09/07/2024: Simple and good. Very friendly staff! Watched football on TV with great sound. We had two meals, the burger which was great and the steak sandwich which unfortunately was disappointing to me as the steak was not so good... as it is listed as one of the specialtys of the house that should've done better! But had an overall great evening.

07/09/2026: Had the wine tasting here - 2 whites, 2 reds - and can't recommend it enough. The server, a lovely gentleman, was so friendly and clearly knew his stuff, took real time to explain each wine properly. Genuinely lovely experience. We'll be back.

01/04/2025: I decided to bring myself on a solo date for dinner in Jacks. It was daunting going solo but I had the loveliest experience. The waiting staff made me so welcome and were attentive without being invasive, the food was lovely and they accommodated a special order. It was made even more special by the magical piano playin of JP, a pure joy and a gentleman. JP plays here Thur- Sun and OMG is he worth the visit to hear. Oh and the view from the restaurant onto the sea is AMAZING. I will be back again for sure, again and again.

01/07/2025: There is one golden rule when travelling: you eat where locals eat. It never fails. Courtyard Café has well-earned the straight five stars in its reviews: on the spot made food and snacks, great coffee and friendly atmosphere. So, do not hesitate and go to visit Sligo and, when there, go to Courtyard Café or viceversa.

11/07/2025: This needs to be updated to full hotel, at the moment only doing b and b,fabulous food lovely breakfast, well maintained inside, lovely and professional staff, credit to them, hope one day we will see it to greatness, well done girls and thanks for a lovely stay

25/05/2025: Difficult! The Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is tasty and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. However: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a hotel with any ambitions. The seating looks cheap, the ambiance is uninspired, and the bar is a permanent fixture—complete with drunk and rowdy patrons. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues. A real shame.
