen needs to up their game. Nice atmosphere, good service , but the food fell short of the mark.

23/06/2025: Stayed in hotel and foot injury meant I had to stay in to dine one night. Both courses had elements described on the menu missing with no explanation. Veg overcooked. Bland food. Wish I had paid for a taxi into town instead. Staff were good.

13/08/2025: I used to love going here i went for food 27 jul with the family it was awful fish had so much grease on it and chips were terrible a pint was 7.80 I won't be going back and coffe machine is still broke what are the new owners doing?

11/08/2025: Classic pub food but with a personal touch that makes the difference, it's fresh and there are a few vegetables.

24/08/2025: Ordered curry cheese chips and a quarter pounder with cheese. Curry on the chips was a clumpy powder. Wasn't sauce at all. Couldn't eat them. had to bring them back. Burger was not the best. Unfortunately.

29/07/2025: i ordered food online and had waited over an hour, and still nothing when called the hadn’t even made our order yet, for fast food the sure do take there time

25/07/2025: The girl who served me was lovely and the food was the usual Supermacs standard so I was fairly happy

09/08/2025: Pure dirt. The worst 'satay' (if you can call it that) I've ever had the misfortune to order. Pure watery muck and not a peanut in sight 🤮 Do yourself a favour and avoid.

04/07/2025: Very nice place. Amazing atmosphere and lovely staff.

27/06/2025: Had a lovely stay. Safe, clean, cheap option. The breakfast was pretty basic but it does the job.

25/06/2025: Was here before so far a very good hostel cannot say one bad word called a half hour before arrival and told the staff had a bicycle with me and were a 100 per cent okay gave me storage for my bike and all very welcoming and any time I told them might have to check out a bit earlier than usual were 100 per cent about that too so welcoming and easy going their pizza and pint special is good and it was good very easy going but well managed hostel they know how to pour a good pint and very decent cocktails and great music most nights of the week I would definitely highly recommend BRU BAR AND HOSTEL to anyone 👍

21/08/2025: Good with a view. Right next golf course and lovely view of sea. Food was amazing n staff are very friendly. My wife tried vegetarian option. I would surely visit them again if I’m in Kilkee again.

18/09/2025: *Would give zero stars if possible* Food was terrible, chips were very dry seemed like reheats from yesterday, burger lousy, kebab was like a swamp in a box. The delivery driver was extremely disrespectful over the phone, he arrived 15mins earlier than the scheduled time and threatened to drive off. As it was an order for a business there was a clear note to instruct the driver to call when leaving so I can meet him at the entrance but got a call when he was 1 min away and threatened to drive off if I wasn't there in 2mins and hung up the phone on me multiple times. If this is the person you have between the restaurant and the customers good luck because he'll ruin your business. Will never order again, disgraceful.

03/09/2025: Asked for a cod portion and got a dried up cod or I think it was, asked for plenty of salt and vinegar got a sprinkle? And now I’m home I can’t be bothered to bring it back, but they’ve lost a customer now and I used to love it here, all I can say is keep an eye on the how they prepare it so you get what you paid for.

09/05/2025: Just an amazing experience all around. Not only the staff is very pleasant but the food is top tier. I have never had such delicious chips in my whole life. The texture and temperatures were perfect. The burger and the slice of cakes were so tasty.

03/05/2025: Hi all I just wanna help others not to get sick! Went yesterday 2/05/2025 there to eat with my 2 kids and daughtet get so sick after she had a salmon with some veg . thats terible thing to give poison food to people. The potsion for 20€ omg so so smal and not fresh at all ...that INDIAN guy there so rude and not profesional at all he should never cook!!!

18/06/2025: the best McDonald’s in its area in terms of food, the food is always fast and good quality but staff aren’t particularly welcoming, friendly or helpful.

15/06/2025: Absolutely disgusted by the car park policy. If you leave the car park on foot you will be clamped. 125 euro release fee. If you're thinking about getting something from Circle K next door it'll cost you dearly. I learned the hard way today. Got clamped after 5 minutes as the man waited in the van for anyone leaving the car park. Won't be coming again.

02/08/2025: I used the drive thru at the Hungry Lyons today on the Ennis road in Limerick and I have to say that I was very disappointed ☹️ The chips were freezing and didn’t look like they had been freshly cooked but more like reheated, also the assistant at the hatch never included a serviette.The burger was adequate to be fair. UPDATE ! I used this restaurant again yesterday 1/8/2025 and whilst the burger was good the portion of chips was very disappointing, you could literally count them !

23/08/2025: Food very delicious 😋, but the delivery 🚚 was the best, only one bad comment, I didn't have enough time to take pictures of food 🤩😅, I have very good experience with Nass Inn, thanks guys 🤝.

05/09/2025: Rock hard chips - like eating cement. The staff couldn't have cared less. If you don't bring it back, they won't entertain you. The whole point of a takeaway is not to have to go back. Awful. Avoid!
