01/04/2025: That day, when I went to this restaurant for takeout, I heard people in the kitchen shouting about something. When I got home and ate the food, the shredded chicken had a sour taste, and the other dishes had an indescribable flavor. Overall, it didn’t taste good. The kitchen staff probably changed because the food tasted different. I don’t recommend eating there.

27/03/2025: I have tried this 'new' version of New Empire three times since it re-opened, after tonight, never again. I order online for pickup, I asked for lots of curry sauce, but as usual there was barely any. The chips were inedible; they weren't fresh, they were burned and tasted awful. The rice was reheated and hard. The prices change each time, ordering it on their website is dearer than ordering in the shop, and the prices they charge you in the shop are dearer than the displayed prices. It is not the same place as before, I won't be going back.

18/11/2024: Went in for a bag of chips, told the staff member that they were cold they grumble together in Italian and after about 10 minutes new bag of chips , well that’s what I taught when I got half way up the road picked at the chips only to discover they were after putting them in the microwave, and handing them back out to me , OMG a chipper that can’t give out a fresh bag of chips has a serious problem would make you wonder what else is going on in the back ground if they can’t supply a bag of chips won’t be step back into there again, ps Chios went straight into the bin

24/12/2024: Haven't been here in ages and it's gonna stay that way after this The spicebag was horrendous soggy chips chicken was pathetic tasted like cheap dirt and there was hardly any spice , rice was dry I asked for sweet and sour sauce and double checked as I ordered but was given curry sauce which tasted like pure muck 15 quid down the drain This place was just pathetic 1/10 stay away from this kip

14/10/2024: Took pasta and parmigiano for my baby; the worst tasting pasta ever. And it's challienging to make a very bad pasta and parmigiano. For 9.5 euros!! Not eaten, and payed!

13/10/2024: Nos gustó mucho el ambiente. Javier nos atendió muy bien durante toda nuestra permanencia incluso cuando por momentos se encontraba solo. Muy recomendable.

30/03/2025: Discusting food meat burned sauce dripping out of the box and grease on everything chips were boiled I’d say as thay were water soaked the taste of the food was in my opinion there isn’t a bad enough word please do not spent your money here and it’s way over priced and standard of the food is disgraceful

19/03/2025: ordered from just eat and i had the address where my order was going to put in, it said it was free delivery and i paid in full for the food with card. when the delivery driver arrived he tried to charge me another €8 i explained that it said it was free delivery, he started shouting and cursing at me that someone had to pay him as i said i didnt have the extra money to.. so i rang the restaurant and explained the situation and got told i have to pay or no food and i said i wasnt paying an extra €8 as its their mistake that they were advertising free delivery to my address when it wasnt and didnt make me aware of any extra charges before the food arrived. the man told me im not allowed order from anymore because i didnt have the extra money and when i told the delivery driver that he had go back with the food he called me a f*cking b*itch and sped off. overall was disgusting service and will never order again. had to go through just eat for a refund.

20/06/2024: Customer interaction unless you are a 17 year old girl in shorts is non exist couple of the older staff are down right rude and one in particular has taken a new trainee under his wings to be equally as bloody rude usually when I see first fellas brand new jeep parked outside the garage I double back as it's not worth the hassle

19/01/2025: The food was fine until I almost choked on a piece of something like a wire. My friend also had chicken that was a little raw. The girl who served us however was lovely and the prices are decent too.

21/11/2024: My infant daughter and I went here for her wedding, we ordered a curry and were served what appeared to be a severed birds carcas with a cactus poking through the top. This wouldn’t have bothered me but afterward it rained. I blame the curry.

21/08/2024: Quality of the food was terrible. We paid for half an aromatic duck and it was less than a quarter portion we have got elsewhere. The vegetables with it were uneaten because they were wilted and turned. Chips were soggy and sweet and sour chicken was cold. I will never eat here again. Terrible!

18/08/2024: Service was good. Woman behind the counter was very friendly and straightforward. Ordered the chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce and beef chow mein. Chicken wings themselves were FINE, just fine. The sauce had the taste and consistency of a spaghetti sauce and was absolutely gross. Beef Chow Mein had the most thin, bland tasting noodles I think I have ever had from an Asian food takeaway. The toppings had no flavor, and the beef itself tasted borderline like rubber. Like, I could hear the meat squeek against my teeth as I was chewing like it was rubber. The toppings are literally only on the top and the noodles fill the rest of the dish with absolutely no flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone, to be honest.

09/04/2025: Really good food one of the best Chinese takeaways in dublin fact. Spice bag is the size of a new born child with a good ratio between chicken and chips, the other stuff on the menu like the wrappos and chicken cheese roles are on another level to most takeaways would recommend

28/02/2025: Regular customer order every week from here and today my food never showed up and when I rang I was told it has been delivered when it wasn’t absolutely disgraceful

10/03/2025: The staff were good. I can't speak of the rest of the items available here but the cake was very disappointing. Ordered a designer chocolate cake for 57 euro and it felt like money wasted. Too much cream and that tasted bad and the cake was dry. Didn't taste fresh.

03/01/2025: I must admit that the pizza was great. I loved its margherita with cheese and bacon, ingredients self chosen. But, the guy at the desk was extremely upsetting. No care, no smile, no interest. I was waiting outside the door since inside there was a full cloud of oil burning the air, and he didn't care about telling that the pizza was ready. It is not possible to eat inside due to the burning smell. I had to eat outside in the rain.

28/10/2024: Unfortunately we ended up getting food poisoning out of here on Saturday night ! We got a share deal and both of us have been sick since it. Service was OK and atmosphere was just your normal !

18/11/2024: Very disappointed! Ordered a spice bag and i asked for the chicken wings to be replaced with 2 chicken balls i confirmed this twice on the phone. Only got one in the bag and 3 pieces of shredded chicken. There was no veg and the bag consisted of mainly chips that had way too much sugar on them! Satay sauce was watery. Wont be ordering again do not recommend!
