20/07/2025: Order a large pepperoni pizza and the size was the size of a coca cola can it would definitely be a small anywhere else. Sadly it was also inedible, greasy, hard, was a random place to pick some lunch but never again

16/07/2025: its probably not the most hygienic place to get food from but the food is incredible, except the kebabs though they're just alright but good god the pizzas are insanely good

12/08/2025: Ordered a Ferraro milkshake takeaway, they gave me a vanilla instead. Only found out later at home. Also, it’s disappointing that they discontinued their veggie imposter burger. That was the only good vegetarian option on their menu.

07/09/2025: Me and my friend group of 5 ordered 5 side salads with extra veggies and chicken breast (NOT FRIED) with ice water and we where very disappointed to open up our food and see a chicken McNuggets happy meal with curry sauce and a Coke Zero a large nine piece chicken nugget meal with a coke a cola and 2 medium chicken sandwiches meals with Diet Coke and a biscoff frame and a six piece chicken nugget meal with a biscoff frape my poor friend Princess Paulina who had the spicy nuggets spent 23.64 minutes in the bathroom making a massive SHAT on the toliet and had extreme dirreah came in crying and came out with poo stains all over him the workers didn’t do anything about it and infant started LAUGHUNG and taking PICTURES, I am VERY upset and furious with this incident I would like to have free McDonald’s for life to heal my trauma

26/04/2025: I arrived at 17:22 on Saturday, 26 April 2025, on a sunny afternoon. After selecting two sandwiches, I handed them to the person behind the counter to have them toasted, only to be informed that the machine had been turned off. As a result, my companion and I promptly went to Costa — and guess what? Their machine was turned on, and we enjoyed a lovely, warm toasted sandwich.

20/02/2025: Ordered on deliveroo.food took over an hour and a half to come and arrived freezing cold. The spicy box chicken was pink and the chips were raw. the garlic bread and pizza were so undercooked. Staff were so unhelpful on the phone

12/05/2025: Ok shop - buy tea, coffee food etc but they have no toilet. I will go to a service station in future where they lnow what service is.

20/02/2025: Petrol station with plenty space, very good service and is very handy this petrol station be around here very closed of hospital where make a huge difference for the customers going into hospital others going work and they can have a breakfast here and a cop a coffee or tea, the community around the area sometimes take for grant.

23/03/2025: Cheap and nasty practice. I top up Gas here regularly and they have decided to surcharge every swipe as individual extra charges. This is new. The max amount Utility companies allow you to top up on card is €50 so this business has decided to start adding additional cost on to their customers when they did not previously.

14/08/2025: Manger was absolutely rude even after hours when I tried to call she cut the phone off on me. The place doesn’t even look clean! There’s practically one person running the joint which looks to be a small Asian girl making everything herself , props to her.

13/08/2025: The River House Cafe – €15.95 for a so-called “full Irish” with no beans, no mushrooms, and pudding slices so thin they could have been cut on a microtome. My daughter ordered a €4.95 peach iced tea after seeing the beautiful picture of one on the wall — lemon garnish and all — only to be handed a plain bottle of Lipton iced tea with zero garnish. The server was lovely (if slightly embarrassed, in my opinion), but the experience overall had negative value for money. I wouldn’t recommend eating here. This place has genuine 5-star potential, but it feels like greed has taken the wheel.

22/08/2025: This place went downhill. Used to be my favourite takeaway in Ashbourne but for the last year and half food feels different. Chicken is always very chewy, in the spice bags is 80% chips and 20% chicken, overall food isn't so great as used to be.

11/07/2025: 1 star- Michelin Star in the Art of Ignoring People If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to be completely invisible without having to get bitten by a radioactive spider or cursed by a wizard, THIS is the place for you. We walked in, full of optimism and empty stomachs, only to be greeted by... absolutely no one. The servers were performing an interpretive dance called “We Don’t See You,” gliding past us with the grace of Broadway performers committed to the role. Eye contact? Not once. Menus? Surely not. A simple “we’ll be right with you”? Too mainstream, apparently. After 20 minutes of this avant-garde performance art, they really committed to the bit by TURNING OFF THE LIGHTS. Yes. Lights. Off. We weren’t just being ignored—we were being evacuated via passive-aggressive ambiance. Mind you, they were not set to close. Honestly, I started to wonder if we had accidentally wandered into a haunted house attraction where the theme is “Neglect, But Make It Fashion.” If so, bravo. Five stars for commitment to the bit. But as a functioning restaurant? Hard pass. We left after 20 minutes. If you're hungry, keep walking. If you're looking to question your place in the universe while standing in the dark, congratulations—you’ve found your spot.

13/04/2025: To avoid: filthy cuisine and staff who openly make fun of customers

23/08/2025: Got lunch there today and it was lovely. However, one of girls working there was so rude, I was actually flabbergasted at how she spoke to me, she told the girl who was serving up my food that I jumped the queue (which I didn't) I corrected her and explained that I was waiting for my food and didn't jump it. She got so angry, I told her there was absolutely no need to be rude but she continued with her rant. I've never in my entire life had anyone in retail/food speak to me like she did. She needs to reconsider her career choice in my opinion. Regardless of that, the food was really fresh and tasty.

12/08/2025: It’s shopping mall Chinese. You get what you expect, however it’s too expensive to return. 20€ for prawn fried rice and Diet Coke.
