The best restaurants

01/10/2024: Placed the order at 19:06, didnt receive until 9:05pm restraunt rang me at 8 to say he will be there in 25 mins, had to ring back well after 25 mins for an update, said he was on the way. Had to ring 2 more times for an update. It takes 14 mins to drive from where we live to the restraunt, it took him way longer than that..The only reason we ordered from here was because our usual chinese was closed due to electricity outage. When the food came we were tired & fed up at this stage and didnt even want to eat it when it came. For 36 euro for a 10inch spicy box, sauce and rice, the delivery time is shocking. I've read other reviews and seems to be a common issue with this place! The food tastes nice and decent enough, just the delivery time was really bad

13/08/2024: amazing tasting food lad honestly hit the spot perfectly and great portions and that curry sauce is to die for. waiter was lovely and so polite and helpful.

30/12/2024: ¡Increíble pizza! Fui en familia esta noche y fue una de las mejores comidas italianas que he probado fuera de Italia. Lugar muy ocupado, así que sin duda necesitaría una recomendación. Genial con niños también. Sin duda volvería la próxima vez que esté en Galway.

23/12/2024: Cenamos en este restaurante, y aunque no teníamos reserva, nos hicieron esperar unos minutos, en los que nos ofrecieron un vino. El servicio fue genial, con personal amable. La pizza y la pasta sabía bien y tenía ingredientes de buena calidad, con precios correctos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante.

30/11/2024: We got meal deal 1 and 2, good value as you get small curry sauce and drink included. But the chicken balls and onion rings had so much batter and barely any chicken or onion in them, and the chips were a bit dried out, and curry sauce was not spicy, it was a bit sweet. Also they only accept cash, no card payment.

16/11/2024: This place is back in the 19th century does not take debit or credit cards. Don't trust cash only businesses, easy way ro cook the books. Not the first Chinese takeaway I have come across doing this

11/11/2024: Mediocre food and awful delivery times for very high prices, best avoided.

27/10/2024: Noticeably worse quality food. Chicken was over cooked. Dieps take on sweep and soure was very very poor. Inedible. Binned it

17/07/2024: Must say new chef isn’t as good as the old one, as all the flavorings are very much different too the old ones and it as if they are trying too match the old recipes but yet failed the food was great when they had the old owners not anymore

28/06/2024: i got a Munchy box as i usually do, i’ve always loved the munchy boxes and got them loads but recently they have down graded , the spice is difference , the cheese rolls are different and so is the sweet and sour and curry sauce. The old ones were more appetising too eat unlike the new ones , they now aren’t just as nice with odd flavouring . Many people i know have given out and complained about the new tastes. Chinatown is usually very good so idk what’s happening with the new bad flavouring , ye should have just kept it all the same .

27/11/2024: They change the menus every day. But the price is not too expensive. The amazing thing is that this is the best and healthy food I found at UCD! I love them so so much!

01/12/2024: Visited there recently. Great location. Unfortunately the guy forgot to fill my order and then looked at me blankly when I asked where my coffee was. The toilets could do with a more regular clean in the mornings.

26/11/2024: I ordered a special seasonal drink from an advertisement on the screen behind the counter. The lady taking my order clarified that I meant that one and I said yes. What I received was a completely different drink just the same flavour. I googled it to make sure I was correct and asked for it to be remade. The barista then asked the lady who took my order how to make that drink as she didn't know. Slightly frustrating service when ordering from the menu as I think staff should know how to make all drinks and know the difference between them. But unfortunately even when my drink was remade it was SO overly sweet and burnt tasting. I couldn't even drink half of it

22/10/2024: At one stage, in day long gone, the food here was good, those days are apparently long gone. A tiny portion, with hard and overcooked chicken, no sauce on the sweet and sour, pork ribs that we're all sinew (and only 3 tiny ribs in a portion). This is my sign to stop eating bad food I think, but it's your sign to not eat here.

11/10/2024: I used to go here alot in the past..rang ahead and picked up takeaway..I must say the chicken was inedible bland and cold and the portion was very small..I won't be returning here and was very disappointed with the quality of the food overall.

12/01/2025: Lovely cosy restaurant which is nicely decorated . Food was very good however slightly on the pricier side for sitting in . Staff were friendly . We visited during a quiet time so it was only us in the restaurant. Lovely and peaceful. Will definitely visit again .

30/11/2024: We had the spice box which I know is spiced but this one they must have put whole tub of chilli's on it as it was un eatable and the chicken wigs where over done and chips where soggy A few weeks back we got the same and the whole thing was way over done and the chips must have been cooked about 10 times Am not one to complain or moan but have to this time WILL NOT BE BACK

18/12/2024: The new stuffing burger is not great. It's a tad tacky. Otherwise everything else was fine.

17/12/2024: Definitely the worst KFC in the country, kept waiting in the drive tru for 35mins even though was only two cars ahead , plus the restaurant was relatively empty , the only food that seemed to be actually leaving the building was the deliveries .

13/01/2025: The best pizza in town! Portions are big, chips bags are filled to the top!!!

15/12/2024: Ordered taco chips from here, highly recommend, it was filled to the very top!! Really great food

22/11/2024: Staff at the counter very rude. I ordered doner kebab tray with extra grilled for 2.99 euro and i got 4 Small pieces of chicken. You can see it on the picture (5 pieces on the lid). I don't recommend

29/09/2024: Food was always good but they possibly changed their supplier lately for bacon ect. As its Salted bacon now and not as nice as before but having said that it's still good and the monthly special offers are great! Kids at the store bring a great atmosphere only thing is it's slightly cold sometimes and the Internet is blocked

02/01/2025: Tiny portions ,don't go near the meal deals as they are a complete rip off. Food wasn't even nice the bit they gave

30/12/2024: Part of order was missing and when I rang I was told it would be delivered and I had to pay the delivery fee,wouldn't go near them as they obviously don't care about the customer.

26/11/2024: The staff are very friendly and helpful and efficient. The prices are very expensive, I had a breakfast sandwich and a coffee and it was 11.95 euros . I will not be having it again. 10 euros would have been enough

07/12/2024: This place has completely gone down hill. They never have any toppings in stock and if you're desperate enough to go through with the order, they deliver an ice cold pizza. Staff are so ignorant too.
