The best restaurants

22/11/2025: It’s been a long time since 8 of us went in together and all got awful food but that happened here today The food was atrocious and the place was absolutely freezing If I could give a zero star review I would Avoid and go elsewhere

07/11/2025: I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Very overpriced for what you get, food wasn’t great at all. Extremely dated inside. The only positive was the staff were really nice.

01/10/2025: I bought battered sausage and batter burger and chips the batter was still raw and undercooked the pork sausage and burger were stale the meat smelled rotten

31/07/2025: The chipper is by no means bad and I come here from time to time but I was here recently and I have say the service left me annoyed and feeling short changed. The price advertised for a burger and chip was €6.95 and when I handed in my €10 the change I was given was €3. I know its only 5 cents but if their prices say €6.95 I expect €3.05 back. I doubt I would have been charged anything more than €6.95 if I had used my debit card. Giving your customers their correct change matters!! The other thing that annoyed me, and while I was ok with the outcome, I found the lack of asking problematic. I personally enjoy salt and vinegar on my chips however, I know a lot of people don't. When the staff member was serving the customer ahead of me he poured the batch of chips into the tray and asked the customer ahead if they wanted salt and vinegar to which they said yes, the staff member proceeded to dress the chips accordingly and served them. Then when it was my turn the staff member just bagged the remaining chips in the tray and gave them to me without asking if I wanted salt and vinegar or not. As I said, it made no difference as I personally like salt and vinegar however, many people don't and I found this to be unprofessional. I would suggest that the owner and staff need to review their business practices.

24/09/2025: Usually don’t leave a review, but got a breast and a bun and it was cold inside, you could tell it was sitting there for a while. I live around the corner so didn’t expect it to be like that when I got home (5 mins) Disappointed because it’s usually good

17/09/2025: Ordered food tonight said on just eat would be delivered in 45 mins but came with 25 mins to spare so was pleasantly surprised. Ferro rocher milkshake seems to be made with ferro flavoured sauce rather thank ferros themselves which for €4.50 doesn’t seem worth it but flavour itself was good also an up charge of €.50 cent for cream ontop so quiet expensive. Ordered meal for one which was a personal pizza and topped fries. The pizza itself was about the size of your hand enough for me taste was nice and topping were fresh but it could’ve been a bit hotter. The “loaded zingy taco fries” was just plain chips drenched in definitely not taco sauce more of an Indian spiced mayo and no mince. Once again taste was ok but not really as advertised. Altogether the meal was fulfilling, nothing extraordinary for a personal pizza “loaded fries” and a sprite and milkshake was €23 on just eat with delivery so in today’s economy I suppose it’s value for money.

17/10/2025: Very suspicious driver. Made order on Uber Eats for pizza as surprise for the kids, paid online because there is no option for cash, so order would not have been made - nevermind delivered otherwise and driver is aware of this. Bell rang, I sent my 15 year old son down to the door. He was down there ages and I heard him asking my son loads of questions. Came up with the pizza, I looked out the window 5 minutes later and the driver was still parked outside my door. A few minutes passes and the doorbell goes again, I asked my son to pick up the mic and see what he wanted. Driver says to my son can you come back down the pizza isn't paid for. My son says it was, he says again you need to come back down the food isn't paid for. The word PAID in big capital letters is written on the sticker of the pizza box, right beside the order that he read back word for word to my child as I was listening, so he clearly knew it was paid for. I thought this was very suspicious, almost like he thought my child was home alone and tried to have him reopen the door for whatever reason. Why sit outside in the car for ages and then come back to say it wasn't paid, (even though it was), if it wasn't surely he would have said it to him before handing the food over. As I said they do not have the option to pay cash on Uber Eats, it's card only. Rang the shop, the first person said sorry about that we see that you've paid and they would contact the driver, second time I rang to make a complaint they couldn't care less. Be very careful of letting your kids order from here if they are home alone. If I wasn't here I dread to think what would have happened. Very scary experience.

04/05/2025: The worst kebab I've ever seen in my life , nothing in it and the fish was over done with hard batter, with the smallest bag of chips in the world ......never again , don't go there whatever you do !

04/05/2025: This was our first time having food from this place . We got a delivery and it was the worst food we ever got 😒 cost us 25e for fish and chips and a kebab. My dog 🐕 would of not eaten it . We had to throw it out . Please stay away 🙏 and don't waste your money . Thanks 👍

21/09/2025: Rang to order as they had no option for big bottles of drink on the app. Guy on the phone hardly spoke English. Very hard to explain why I was calling instead of ordering online like I usually do. Donar kebab had Frank's hot sauce on it which I hate. The smoked cod had barley any fish and the batter wasn't crispy it was soggy and disgusting. The taco chips had mushrooms and big chunks of onion which my son hates and wouldn't eat, dunno why you'd put mushrooms and onion in a taco chip. Finally, disappointed the garlic sauce has changed, was my favourite garlic mayo in clondalkin. Sorry to say I won't be ordering here again.

15/12/2025: Shocking hotel when it comes to discrimination. Especially from a particular receptionist

15/12/2025: Absolutely appalling experience. My pregnant wife, two children, and I were refused food service due to clear racial discrimination (we are Travellers). We were forced to eat outside like second-class citizens. ​The doorman, Kazeem, was particularly racist and a key part of our humiliating refusal. We felt deeply embarrassed and degraded. ​Avoid this hotel at all costs. The discrimination is shocking and unacceptable.

16/10/2025: Very poor service, rude young lady at the cashier, errors in my order and my coffee tasted burnt..

29/05/2025: Excellent coffee shop in the upper area of the Pavillions close to the cinema. Service is always on point and staff are friendly and welcoming. Have some great sandwiches available, great pastries and thoroughly delicious coffees. This is well worth a visit.

20/08/2025: That was my last trip to this maxol. I get charged a different price every single time for a salad roll but it's usually between 3.70-4.50 mark which is fine. 5.05 this time, no meat! One sticker says 4.30 and an extra sticker 0.75 for an (extra filling)? That's me done here.

02/08/2025: Used to be able to order delivery in Midleton. Now, after phoning in and asking why my adress isn't accepted... I am outside delivery range... Strange...because I'm 4mins away from the shop according to Google Maps.

07/10/2025: I bought a charger which didn’t work with my plug. I went to return it the next day, bringing the plug with me. The man tried charging himself and could see very well that it wouldn’t work. Instead of offering a refund or replacement, he just shouted at me. Definitely will not be going again

03/08/2025: A very unfriendly staff member at the bar claimed to be the owner that evening and made a group of female guests feel visibly uncomfortable. When confronted, he attempted to downplay the incident. We’re placing this place on our no-return list.

03/08/2025: I’m being 100% honest review here guys but lame experience, the aesthetic of the pub is cool and stylish but the owner is extremely rude and really upset me and my sister when my sister was ordering she was met with unnecessary comments and my sister asked for a drink he responded to her “you don’t need to shout at me I’m the owner” and told her “you probably don’t go out much do you?” also corrected her when she said rum and coke and said “oh so a Captain Morgan’s and a Diet Coke?” to put her on the spot all she wanted was her drink. Screw this place completely uncalled for behaviour we left after this incident. Never again! 👎
