The best restaurants

13/04/2025: We have visited The Good Room many times and most of the time the food is very good. There’s good choice on the menu and something for everyone. However, the service is an issue unfortunately. It takes far too long to order , we’ve often had to wait a good 15/20 mins after seating and then have to go get a waitress ourselves or try to get the attention of one. It’s a pity because as mentioned the food is consistently good but poor service leaves a bad taste I’m afraid.

16/03/2025: Was delighted to try this cafe after hearing such positive things about it. My friend and I both ordered the pulled chicken on flat bread. We were both dissatisfied with the quality of chicken. All we got was the grey meat. Afterwards we both felt gawkey thinking about it. For the price charged I would have thought there would be some white chicken! Not sure if I would go back again after this unless it was for a vegetarian option!

20/01/2025: We ordered a Pizza a burger and wedges last Saturday night, January 18th. The only positive was the delivery driver and quick delivery time. The food was worse than a dogs dinner, the Burger was burnt to crisp like it had been taken to hell with the devil and back. Disgusting and not edible, I genuinely wouldn't and didn't feed it to my dogs. The pizza was slightly better but that is not saying much. It was also burnt on the underside it might have dodged the trip to hell the burger enjoyed but it was definitely overcooked. I am still waiting on the wedges. Very disappointing and to be honest I have ordered from here in the past and it has been okay. But seriously how can you even think to send food out like that, It smacks of carelessness and awful customer service. I will not order from here again. 30 euro for the pleasure. No thanks.

30/10/2024: Shredded chicken is my favourite from here doesn’t taste like spice bag version from other takeaways . Defo my go to when ordering from happy valley. Special Fred rice has bits or rib, prawns etc in it and just beautiful to eat. Chips are like homemade and nice change than regular ones in town.

21/04/2025: The worst pollo katsu of my life. No tasty, no quality. The meat had a white color and was barely cooked. The rice was good but it's not worth it.

18/04/2025: The food was disgusting, the noodles had little flavor, and the meat seemed to be undercooked and chewy. The bathroom did not have soap, and it is tiny. I wouldn't repeat it again.

27/04/2025: The owner man is walking around like a bouncer, very bad vibes of him. I'd imagine he's an absolute bully. Bit Irish charging €2 for adults, like are you joking me. I didn't know we had to purchase drinks, he got on to me for giving my kids own drinks, fair enough but his demeanor was very aggressive. I was going to buy food and drinks but this put a sour taste in mouth between his manner and charging for adults. You only get an hour and a half, the place is big with lots to do so not long enough.. definitely will give this place a miss due to the owner. No thanks!

24/04/2025: Our visit to Jump4Joy was really disappointing. We were even charged for our 11-month-old, which felt unreasonable given their age. My son felt uncomfortable and said he didn’t want to come back, mainly because of how the manager spoke to him — abrupt and unnecessarily rude. The manager also walks around the venue like a bouncer, watching the kids even though parents are there to supervise. It made the whole experience feel tense instead of fun. For the price, we expected a much more welcoming and child-friendly environment. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this one was hard to ignore. We won’t be returning.

09/03/2025: No veg options. When asked if there are samosas or vada pao, he said he will need to prepare and didn’t bother. I guess this place is good for non vegetarians and not suitable for vegetarians

15/02/2025: Best chowder in Howth! And I’ve tried quite a few. Perfectly seasoned and plenty of fish. Highly recommend. Friendly efficient staff also.

20/03/2025: The Best chipper in Dublin ! Batter burger not too thick :-) Chips fantastic .. thick .. properly cooked Southern fried chicken really really good ... tender chicken .. crispy skin .. lots of flavour. The best thing ... the salt and vinegar !!! Propert tasty tangy vinegar ... not the usual water other places use ... still great tasting after bringing the food home. Really looking forward to trying other things 10/10
