The best restaurants

09/05/2025: Ok food (reason i'm giving more than 1 star) reasonably priced and clean. However the service I got was absolutely awful. I got the full irish which you get a free tee/coffee with. Personally I can't have caffeine (medical reasons), therefore I asked for a decaf coffee. Yes I could just ask for a hot chocolate or something however i thought for something different would be nice. I made it very clear to the waitress atleast twice of my order at the till, which seemed ok so I sat and waited. Fast forward 10 or 15 minutes later and she came with my cappuccino. I asked, to double check, if it's decaf to which she slowly said no. I then (again) explained i can't have caffeine and would like a decaf coffee instead. As she was taking it away she HUFFED as if it was all my fault. My friend noticed she wasn't writing anything down while ordering, and the restaurant was fair quite at the time (that said she did seem to be the only one behind the till.) God knows if I had another food intolerance. Again a few minutes passed and this other waiter came with a cappuccino. I asked if its decaf which he said yes to (this turned out to be my friend's which I didnt know we got the same drink lol). A few seconds later the same lady came out with my coffee. I again questioned if it was decaf where she said yes. At this point I gave it to my boyfriend as I felt couldn't trust them. After drinking it he said there's 100% caffeine in there (I definitely felt more awake after a few sips myself) The waitress seemed to not give a toss about being there. What makes it angry is the way she dealt with the situation. I also work in hospitality (including being a barista at times), and I myself had times where I might make a mistake. However I'd always rectify them and show good customer service. She literally lied to me about what type of coffee it was and made me feel bad for asking to send it back. The manegers really have to give their employees a customer service crash course or something Great start to the day 😃 A few extra points: at first I ordered a mocha, however was charged €12 when the menu said €11.50. When I asked about this she said the mocha was an extra 50 cents. She never said that prior nor as far as I could tell it said on the menu. Also the food came before the drinks, which i thought was a bit weird as usually its the other way around. These weren't not that much of a deal however, just thought I'll point these out aswell.

25/08/2025: Perfect tasty food! Very polite staff and the price is good too! Their chicken burger is a dream and the fries are big and chunky and it’s a huge portion- the garlic mayonnaise is sooo yummy too.

13/08/2025: The spicy chicken kebab was SO good! The freshly-baked naan was a nice treat, and the chicken was juicy and tender. This place is a solid option if you are in need of quick, cheap food.

23/06/2025: Amazing staff. They make one of the most filling good value burger deals in town. It is in an ideal location for shops and has indoor and outdoor sitting. They make a decent coffee and tea too. Cannot go wrong with Blackrock Café! Locals can be seen outside of the Café on sunny days and for good reason. Great and friendly staff. Good value for money and an ideal location, what is not to love!

23/03/2025: for a cafe they have very good food. they do a bit of everything and nice cakes. it's owned by a palestinian family i believe so if you want to show support for them it's the place to go🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸! the staff are friendly also its called jacoub's now not blackrock

04/08/2025: I ordered spicy nuggets and got plain nuggets the cheese burger was good and the passion fruit sprite was the best drink ever

08/07/2025: My latte today tasted like a cheap 3-in-1 instant version. There was absolutely no foam. My friend's cappuccino was also like slop. The staff cleans the tables and floor when the customer sits down to drink coffee. Not when they leave. The tables are dirty. We were drinking coffee at a low table sitting in chairs and a guy with a broom came and started sweeping around us, even though the rest of the place was empty and in need of cleaning. To us it was like "Get out of this cafe!" I will never come to this place again. The foam was only for washing your hands, not in the coffee cups.

13/09/2025: Food is great but DO NOT order from Just Eat. The delivery guy placed the pizza boxes vertically which obviously disintegrated the pizzas and we couldn’t eat it like a pizza.

10/09/2025: The food at Tasty Pick is amazing. I have never tasted such food in Dublin and the staff here is also great. I want to tell you all that you have come here to enjoy the food at Tasty Pick.

21/08/2025: Everything is great and sweet except the entrance security telling U "not tonight" for absolutely no reason

04/08/2025: Worst experience ever! Think twice before going, your night can be ruined very easily The staff is very rude and aggressive. I had a very bad night there. The bouncers working that night were disrespectful, touching and speaking to me aggressively and inappropriately. Refusing to give me the possibility to show my ticket that I bought online without giving me any reasons and with the same ticket my friends got inside the club. So the explanation for this rudeness doesn’t exist or maybe is related to some kind of discrimination but of course i will never know because apparently it is not my right to know why I experienced all of this. Its your choice to still go and give it a shot but remember that I was alone with my tears and my frustration and no one helped me there. I want again to say thank to my friends that supported me. Be careful because this can happen again and maybe next time Is gonna happen to you or your friends.

25/03/2025: Getting very tired of mags if u don't want to deliver to my address please tell me we pay for it to be delivered and we get our food left hanging over our bk gate and it has been there for 20 mins half hour gone cold its not on so if u can please contact me and tell me u don't want to do delivery's to my address that will be brilliant

29/07/2024: The worst dining experience I have ever had!!! I wouldn't give anywhere a bad review but this was shocking. Firstly me and my wife were greeted with as much as a grunt and a "Sit wherever we are empty anyway" attitude. We were sat at a table where menus were basically thrown at us. The layout of the menu is awful the mezze boards were written all over the place, when my wife tried to order the Syrian platter the owner repeated Beirut, she pointed at the Syrian on the menu and he repeated yes its the Beirut, which of course when it came it was not what we wanted on the platter at all, and at a price of €25 is too much to be wrong. We ordered the rest of our meal which was promptly rushed out of my wife as if he had better things to be doing. All the time we were there we were never asked for drinks so I had to ask as he had no interest, and on the menu it said it came with ice and lemon, but it arrived with neither. Our mains arrived and my Wifes tasted like the yoghurt sauce had turned, and there were no pomegrante seeds as stated on the menu. Mine was rock solid, molten hot (Microwaved) and contained plastic containers for sauce that you would expect from a take away. The meat and rice were so hard and inedible that as I write this I feel physically ill. I proceeded to try and ask could we get the bill and explain that the food had been inedible but to my surprise me and my wife were left completely alone in the restaurant with no one. I went into the kitchen and found someone and asked could we sort the bill and where our waiter was to be told he has left and we would have to wait until whenever hes back. This is outragious he left his customers completely alone in the restaurant and we were expected to stay than pay for attrocious inedible food. The poor kitchen porter was super apologetic and even looked afraid of what will happen when his boss arrives back. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

25/06/2025: The Pizza is good and the staff is always friendly, however I would say it is a little expensive unless there is a deal.

07/06/2025: I was there this afternoon a female staff member got my order wrong she put extremely spicy sauce on my sub I took a bite and it burned my mouth and lips I dumped it in the bin. I don’t understand how hard it is to follow the instructions she seemed pleasant but it’s not good enough and I didn’t see any manager today about it he wasn’t there. Absolute Waste of time and money. Can the staff and manager stop pulling the card machine away before it’s finished being used my card was blocked before because of this. It would also be great if they were nicer to the public not pick and chose who to be nice to and rude to. Do better all across the board much better.

27/06/2024: I visited this place few days ago I ordered wings and they were tooo vinegary and Lamb Rogan Josh was sooo salty plus the food colour they add is worth killing somebody Please visit some other good Indian Food restaurant in cork and you better skip this

20/08/2025: I absolutely love there chips and chicken nugget kids meal only €6 too and there burgers are 10/10 love this place so much hope they stay open forever all tho they do open late in the day it’s fine because they close at 1am which isn’t too bad
