The best restaurants

16/06/2025: We stayed here for 2 nights and thought the hotel was great.On our Ireland trip we stayed at 6 hotels and this hotel definitely had the best bar of them all and the outdoor seating area is fantastic.The rooms were good if a little dated but that didn't spoil the experience at all and found the bed very comfy.we both enjoyed the breakfast here and the staff were also fantastic.i would definitely stop here again

20/04/2025: My husband and I stayed at the West County Hotel last week. Our experience was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their service was great! We had breakfast in the restaurant in the mornings. The food was tasty, with a wide range of choice to pick from. Our room was cozy and warm, with a large, comfortable double bed. Everything was clean and well-kept. In addition to that, the hotel is located 5 minutes away from town. It is local and everything is within reach. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a few days away, to relax and enjoy a holiday!

07/06/2025: Ordered spring rolls tonight before 7pm (Saturday evening) and arranged to collect them as it would be quicker than a delivery. However, when I arrived home I discovered they were stone cold and stuck to the bags as if they'd been lying in a their bags for quite some time and I was no more than five minutes coming home with them so they should have been piping hot. Very disappointing given how expensive they are!

03/07/2025: An ideal place for shopping and for a picnic. The grocery store is on the lower floor. This is where you will purchase all that you need for a picnic. The restaurant is on the top floor. This is where you will purchase a coffee or a baked good or a soup. Combine your purchase from the grocery store with a beverage and enjoy the view down below, but keep an eye out for the gulls.

22/06/2025: I waited 45 mins for some chocolate chip cookies to be wrapped after the guy told me that it would be 20 that they were cooling. Very unhappy and still hungry.

14/04/2025: The staff named Prasanna was really rude to my daughter,she refused to give the HSE discount,asked her if she was employed who was only 13 yrs old,she had a very bad attitude towards her,this isn't the first time,this had happened multiple times in the store.

23/02/2025: Absolutely horrible starters was ok mains the duck was like rubber no taste the curry was like water and the chicken was black we eat it one hour ago and the three of us have stomach aches I definitely do not recommend and I would advise anyone to stay far away it’s dirt and a rip off if you could eat it you would not mind the price but we didn’t touch the duck or chicken and still got charged told them it was bad and for no satisfaction

19/04/2025: I had a very disappointing experience with the Peony Inn today. I placed an order online for delivery, and the website charged me €2.50 for delivery. Shortly after, I received a call from a staff member (Irish woman) who was extremely rude. She told me there's "no way" it would cost that little to deliver and demanded an extra €10 to be paid in cash or via Revolut. When I explained that I was simply charged what the online system showed, she insisted I should have known better because I had ordered before. For the record, my previous order was for collection, not delivery. Mistakes can happen, but the way I was spoken to was completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. I ended up cancelling the order because I wasn't comfortable proceeding after how I was spoken to. It’s unfortunate because I used to enjoy ordering from here, but I won’t be returning after this experience.

08/02/2025: Absolute scum bags. Took money off us but no food arrived and they won’t answer the phone. They will answer the door tomoro … not by choice

10/03/2025: Ordered a Thai Green Chicken curry, it was absolutely awful, the sauce was a bland yellow watery substance, the chicken was like rubber, called to complain, they offered to send another meal of my choice, which they did, which was a slight improvement 😡

22/03/2025: A great place to go get a drink and the wait for the drink is about 5mins or less is cost €5-€10 it is also very clean not really any dirt in the place

29/05/2025: Excellent coffee shop in the upper area of the Pavillions close to the cinema. Service is always on point and staff are friendly and welcoming. Have some great sandwiches available, great pastries and thoroughly delicious coffees. This is well worth a visit.

24/05/2025: Very busy and crowded. Asked for vanilla in my coffee and paid extra 70c for it but never got it in my coffee. Table was dirty and staff unfriendly. Coffe was nice but it needs more food options too.

21/02/2025: Food was lovely with previous owner's, and I have to say I taught it got better with the new owner's, very tasty, that is, when they get your order correct, 2 delivery's in a row now, they sent out a munchie box with no seasoning at all, very bland and tasteless, we ordered online and stated clearly to make sure it had plenty of seasoning, please try and get your customers orders correct, you obviously need someone who can read English and understand the orders, they did offer to send a free one the next time we order, which is something I suppose, I guess we will have to wait and see if the seasoning is included, it's not a munchie box without seasoning in my opinion unless that's what your into.....🤦 i will have no problem upgrading my review in time if our orders are as placed, thanks

01/06/2025: I ordered the ham and mushroom pizza, and it came with literally just 4 slices of ham and about 10 pieces of mushrooms. The dough is good and the staff is friendly, but for the price, I expected a lot more topping. In my opinion, it’s not worth the price.

29/05/2025: Worst pizza I ever tasted in my life. Rather buy a frozen one from Lidl. Exceptionally awful. Avoid this place.

21/05/2025: I've been coming here for 4 years about 3 or 4 times a week, the staff here are lovely and so kind. Today there's been a violent incident that the security guard yelled at a young mother. This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.

09/12/2024: got a chicken burger meal, the chips were half cooked and burger was clearly made in a rush. After receiving my order i asked for a garlic dip, i got sighed at and treated with nothing only pure ignorance from the woman. After the big deal made the garlic sauce was rotten too. wouldn’t recommend eating from this takeaway

26/11/2024: I couldn't eat the doner kebab, it just tasted SO bad. Honestly this was the worst kebab i've ever experienced. I will never come back here again!

25/03/2025: I would like to express my gratitude to the lady in O'Reillys fish and chips in Glanmire, who went went above and beyond on Saturday night just gone. I have a medical condition and mobilise with crutches, she offered to bring my phone order out to the car when it was ready,rather than having me struggle. Once again thank you for your kindness, 5* great food, great staff, a credit to the O'Reilly team.

01/02/2025: the drinks were not delivered..... and I didn't even receive the food I ordered which was chicken and I received 3 small pieces of fish..... and the joke of the night was the onion rings which only came in 3 units and were wilted and tasteless and super white..... horrible.... first and last time......
