The best restaurants

10/10/2025: One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Subway. The staff at this location were extremely stingy and rude. I’ve been ordering the same sandwich for years, and I always ask for loads of jalapeños. This time, the staff member only gave me two small handfuls and told me I had already ordered an “extra portion,” then refused to add more. On top of that, the fridge didn’t seem to be at the right temperature, and the area behind the counter was messy with boxes scattered everywhere. Honestly, I’ve never been so disappointed with a Subway visit that I felt the need to write a review, but this experience really stood out — for all the wrong reasons.

17/11/2025: Honestly, I still don’t know who the real meat was that night: my friend, me or that suspicious plastic-looking thing spinning on their rotisserie. €15 for something even my dog wouldn’t touch. In short: an unforgettable experience… mainly because my body refuses to forget it.

16/11/2025: Food made me sick. Ordered chicken burger, and was handed out straight away. Chips were dirt. Don’t go here, no matter how drunk you are.

24/09/2025: Young guy serving here at 05:45 this morning needs a course in how to be polite. Dog ignorant, more focused on listening to someone else's conversation than taking my order

15/04/2025: As all the other reviews say, absolutely abysmal food - half the menu isn’t even available. I haven’t had such bad fast food since I was 10 at a birthday party in the 90s.

21/09/2025: Ordered a wok off this company 2 weeks ago , same story as a lot of the reviews here already . Got no email off them with any tracking number or any delivery date . After a week I had to email them , they replied saying the item was in back order and it could take 1 to 3 weeks to be delivered . They asked me did I want to cancel the order and I said no , 2 days later then they cancelled the order on their own accord , I never asked them to . A lot of reviews say the same thing about them saying the item is in back order and they’ve clearly made no effort to fix this problem . Their communication is appalling , if you don’t contact them you would be left in the dark for weeks waiting for delivery. I then ordered the exact same item on Amazon for slightly cheaper and it will be delivered within 4 days

19/11/2025: What a racket. Nearly €10 for 2 machine coffees and they were hardly drinkable. At least it is in keeping with the Irish Rail experience!

22/10/2025: The male barista’s attitude was just terrible. I ordered a wrap and asked him to heat it up because it had cheese inside, but he said “It’s not possible.” I mean, if a customer asks to have it heated, they should be able to do it, right? Also, I ordered a flat white with oat milk, but he gave me one with regular milk instead. That flatwhite was just like small cappuccino. Please be careful when you hire someone!!!!

28/09/2025: The most disgusting place I have ever stayed. We opened up the drawer beside the bed to find green mould. There was stains all over the carpets and walls. The shower door nearly fell down on top of me. However we did get great entertainment out of reading the reviews and owners responses.

26/10/2025: I ordered pancakes and the women taking my order just walked off without specifying what ones and just gave me kids Nutella ones definitely won’t be coming back

25/09/2025: Coffee Machine always dirty, portafilters and baskets with old coffee are not cleaned before the next order, no recipe used, barista was not able to explain their coffee or recipe when asked about taste of the coffee, which was weird. I am a Gym member and like the vibe, but food safety there is not great.

27/11/2025: 2 hours for delivery, will block you number if you call them multiple times. Food is barley edible. If you are craving Indian food please get it from someplace else. I PROMISE YOU, This place is not worth you time and money. Read all the Reviews especially the recent the review the better

14/11/2025: Food came within 40 mins (earlier than anticipated) all 3 meals were delicious including the much debated Butter Chicken

