The best restaurants

30/03/2025: On my way to a funeral prayer, I stopped by for fuel. I went to the store to pay. There was no sign, so I queued to the middle till. When it was my turn, salesman said that the queue was on the other till. I went to other till and queued all the way again. Finally, it was my turn to pay. The girl with lotsa tattoo said the the till is closed now! I told that there is Firstly no Queuing sign and I queued there and then here. Secondly, if I have been queuing right in front you and waited this long, you cannot close or why did you not say not to wait. She carelessly said, that she is closed now as if nothing has happened. Her irritating attitude frustrated me and I explained again. She again did not care and yet told me to stop shouting. Honestly, if it was food or other goods, I would have left and left. Since it was petrol, I had to pay. I queued to third till for the third time which was the till that I had queued. This was the most disgusting management and behavior ever. Although we few families live locally, we hate to ever come to this petrol station again ever!!

26/06/2024: Omg rang to order some food was Told I was black listed seemingly I complained about 2 years ago app. about curry sauce was talking 2 a girl very rude rang back again got a man also very rude so I went down to see what was going on again Very rude no manager around they would not give me manager phone number so I could make a complaint Was told 2 go to another Chinese take away way out of order Hopefully the manager will get in touch and get back to me when he reads this comment

14/02/2025: Ordered crispy beef in HOT GARLIC SAUCE don’t know what this stuff was! Absolute dirt it smelled so sour and tasted the very same so thick and absolutely disgusting..went straight into the bin so disappointing as wasn’t cheap either..

13/03/2025: Had breakfast there recently food was nice service perfect but the noise from the lady where the wash up is OMG we had to text each other because we couldn't hear we thought she was breaking everything the noise was ridiculous such a shame

18/03/2025: We have being customers of Richards for years but the food quality has declined, tastes different looks different. One time the quality and consistency was by far the best you would find sadly not now. Make changes for the good guys people won't put up with this much longer

05/10/2024: The lads are always upbeat, friendly and helpful. They cope well when there is a rush, the service is always friendly from my 100s of visits. The food is better than what to be expected for a very good value place. Copious, endless amounts soya etc for coffees

23/03/2025: Very disappointing. I was told it would be 20 minutes so I sat and waited. I eventually went up and asked how much longer it would be. They took a look and found my pizzas sitting out going cold. When I got home they were cold. Pizza was pretty mediocre. Definitely not worth the price.

17/02/2025: Really enjoy eating from here, each food item is nicely made, great choice of foods overall and it's not too expensive can get desserts here too. It is located on the market square Portlaoise and has plenty of parking and on-site toilet for customer use. The staff and service are great. I will return.

13/04/2025: DO NOT ORDER OR DRIVE TO THIS PLACE I drove 30mins because it said it was opened But when I got there IT WAS CLOSED and everytime I order they always get the order wrong,one time I got 2 spicy chips AND THEY GAVE ME 2 CURRY CHIPS AND A SPICE BAG sure I still got the spicy chips and technically free curry but idc I was hoping for what I ordered and didn't get it,what a scam.

18/03/2025: BEWARE OF THIS PLACE THEY DONT TAKE CARD UNLESS YOU SPEND €10 WHAT A JOKE AND THE FOOD THERE IS WROTEN I GOT IT LAST NIGHT IT WASNT EVEN COOKED THAT WELL WAITED 20 mins

12/03/2025: Shocking that this establishment decided to cancel a sold-out gig 24 hours beforehand in favour of putting in a student night instead. 7 Japanese members of a band playing Irish Trad music travelled over 10,000km with a double bass and all their instruments to play a sold out show to fans who were travelling from all over Ireland to see them just to be told that they’re concert was scrapped in favour of a student night. Really unprofessional and a disgraceful way to treat 7 Japanese people who’ve been obsessed with Irish music for over 20 years on their first tour to Ireland. How embarrassing!! 😡

13/12/2024: First time ordering from this place. Ordered kebab meal which was 12.50 (chips and drink included) kebab was amaaazing, chips had salt and vinegar added without request which I was very happy about. In my opinion kebab by itself is worth the 12.50. Will definitely order again

10/12/2024: I was with my three friends yesterday. We ordered food from the place. The food is top quality, but a bit overpriced, though I paid €13 for a burger, chips, and a drink.
