05/03/2026: chicken was absolutely peng, the hot wings had that crispy outside with the flavorsome chicken inside, the chips were seasoned to absolute perfection, the seasoning had me doing backflips it was too peng, the chicken breast was so juicy and too leng, with the cold pepsi oh my days 10 10

10/02/2026: We ordered a zinger burger meal and a fillet roll but it’s was not worth the price and I did not ate the roll at all as both of it was dry cold and dry and the cheap were good . We live in cork and the kfc over there is soooooooo goood but Srry this one is not worth spending the money on .

21/02/2026: Tonight I ordered a ginger boy, half of the box was onions, there was no garlic, 2 micro sticks of ginger and 2 slices of shitake mushrooms. Prawns were over cooked. I'm very disappointed because last time it was excellent. If there is no consistency in the food quality I won't order again.

24/09/2025: I got Chicken & Broccoli with Noodles and a Sprite, €17.50. The Broccoli was yellow, brown and slimy. I threw half of it in the bin as it put me off. Overpriced below par food but nice Counter Staff. Shame really 😔

16/02/2026: Very disappointed in this place. I am unable to use the app to place orders. So i figured id call them and place an order for collection. Upon my request i was told cash only for phone calls. Something about turning down potential business over cash seems like a sketchy place to me and I won't ever try this place. Money Laundering perhaps? its 2026 and everyone uses card.

13/02/2026: Asked for a spice bag extra spicy and a curry extra hot.... Curry was bland and no spice on spice bag.... Rang up to complain they said you can have free spice bag next time.... Got extra hot spice bag again very little spice again very dissatisfied

15/03/2026: Mothers day today made an order me and the kids and herself came to 35e or so. My son got upset when his sister got a toy and he didnt in fairness he ordered chicken wings. I went to the till and asked could i buy just the toy and was told no as my son cried i was forced to buy another kids meal spending our last bit of money in the process ruining a beautiful day for us all

03/01/2026: The food was pathetic and it was substandard not worth the money. Trust me on this I never put negative comments on business unless it’s a health hazard. We asked for some customization and they acknowledged it and later delivered food which wasn’t meeting the standards. We ordered chicken fried rice and we got white rice with just peas. And egg fried rice was just white rice. Super pathetic and unhealthy.

01/10/2025: I bought battered sausage and batter burger and chips the batter was still raw and undercooked the pork sausage and burger were stale the meat smelled rotten

21/02/2026: Ordered a Spice Box and a Thai Prawn Red Curry. The curry was tasteless as were the prawns, all went in the bon. Similar to others it is unfortunate. I'm posting this after putting a call in to them, where all I received was an apology. I don't expect to hear anything further but if I do I will modify this feedack

28/11/2025: This place used to be amazing… but the last two orders have been a real letdown. The rice is soggy, definitely not fried, the chicken balls have lost their crunch, and even the curry sauce tastes different. I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time, but I’ve never been this disappointed. Unfortunately, this will be my last time ordering from here.

20/02/2026: Constantly cold deliveries, time after time. Regardless of the day or time delivery will arrive cold - drivers get lost or typically have multiple deliveries and end up with stone cold pizza. The store response is to take your number and call you back….I’ll be dead cold before I hear back from them it seems too

18/01/2026: I have had the worse experience ever at this place. Ordered food for collection, vegetarian, when we arrived home a pepperoni pizza. Called to let them know and a supervisor said that we had to pay for the new pizza to be delivered. After arguing the point he let it go. 10 minutes later he said the pizza was out for delivery, 30 minutes later my partner rang him back and said that we should have gotten it already. The pizza arrived during the call stone cold and they wanted the incorrect pizza back. The entire time he was rude to us all and confrontational. We rang back to speak to a senior manager who was shocked by his actions and demeanour. We demanded a full refund and will not be returning

24/01/2026: Very poor experience. We were given a voucher as a gift to use at this restaurant. We arrived to the Gibson at 7.45 for our reservation at that time - got seated etc. We got our menus and waited for someone to come back to take our order or even drinks order. We had to get someone’s attention (at this stage it was after 8pm). She came back to us and asked us if we wanted “the good news or the bad news”. She told us the bad news was the kitchen is now closed (??) so we can’t order but she can bring us to the bar and we can use our voucher there. I told her i thought this was absolutely outrageous because someone just sat us down and never told us about having to order before 8, nor did anyone try to get our order in before the deadline, and she said she agreed with me but that she wasn’t the person who greeted us at the start. Food in the bar was fine. We eventually got our first drink at 8.30 - 45 mins after we arrived. When the bill came they knew nothing about our gift voucher which we handed to the initial lady, and they had to go searching around for her and the voucher. We couldn’t help but laugh at how poorly this night had gone. If you’re getting dinner in the area before a concert, would recommend Ruby’s, the Mayson or Cill Airne over this establishment.

11/01/2026: Poorly prepared steak and hygiene issues. Ordered a medium-rare steak and received it medium-well, clearly overcooked on a dirty grill with burnt residue. Replacement arrived 15 minutes later and was still wrong, medium to medium-well, while the other person's food was getting cold so she had to eat alone. For the price, the quality is not acceptable. You can get better steak elsewhere in town, even for less. Chips were cold, and the vinegar bottle was dirty with a fly inside. Yes, a fly inside. Disgusting. What i received here i can make at home on any frying pan. When we arrived, the tables were messy and we were seated anyway. During our entire stay, staff continued setting up around us, constantly moving tables, chairs, and walking by. For a restaurant at this price level, everything should be ready before guests arrive. The constant movement made the experience uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. I took a few weeks to write this review to make sure I wasn't doing it out of anger, but the food was so disgusting that I can't help but feel that way again.

20/02/2026: Ordered a delivery they got the order completely wrong and the food was cold when i rang them and asked them to fix it they hung up

19/02/2026: Food was very good and its the most healthy chipper I have been to in long time and very clean

16/03/2026: It is very dry and very spicy, you can't eat it, I don't recommend it at all.

10/11/2025: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received. I placed an online order with Chef Ongar, and I believed the payment had been processed. However, the delivery driver informed me that the order was unpaid upon arrival. When I offered to complete the payment online, the driver's demeanor became unprofessional. He raised concerns about an incorrect address, despite my consistent use of my Eircode, and then entered my residence without permission. Following this incident, I contacted Chef Ongar directly to arrange online payment, which I promptly completed. During this conversation, I was informed in a threatening manner that my patronage would no longer be accepted. As a loyal customer at this address for five years, this is my first negative experience with your establishment. Consequently, I will be discontinuing my business with Chef Ongar.

04/01/2026: Great warehouse day sale today.

08/11/2025: Stopped in for food. Absolutely horrible. Place was really dirty, tables were filthy, had to ask to have it cleaned. Got some form of a ham ciabatta. It was dry and horrible. Also got sausage rolls, they could be bounced off the floor, son got spice box which was okay. Pity because the shop is fabulous but this restaurant is really bringing down the tone. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

31/12/2025: Just ordered a kebab pizza from here and the pizza was cold so called them up was so ignorant on the phone refused to change it saying if he makes another pizza it will turn out the same DO ORDER FROM HERE

01/12/2025: It used to be good, had the best chips, but they've gone downhill. The garlic sauce and pizza are good though, although dont get chicken on it because it tastes so stale and dry. Same with the beef, unfortunately the beef has been consistently tasting like fish, either poor quality or not handled well, maybe used close to expiration date. I used to love Roma, I hope they take the reviews on board and work on the quality
