The best restaurants

16/01/2025: I travelled up from Clare to do a TY Ball gig last night upon arrival I was met by an absolute gentleman of a man, after a long journey up he went out of his way to help me load in the gear to the venue, checked up on me most of the night and made everyone feel safe and comfortable, nothing was a fuss for him he went out of his way to help in anyway he could, obliged to help take the gear down and put it in the van. I have done gigs in 100s of hotels and I have never met someone like him, an absolute asset to your team at Lawlors. What was probably a small gesture for the common person it made a lasting impression on me. A pleasure to deal with. Again I didn’t get his name but he does the Maintenance in the hotel. Thank you

07/01/2025: Stayed here Friday and Saturday of last weekend having previously stayed here some years ago. Shocking to see a homely place gone so run down. The room was dusty all over, disgusting carpet and a draft in the window frame like a vortex , had to shove a towel and the curtains against it. Came back from the lovely, lively town at 12.45am and couldn't get in the hotel for 7mins while we waited for a rude language using flea of a night porter. €270 badly spent. Dungarvan is a great town but needs another affordable hotel badly. Won't be back to this one.

18/12/2024: They always send me the wrong order on deliveroo and they sent maminha ou contra file as a picanha

30/11/2024: The food is great, I ordered an onion picanha takeaway and it was great.

30/12/2024: was reccommed to go here spent over 30 euro on 2 kebabs was well disappointed. asked for mixed kebabs. no chicken and about 5 pieces of kebab no chilli sauce what a waste of money... ABSOLUTE CON MAN STAY AWAY..

11/12/2024: I remember when it was the beat Kebab in Dublin ..you’ll get a better kebab in your local chipper now.

28/12/2024: Mid food, they forgot multiple items they charged us and we waited abismally long for the order Not coming back

28/12/2024: First time ordering, we spent over 110€, they forgot 2 items worth almost 15€, they dont answer the phone and they dont have the option to make a complaint on the app. Never again.

12/01/2025: Just got a takeaway delivered from Hong Kee and it’s so good! Huge portions and really delicious. We got spice bags with some sides and extra sauces, including a veggie tofu option for one of the spice bags, which few places offer. Everything was tasty and we’d definitely recommend. Delivery was friendly and they delivered to our hotel.

11/12/2024: Ordered from here Fri 8.11.24. Took 2 hours to deliver. Food arrived cold. Wrong toppings on the burgers. They were closed by the time the food arrived. Pretty poor. We contacted them highlighting it. No response. Won’t be returning.

23/11/2024: I ordered two burgers from the restaurant on Deliveroo. It arrived a little late because of the storm, but they didn’t give up, and I’m just glad I didn’t cancel! The fries are crunchy, and the burger is fresh and tastes amazing. I will definitely order again and highly recommend.

20/12/2024: My son was due a refund for food they could not deliver, he called them daily and got nowhere with them, eventually my wife had to personally visit the chipper to get his money back two weeks later. The manager kept talking over her and was extremely rude and obnoxious. Nasty crowd in this chipper, avoid avoid avoid!

17/11/2024: My daughter ordered a meal and extra and they forgot part of it so I ring to explain to nice girl on phone and she asked for it to be sent but the rude people running the place didn't bother doing it never told drivers to come back with the items and seen many comments here it's not the 1st time or even 2nd 3rd time for us and same with others total lack of respect for people who order and even when I've been in shop there's a horrible atmosphere

13/07/2024: Christ stopped at Eboli. Culture stopped at the door to the pub. Food stopped at the microwave. Cleaning stopped at the bar. The bar lady, God bless her, had never heard of rosé wine. "We have red or white" I would prefer rosé. "What is rosé?" It's kind of halfway between red and white. "No, we don't have that". Children stopped in front of the big screen TV watching football, at least half a team's worth. Apart from that, happy donkeys (not actually a dish on the menu by the way).

24/06/2024: No locks on the toilet door which is bizarre, got a carvery to take away and was given my food on children's paper party plates covered in foil Frozen veg and way seemed like microwave beef and chicken Charged 12.50 for a plate of frozen chips and a couple goujons for a kid madness for a small town Go to Leitrim town or Carrick

28/12/2024: No slice of lemon, with fish and chips. The fish was from the fridge freezer. It would be nicer if it had fresh fish.

25/11/2024: Did not deliver my order & told me to piss off they were to busy when I complained.

05/01/2025: 1hr 15mins late for delivery. Food was soggy when delivered. Avoid.

04/12/2024: Large spice bags are amazing, the come with mini spring rolls that are just divine

21/09/2024: Food was bad. Service was shocking. Staff are rude, food is slow and not very nice. We had takeaway pizza one night and the staff were rude and slow. Dinner the next night and the staff were so terrible. I can't stress enough how bad this place is

29/07/2024: Was there for a christening it was a big party of us 20 + service was terrible and the attitude of some of the young staff was dreadful. My main course just came with mash gravy and chicken no veg. I was told it is a one man show and we always serve the veg 15 min after. I never heard anything so ridiculous in my life But the other mains were served with veg others got their food maybe 20 to 30 mins after others had eaten. It was a circus and I will never return. Very unprofessional and worst of all so rude

15/01/2025: Had a pizza here and it was amazing! Francesco is very friendly and helpful, made sure I was happy with everything from start to finish and even offered some great suggestions. Would highly recommend 😋

14/01/2025: When a Neapolitan wants to warm her heart in Dublin, she feels at home in this pizzeria...delicious pizza, light dough, stringy mozzarella, top quality products but above all professionalism and friendliness of the staff, especially Francesco...pizza chef exceptional person who knows how to make you feel at home with his affability, kindness and skill... you have won us over, we will return again to eat your excellent 🍕

16/12/2024: Dogs should not be allowed inside!!! Have you ever thought about the people who are allergic to dogs or simply don’t like dogs in their presence. Trying to study for my exams here with my cup of coffee as I usually do and multiple big dogs are sniffing my belongings, aggressively shaking ?? Don’t even know if they are clean or not. Dogs in a coffee shop is simply unhygienic whether they are on a leash or not, I simply disagree with the fact of people letting their dogs in this environment

14/11/2024: Went through the drive thru today (14/11/24) and had such a lovely experience. Drove right past the "order here" sign and the lovely person inside was so polite and patient and kind. I genuinely can't get over how helpful she was! I wasnt sure what to order ( i know i was the nightmare customer here) and was panicking so told her kind of what I wanted and my dietary requirement and she was more than happy to help and even told me of things I didn't know Starbucks had (dairy free cream has never been offered to me before, I use usually get a glass eyed shrug when I ask for dairy free alternatives). She has dyed red hair and is such a beautiful kind and caring person and deserves a raise. Honestly she made the 8euro coffee cost not hurt my soul as much. 10/10

07/01/2025: Lovely fried rice, spice bag and sides. This place is great once you have found a few favourites on the menu. Anytime I need a quick hot and nice meal I order the chicken fried rice from here.

02/01/2025: Our favourite Chinese in the Tallaght/Citywest/Saggart/Rathcoole area! The food we've tried has all been amazing. Service is fast and friendly and always 100% correct. I recommend trying the chicken cheese rolls and crispy wontons- SO good!
