19/08/2025: This is the worst egusi stew I’ve ever attempted to eat. Completely unedible and the skinny chicken leg taste spoiled.. if you love yourself, I’d advise you to skip this place… their efo was good and had some spice. But yea the egusi was a pathetic excuse. Literally threw it in the garbage.

18/07/2025: Getting sick of being handed below par food for a price well beyond its worth! Chicken balls and chips (the basics) were absolutely charred/fried, chewy/burnt reheats. Fair enough, if handing this crap out at least charge less. Makes me so angry how some places happily take your money. Ok curry sauce and rice but my god.. actually feel sick after a few bites. Awful food overall

06/09/2025: We had such a flavorful experience at the restaurant! 😋 The meal started off beautifully with a hot, comforting soup served as a welcome drink — a thoughtful touch that set the tone right away. The lamb and beef biriyani were the real highlights: fragrant rice, perfectly spiced, and packed with tender pieces of meat that just melted in the mouth. The porotta was soft, flaky, and the perfect partner to the rich and creamy butter paneer masala, which had just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Every dish felt freshly prepared and full of care. Altogether, it was a hearty, satisfying spread that left us happy and full. Definitely a spot worth revisiting for anyone who loves good, flavorful food! 🍲🍛🥘

19/04/2025: the prawn crackers came uncooked and were not fried the fried rice was smelly and had a strange taste while i was waiting for my food i had paid and a cat came in through the door..it disgusted me it was my first time in castle island since i was travelling through castle island to get home to dublin. so i was hungry and decided to stop for food don't get me wrong castle island is a lovely rural irish town.. but this really let it down so unhygienic the noodles were hard! smelt of utter cow sh*t im sorry but never again animals roaming through a kitchen is disgraceful.. im sorry for this bad review and im not one to complain but when i asked the manager where my food was he decided to call me a fat bastard and to wait my turn and then started to aggressively rub his hands into his hair and let his dandruff into the frying pan and started touching my food with his hamds wouldnt even want to walk past that kip smells of pure poop too..

10/05/2025: Ordered a beef burger and chips got into the car and found out that they gave me a kebab burger and the chips were cold. Absolute filth coming out of the place

31/08/2025: I ordered from here for years and put a lot of money into the till and always compliment the food when others didn't like it!! But now I get it, i always leave a note saying plenty of salt and vinegar and they put none on at all !! €4.40c for a bag of chips and they can't put salt and vinegar on?? It must anoy them when you comment and ask for something because when I rang he said yes I can read very good!! Clearly not because I said no vegetables on the kebab and there was vegetables on it and I said I won't order again he said ok fine so the place is clearly going to the dogs by the sounds of it!! I'd avoid and go elsewhere with your money! Not the first time either and food is gone poor they re-use chips and meat is old on the kebab not fresh anymore especially during the week!!

13/08/2025: They tried to charge me extra to take toppings off the pizza saying it was a hassle for them, i told them that was strange and they told me to go away and go next door haha no problem.. regal fare has always been a solid choice.

24/06/2025: Just had delivery of smoked cod, chips and bottle of coke.Needef hammer and chisel batter was so hard, obviously cooked many times!! Never again.

24/05/2025: Only a shell of what it used to be, they sneak their prices up after a certain time. Last order was taco chips, not a scrap of mince in it, very disappointed.

02/07/2025: Good chipper, No major complaints, staff are sound enough. Portion sizes are shrinking in size.

22/05/2025: Worst kebab I ever had. The chicken was fried chicken and lamb was not fresh. Above this the potion was a joke. Never again.

12/10/2024: Very disappointed. I come to this area quite often & found this particular truck which I would have been a regular at HAD I NOT BEEN OVERCHARGED!! I ordered 4 small ice creams which were advertised for €3.50 each - which totals to €14 but the lady had the audacity to charge me €18.30.. I’ve seen some reviews about them doing this to other people, raging I didn’t look at the reviews beforehand as had my hands full & was in a hurry to get the family ice creams before heading to our destination. Won’t be coming here again anyway. You overcharged me €4.30 & lost out on a potentially regular customer which would have been worth more than €4.30!!

26/07/2025: The most disgusting, gaslighting, scapegoating experience I have ever had with two human beings. Both Anna and Rachel the manager on duty at your store today should not be working in customer service as they are both bullies who enjoy tormenting people at their most vulnerable. Anna and Rachel accused me of abuse, being stupid, insulting, talking over people when I was simply trying to sort out an incorrect order that was a mistake on their side. I explained that I am in the middle of a family wake and all I wanted to do was sort out the order that THEY got wrong. I was accused of 'taking it out on other people' - again - just trying to sort out their mistake, yet getting repeatedly yelled at by the 'manager'. I asked her to repeat her name and she flat out refused multiple times - "NOPE"!. And invited me down the shop to 'have it out with her'. I don't know what sort of people you employ in your kip of a takeaway, but your manager is deeply unhinged and her behaviour is genuinely unnerving. She kept goading me to react, was combative and just overall looking for a fight. Who threatens a customer to an altercation down at the shop? I have a good mind to call the police! The way, I was spoken to on the phone this evening should cost both of these absolute bullies their jobs. I have worked in hospitality for 30 years and I am absolutely stunned by how people think they can speak to customers for no reason. We literally got the wrong pizza and it was their mistake, got spoken to like we were absolute idiots and then told we were disrespectful when we tried to seek resolution. You are two persecuting little bullies who delight in the little power trip you've got goin' on at Dominos Balbriggan. I hope you are both sacked because you are bullies who scapegoat vulnerable customers. Two little unhappy sad cases who take out all of life's frustrations out on customers, even if they are in the middle of a wake with grieving relatives downstairs! You should both be utterly ashamed of yourselves but doubt you lack the self awareness required for such reflection. There are enough bad reviews on here about your seething hatred towards your customers to justify it. Both of ya deserve a good smack in the mouth and it's only a matter of time before you're kicked around the place for the way you speak down to people. Never, ever again!

16/06/2025: Ordered the bigger garlic bread (6 slices) looked delish, shockingly disappointed. Ordered chicken combos and the chicken was soggy and wedges undercooked and had to throw them in the air fryer The price is so high expect a bit better If they have an email address I’ll send them a picture of the bad garlic bread but can’t even find an email and it won’t let me add the picture here

09/07/2025: I tried the Hearty Italian bread and it was really good! The location is nice and the restaurant was clean, which I appreciated. Customer service was okay — not bad, but not outstanding either. One thing that definitely needs improvement is the bathroom — it really needs a working lock on the door.

18/05/2025: Just got 3 foot longs to take away and all were day old bread from yesterday, stale!!! NOT FRESH, Subway standards have really fallen in Ireland
