The best restaurants

22/02/2025: Ordered here tonight ( 22/02/25 ) and I have to say , it was the worst chipper experience I've ever had . The food was pre-prepared and must have been sitting on the shelf for an hour before I got it . The chips were both greasy and soggy AND crispy I still have no idea how they managed to do that . As for the so called hot dog ...... an absolute disgrace to the word food , the " hot dog " if you could call it that was seemingly just 2 sausages , no bun or anything like you'd be used to from a chipper , just in burnt baguette. this was the cheapest of the cheap "hot dog " probably cost them less than 50 cent to make , I couldn't even eat it , I took a bite and the rest of it found a bin pretty quick . And then I'll discuss the fact that the baguette is burnt to a crisps and the “hot dogs” (2 mingy sausages) are smothered in red sauce. absolute scammers in this food outlet , I'd avoid like the plague if you value honesty and good food . 13/04/2025: Never got to the point of eating. The smell of cigarette smoke and what had to be the summoning of a gastric demon 20 feet from the entrance to the bathroom had us gagging so hard we couldn't stay to even try the food. Didn't trust it.

05/03/2025: Great place, fantastic food and the staff are so very friendly. Location couldn't be better, you're hiden in plain sight, walking distance to everything Galway City has to offer.

13/01/2025: Visited there several times now and very time we got quality service and food. Red sauce Pasta is exceptional here and we get same taste every time. Hardworking team and especially the person taking orders always look after.

03/04/2025: Very good food, i noticed many bad reviews mostly about the price being too high, if people complain about it being too much they should go to the local chippers. Very good service and interior.

26/01/2025: I ordered a takeaway tonight, it arrived one hour after ordering ( that was not the problem) I understand that they were very busy. The guy taking the order couldn’t have been nicer he was extremely polite and friendly, however when the food arrived it was lukewarm the temperature that you would feed to a baby! When I rang to inform the restaurant that the food was lukewarm, I was put on to a Chinese man that was extremely rude,he asked me what I wanted him to do about it! I informed him that I wasnt looking for a freebie and that I just wanted to let them know that the food was cold and that maybe I was the last on the delivery list ( I live 10 minutes away from the shop ) and to my utter shock and disbelief he said “ I don’t believe you,you must be lying! ) Unbelievable!!! Never again. Back to Bennys for me.

18/01/2025: Food was really good . Especially the ribs but it's impossible to get in contact with the restaurant Our food took over 2 hours to get here.

27/12/2024: Really disappointing when you spend 63 euro on a takeaway and you don’t receive the full order. Tried calling multiple times to resolve the issue but did not get an answer. Also received garlic mayo that seems to be out of date (ordered on the 27th).

11/01/2025: Fourth floor study hall worker, Caoimhe Ní Mhaicín, racial discrimination, abuse of rights. On Saturday, we were studying in the self-study room we had already booked. However, when we exceeded the appointment time and forgot to renew the reservation next period of time, she came through the door and yelled at us angrily, saying we would be kicked out if anyone else had booked it. I explained that we had forgotten to rebook because we were focused on our studies, and it was a very quiet Saturday, we weren’t disturbing anyone. (We would have left if someone else had booked.) This worker could have reminded us to renew the appointment calmly, rather than yelling at us Asian students with such an aggressive attitude, which made us feel disrespected and aggrieved. I feel disappointed and indignant that NCI employs such a rude and impolite staff member. I hope NCI will address this issue and talk to this employee about her discriminatory behavior.

18/01/2025: The food here used to be nice but the last year it’s gone downhill big time. It’s consistently bad. Beef is like chewing on a flip flop, it’s not edible. Salt/chilli chicken is dry, stringy and has a leather like consistency. It’s absolutely poisoned with salt. Chips are like empty sleeping bags - how hard is it to do descent chips! Rice is half descent, that’s about it. I dunno how they can get so much wrong, brutal food… Last time we buy anything from here

16/11/2024: Just got a delivery of a chicken snackbox and fresh cod. Luke warm. Think the chips were frozen chips cooked. Pure MUCK.

12/02/2025: Just had a coffee. Hate leaving bad reviews as the staff were very nice but god. Threw it in the bin. Dire.