17/07/2025: Absolutely disgraceful customer service from the foreign woman behind the counter this evening. I arrived at 19:15, well before their advertised closing time of 20:00, only to be met with a shockingly rude attitude. When I asked if there was a menu, she didn’t even bother to speak and simply pointed behind her. Completely dismissive and unprofessional behaviour toward a customer. I went over to the kiosk just to read the menu more clearly, and staff started shouting at me that the machine could not be used. I explained that I was only reading the menu from the screen and not trying to order from it, but they showed no courtesy or patience whatsoever. A few minutes later, when we went to place our order, we were told the ovens had been turned off and they wouldn’t be taking any more orders. This was 45 minutes before closing time. Why wasn’t this mentioned the moment I walked in? Either the staff deliberately didn’t want to serve us, or they simply couldn’t be bothered to do their jobs. I asked another man working in the Spar section of the shop why orders weren’t being taken. He said I couldn’t order from the machine. I explained again that I wasn’t trying to order from the machine but from the counter, as instructed, yet they were still refusing to take orders. He then said that the woman was “probably tired.” What kind of response is that? I’m confused… are you closing early or simply too tired to serve customers? English isn’t his first language, so I understand there may have been some confusion, as he kept insisting I could still order at the counter. I tried explaining that this wasn’t possible because the staff had already refused to serve us. The two women behind the counter were clearly more interested in chatting about us than helping us. Their overall attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. Judging by other reviews, this isn’t an isolated incident but a recurring problem. Management seriously needs to address this staff behaviour if they care at all about their reputation. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience.

15/06/2025: A very rude blonde foreign lady, they had placed food ready on the counter and by mistake I took the wrong order even though i was the only one in the shop.. then she was giving out to me... not acceptable , I've spent 47euros on my order giving them business and the service i got was not acceptable ..

13/07/2025: An absolute disgrace of a venue charging €20 admission to a mediocre venue on a saturday night. When you think of value for money and the level of service there's absolutely no way this venue warrants such an entrance fee. You wouldn't pay that in Cork, Limerick or Dublin City. I was down for the night with friends and having arrived around midnight I actually couldn't believe my eyes when they said €20 per person for admission. The 6 of us decided instead to go the grand next door much better offering and only €10 admission. Would not recommend to anyone visiting Killarney unless you're looking to get ripped off.!

19/06/2025: I had a deeply disappointing experience at this Subway location. Staff were treated unfairly and spoken to in a disrespectful manner. In particular, I witnessed employees being verbally mistreated and racially stereotyped, including offensive comments towards Indian staff. Additionally, I observed unsanitary food handling, including reusing bread that had already been served to other customers. These practices raise serious concerns about both workplace ethics and food safety standards. I hope Subway headquarters seriously reviews the conduct of this franchise and protects both customers and employees.

09/06/2025: Closed early. Sign on door says 9 arrived at 8:15 and turned away.

09/10/2025: I got a leaflet from this company through the letterbox, on it was a picture and price of a shared platter. I had an event on so I was thinking this would be perfect. I rang to order it. The first person I spoke to said they weren't sure and to ring back. I saw on the site they take emails for events, so I also emailed. I heard nothing back from the email and when I rang I mentioned the email. I was told that they don't accept email orders.... So I asked could I order on the phone, I was told to ring Supermacs and order before I come up... Great. So I wanted this for around midday Saturday. I rang early, Supermacs weren't open so my call was disconnected. I rang a few times up to 11:20. So I drove up and asked in person can I get this legendary shared platter. The poor people behind the counter looked at me like I had 2 heads. I then got a "we don't do that"... So I had to get an emergency order from somewhere else. I wouldn't bother with this crowd. No one seems to know what is going on.

08/09/2025: Absolutely disgraceful food, price and atmosphere. Mini breakfast consisted of 1 sausage that looked like it was cooked 3 days ago, 1 greasy rasher and 1 egg not fully cooked. Tea and toast for €14 Absolute rip off. Staff where like zombies.

23/04/2025: staff were lovely except for woman with grey and black hair, very rude and aggressive. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work with her, will not be coming back.

11/10/2025: This place takes the money and doesn't give the food, the delivery drivers are in in it as well and pretend to give you the wrong order on purpose and just take the money, don't order from here

19/09/2025: Absolute joke of a franchise. Went in for lunch today and was charged extra for everything. I was asked if i wanted any cheese on my meatball sub, said yes to the mozzarella and got “that will cost extra”, I asked since when did it cost extra to which i just got a blank smile back. Then after toasting was asked what of the veg/salad i wanted, i had asked for crispy onion to which i was told “that will cost extra” again asked since when as ive never been charged extra anywhere before for the topping, to which i got the blank smile followed by a vague pointing to the menu (which says nothing about extra charge for it). If its a recent change with subway or something always meant to have been done thats fine but i 100% dont think so. Rediculous service as i also never got a word from them except for the “cost extra” thing as they just pointed to the toppings instead of saying anything
