The Oakroom Restaurant
17/08/2025: A fantastic place to eat, especially for breakfast or lunch. We've been coming here for the last 10 years every 6 months or so, on our trips to Kerry. The food is always so fresh and they update the menu regularly so always something different. The Buddha bowl and prawn tostada on our last trip was delicious. Good vegetarian options are always available. Price is relatively good and the service is always great. We'll be back again soon 👍
24/06/2025: Nice food! I Went there for lunch with my partner. We both enjoyed it! The food was great, the place had a good atmosphere.

23/05/2025: From ordering to the delivery 1h 15mins. A bit ridiculous for a Chinese takeaway.. Originally showed on the app as delivered at 7.10pm when in fact it was either still in transit or forgotten about. As I ordered through the justeat, at least I could get just eats help and suddenly magically it updated app to inform that there's a delivery delay. Finally got my food at 7.35pm after ordering it at 6.12pm. Food itself is nice, but I'd prefer to have it still hot when delivered rather than lukewarm..

06/08/2025: We arrived at the gates of this restaurant today 6th Aug to find the gates locked and 2 other cars there as well. The sign said Open but there was no answer when we rang it.
V poor indeed. Should have sign saying closed, Also website should say closed!
Went to pub called Cookes in Canagh on Athy Rd and had a delicious lunch!
13/07/2025: I was in the restaurant on Saturday 12th July with friends all was great until the waitresses left around 1.30 we were getting served by a lovely young lady but then the girls disappeared and only two men left .restaurant got busy and not enough waitress|waiters on ..food was amazing but need more staff

01/08/2025: Honestly I come here because I want to secure a good coffee. I bought a normal latte and sandwich, sandwich nothing special but coffee was really bad, I am barista and I know when the coffee is being burned and that was totally the case, too hot and the milk too, not a proper Starbucks coffee at all.
01/08/2025: The coffee was awful, and they even charged me for a large coffee when I ordered a small one. Very disappointed.

17/05/2025: Woman at counter very rude and then to spend nearly 30 euro and be asked for 2.80 for prawn crackers 😂 food wasn’t even edible curry sauce so tick everything about it was just disgusting start to finish
05/03/2025: Have lost track of how many years my family have been using the BQ house. Every family event such as birthdays etc we’d order from here. Never disappointed, portion sizes are always perfect, good quality, arrives on time, hot and ready to eat. Only downside is that it’s cash only but that’s easily forgiven by the taste.

I used to be a regular at Mizzonis, but my recent experience was appalling. The service was incredibly rude, and to top it off, I found a maggot in my pizza. I'm completely disgusted and will never be returning. Avoid this place!
16/08/2025: Very disappointed, spent 90€ on order as my family came to me, doner kebab, good spices but burned and very dry, chicken kebab very salty, missing 2 sauces, good points are pizza, overall for money spent, not recommended.

21/05/2025: I've been coming here for 4 years about 3 or 4 times a week, the staff here are lovely and so kind. Today there's been a violent incident that the security guard yelled at a young mother. This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.
24/04/2025: I came in in around a month ago and was about to ask if they had the facilities for me to charge my phone with a cable and plug when i was interrupted and told “toilets are for customers”. I felt it was rather rude. Today i came in for a second time. It was the same man and he was rather rude, kind of flinging the food at me. I wasn’t asked whether i wanted my food toasted and im assuming they only do takeaway cups as I wasn’t offered a plate or mug. Overall poor service. He’s a white man with what I assume is a French accent, middle aged.
