The best restaurants

14/06/2026: This was my first and definitely last visit to this place. My fiancée and I wanted to try something different, so we chose Dhaka during our visit to Castlebar. As soon as we got to our table, I noticed right away that it was dirty, greasy, and sticky. That was the first red flag, but we decided to give them a chance, thinking maybe they just hadn't had time to clean it yet. Communicating with the waiter was difficult because his English was very poor. We waited nearly 50 minutes for our food. The prawns were almost raw, and the beef was so tough that it was impossible to chew. However, I wouldn't give a 1-star review just for the food quality alone. What the manager (or owner, I'm not sure) did was way over the line. He was walking around the dining area almost the entire time, talking loudly on his phone. Then, he sat down just a few tables away from us and started picking at his toenails! It was so disgusting that we stopped eating halfway through our meal. (I just hope he doesn't do the same thing in the kitchen). We will never, ever come back here.

05/04/2026: Best Indian food ever.Superb taste and flavour. !Sultan is always so friendly, helpful and efficient.I always go back.Food is superb. Flavours are out of this world. Definitely a must when visiting Castlebar or looking for a takeaway..

28/05/2026: Best takeaway in Drogheda, food is always amazing and the very few times theres been an issue with my order, the staff are always willing to rectify.

03/07/2026: I would like to make a complaint about the service from Pakistan owner customer service I received at Pizza Max today. My son, who uses walking sticks and cannot stand for long periods, went into the shop to order a doner kebab. He was charged €10 for the kebab and was not asked if he wanted chips or a drink. He then had to come back outside to ask me for more money so he could order them separately. After ordering, he waited around 10 minutes. When he went back to order the chips and drink, he had to wait another 10 minutes. No customer at all and he jot serious him.let him.wait for lond time i went into the shop and politely asked why he had not been asked about chips and a drink when he first ordered, especially as he has difficulty standing for long periods. The staff member responded very rudely i am mother and he talk to my beside my son aggressively the Pakistani owner men took €6 from the till and threw the money on the floor in front of me. He said, “Do you think I need your money? I have more money than you.” I explained that the issue was not about money, but about how customers are treated, especially a young person with mobility difficulties. I was then told to leave the shop. I am very disappointed by the poor customer service from pakistan , disrespectful behaviour, and lack of professionalism shown by this staff member. I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and investigated.

20/06/2026: Everything was fine until after i ate my kebab and chips and my stomach wanted a eviction notice 😭🙏

21/06/2026: Made an order online and tried to ring since making the order. Can't get through and now the phone is off the line

06/06/2026: The food didn’t taste bad but it definitely didn’t taste like biryani and chicken butter. Also it took them so long to deliver the food.

27/04/2026: The worst Indian dinner I've ever had. Ingredients missing from dishes. Meat was sparse, naan was like rubber, mushroom dish was mostly onions. Chips were grand.

09/07/2026: placed an order approximately 13.00, with an estimated time. While I understand that delays can happen for various reasons, the delay in this case was excessive. We waited an additional 15 minutespast the estimated time and then check on the status. We were informed it will be don’t shortly. However, by 35 mins there was still no sign of the order, which was quite frustrating. What concerned me most was the attitude of the female employee Anna who answered me .she was very rude and stated that the order will be ready now “when it needs to,” which I found unprofessional and inappropriate. Is this the standard of training provided to your staff? I believe this interaction should be reviewed, as the employee clearly requires further training in customer service and professionalism. While I understand that employees may not always be able to resolve delays immediately, there is no justification for speaking to customers in a disrespectful manner. I strongly recommend reviewing your staff training processes, as experiences like this will make sure you start losing out customers.

21/05/2026: Disgrace of a company, trying to tell me I’m blacklisted on the phone never ordered from the shop in my life kept me on the phone for 8 minutes dragging out the phone call to then tell me I’m blacklisted

20/05/2026: Had a triple decker contained 2 medium pizzas , garlic bread, 2 chips and onion rings.....pizza, garlic bread and onion rings were just delicious, chips were lovely except a lot of them were very black, the girl that was on service was a delight to deal with, friendly, chatty and smiley, will definitely be back.

29/05/2026: First time at this place , I bought a mint chocolate bomb chiller. It was the best pick for me on the hot day very refreshing, just as the name says. The staff was kind sweet spoken and did her job well.

14/03/2026: My friend Tiernan ordered from this restaurant as we do regularly , ordered a spice bag with no veg, proceeded to pay for the spice bag and take it away only to find he had been given no chicken in this spice bag . This really broke his heart as he loves spice bag and the only thing he loves more than a spice bag ia the chicken inside of the spice bag. Not good enough
