The best restaurants

09/03/2025: Went in today to Macaris. Ordered three chicken filet burgers. Very disappointed. Absolutely nothing on them. Not a sauce, onions, lettuce. Nothing whatsoever on them. Surprised that they even put the fillets on them. For €19.80. Daylight robbery. RESPECT TO MACARIS!!! They kindly replied back to me this morning in regards to my review. They were very helpful and offered a refund or a new order. It was a confusion and have duly noted the issue. Thank you customer service service for dealing with this promptly. Will definitely be back.

19/10/2024: Food can be lovely when the right staff members are on, one or two staff members obviously don't want to be there & really give off that vibe,I have got chicken out of there when certain staff are there working,with the center of the chicken not properly cooked (Red in the Middle),but when the right staff are on the food is cooked properly,the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful 👍

07/03/2025: Good kebabs, good pizza. There's a friendly, generous staff and they turn around your order quickly. They have good specials and meal deals. They are one of the only take-aways that opens at noon and they offer some good lunch specials.

26/01/2025: Ordered food off their website as it said it was open. They took my money and when we went to collect they were closed and no way of contacting. They opened hours later and when I rang to get my money back the man on the phone was rude and unhelpful and told me I wasn't getting my money back. It says on Google and on the website that they are open from 12 on Sundays. Still took my money even though they were shut and didn't open for hours. No refund or any other solutions offered to me. Ridiculous

18/03/2025: Absolutely the best meal I’ve ever had, I had 2 mix doner wrap got it 2 secs after ordering and ive never had anything like it before. Soon as I ate I wanted another, unfortunately my pals wouldn’t let me go back but I would have. P.S. I’m English from London and this is the best place P.S.S don’t listen to the haters go there but only get the mix doner wraps!

18/03/2025: Wow! What can i say? 5 stars is not enough! Service was impeccable with zero waiting times despite the vast amount of hungry hippos in the shop. The atmosphere felt just like turkey, i could almost hear the waves in the ocean as i walked in, wading my way through the water to the front counter for my scrumptious chicken garlic kebab. Would absolutely recommend this place and it is a MUST-SEE sight in the humble town of Corcaigh. I thank you beyond words for your excellent service and delightful munch.

07/04/2025: The staff are fantastic but I have to say the dj on a Sunday is shocking he's that bad he just presses play on the laptop its a set play list I counted 7 people including myself asking for a song because it's all his music which is emptying the place on a Sunday asking for a song only to be told no I have a play list can't play that the place goes from lively to dead because the dj is lazy and drinking doesn't want to bother ends when he feels like and from a regular customer who put alot of money behind the bar either a group of 8 friends will no longer becoming in because it's not a good night out anymore atmosphere is dead because the dj is so bad they need to change the dj plenty of people are talking about it the staff are fantastic door staff and bar staff but dj on Sunday is ruining the entertainment for people

20/11/2024: Have gone to this cafe twice now, the food has been fine both times- nothing remarkable. What stands out to me is how unwelcoming the staff can be, specifically a small fella with glasses. I’m not expecting anything extravagant, I work in customer service myself, he just does not seem like he wants to be there at all.

25/03/2025: Just had the worst Chinese takeout ever. A smell of old frying oil pervaded everything that we ate. Chicken in black bean was boiled and rubbery, ribs black and tasteless, Chips were pre cooked and hard, chicken ball doughty, and fried rice bland and tasteless. Never again. Only went there because main Chinese restaurant in town was closed. Ugh.

07/02/2025: To date I have had no complaints, the food has always been very nice but this evening after complaining about some food we ordered last week the young lady's attitude was disgraceful, I expected her to replace the food that I binned, she didn't. They have lost our business.

16/04/2025: The burger wasn’t that great, but the fact that you can customise it with lots of toppings at no extra charge is a big plus. I had a small cheeseburger and small fries definitely go for the small fries if you're on your own, they’re nowhere near small! The complimentary and unlimited peanuts they offer are also a nice touch. Basically a little expensier and better version of your regular fast food chains

19/04/2025: Pizza was so dry and wasn't satisfied at all pepperoni was not pepperoni it looked like rashers but in tiny circles wouldn't recommend

19/04/2025: This experience was very very disheartening I was appalled with the quality of the food. The service was shocking and rude they forgot half! Of my order. Would not recommend.

21/03/2025: Third time getting this chipper in the past month and third time there has been a problem. First was an easy order asked for two battered sausages a burger and chip, waitied a half an hour in the take away for them to ask me what did I order and have to wait another 20 for it, second was I went in again and asked for two smoked cod and chips they said they’d only one so I got a burger with the instructions of just cheese ketchup and bacon on it only to get into the car to realise the burger was full of onions mayo lettuce everythjng I didn’t want with the other surprise of a fresh cod not battered so had to go back in re order everything with all turned out to be a two hour ordeal from start to finish, then tonight said I’d go for delivery two smoked cod and chips and two cans of coke to have one fresh cod and one smoked turn up to the door, the two guys behind the counter are absolute morons that don’t know they’re ass from their elbow and shoulder both get better English lessons or hearing aids along with glasses and a bottle of cop on. The food is somewhat passable but as for anything else about the place I would never recommend anyone eat from here go to the Marian or Roberto’s where you get friendly staff nice food and the correct order.

18/03/2025: Always my go to for a quick and delicious takeaway. Everything I've ordered so far has been top notch, and imo best battered sausage ya can get in town. The staff are super nice as well. Will always recommend Ballybricken

02/02/2025: Got over charged for our food and the chicken chow mein was absolutely vile. The sauce was like water and the chicken was like rubber with pieces of tinned sweetcorn instead of baby corn. Vile.

17/03/2025: The best bag of chips I've had in a long time and I was served by a very nice friendly lady. I will definitely be back again to try some more food from their extensive menu.

12/02/2025: What happened the chicken burgers here? They're literally the same size as a bunburger now but with the price tag of a quarter pounder. No thanks €5.50 for a chicken burger not much bigger than a chicken Nugget! As for the fella who works there, not once has he ever got the order right. Check before you leave cos 9 times out 10 you will have to go back.

18/01/2025: Got a takeaway last evening it was terrible if I took the chicken and the beef a churisher would not break them I won't be goin there again for the prices they charge you would want to be able to eat it

21/02/2025: Food was lovely with previous owner's, and I have to say I taught it got better with the new owner's, very tasty, that is, when they get your order correct, 2 delivery's in a row now, they sent out a munchie box with no seasoning at all, very bland and tasteless, we ordered online and stated clearly to make sure it had plenty of seasoning, please try and get your customers orders correct, you obviously need someone who can read English and understand the orders, they did offer to send a free one the next time we order, which is something I suppose, I guess we will have to wait and see if the seasoning is included, it's not a munchie box without seasoning in my opinion unless that's what your into.....🤦 i will have no problem upgrading my review in time if our orders are as placed, thanks
