16/12/2024: For a little independent cafe in a shopping centre you're really not going to do any better. The food and service is generally great, and the tomato soup we had was simply fabulous, with top notch fresh home made sodabread. Delicious.

13/10/2024: Never set foot here again, rude staff tiny sandwich, ham and cheese toasty pure salty only ate 2 bites. Chips were reheats 🙃 member of staff came over to our table and shouted 3 times close at 4 showing us her 4 fingers after serving us out food at 3.30 😡😡 I would obviously give no stars but won't post without a star review 😡

01/01/2025: Food took over an hour and a half to come and was cold. Awful customer service - called the store to ask where our food was , since it was coming close to 3 am meaning the store was actually closing (we had ordered at 1:40). We were told it would be there in 15 minutes, to which it was not. Called back again to be told by the rude man who answered “it’s New Year’s Eve” and hung up on whilst trying to speak to him. Would give 0 stars if I could.

26/12/2024: I ordered a delivery for me and my friends to enjoy for our game night, pizza took an hour from the actual promised time. Pizza came in cold, not cut, sides were cold and some of them tasted like it wasn't cook properly. I understand they were under staff at that time, but leaving food like this for people to eat is unacceptable. Paid 31+ euros for this food.

30/12/2024: Fishing through this shoddy pile of bones was almost as awful as the crippling diarrhoea it will likely give me. AWFUL!

18/11/2024: Not good at all naan bread rock hard chips stone cold, meat is okay only good thing is salad is fresh. Curry sauce is pure thin just oil with a layer of oil and grease

04/01/2025: Absaloute joke.. Ordered over €50 worth of food main things where forgotten first time I was then told they were been delivered by another driver and will be arriving in 5 minutes this is 1 hour after the food arrived at first I called them back 45 minutes later so 1 hour and 45 minutes now and I was told they hadn't even left the shop to redeliver forgotten food absolutely crazy supposed to be the best pizza around I don't think so 👎👎 won't be ordering from here again that's for sure .

15/01/2025: Overpriced & underwhelming. You do not get a welcoming feel, the atmosphere is cold. The grounds are beautiful but from now on I’ll just bring my own food & drink. I would love to see another cafe take over here where their price matches the quality of food and service.

30/12/2024: The red haired lady that works in there on the till is the utmost rudest person I have met. How she works in hospitality is beyond me and I feel sorry for the people who have to work with her.

03/12/2024: Ordered through their webpage for pick up, money deducted and order in pending. Called and they say it’s not their problem. Horrible service!

19/11/2024: Went here saturday for my daughters birthday worst experience it took 40 mins to get bottle of wine and another 15 mins for a glass we got 2 chicken curry 2 rice chips and curry sauce and 3 starters it cost 180 euro they forgot my order and never braught desserts for kids or happy birthday cake i asked nearly 1 hour end up leaving my partner and daughter felt sick and a whole chicken curry and rice was left untouched. Very annoyed and lwt down never go back again my daughters birthday was ruined.

06/10/2024: Got a takeaway for 2 from here. First time and never again. The chicken was jelly like. Must be the cheapest they could buy. Small item to note..the bill was €30.90. I gave a €50, rather than let the 10 cent go & give a €20 back, she went off and went looking for the 10 cent & change with €15 in notes.

26/09/2024: Ordered my favorite beef Chow mein & egg fried rice & spicy chicken wings I noticed the lantern has either changed the chef or the recipe for beef Chow mein as flavor has changed, beef was like rubber it bounced off the even the cat wouldn't eat it, the spicy chicken wings they were like a rock almost broke my teeth and too top it off my my total for my y Chinese delivery was €26.20 I came to the door with €40.20 i should have received €16 change I told the girl it wasn't right she went back to the car she came back with €13.80 I said it still wasn't right all this time my delioush rubbery Chinese was going cold so I just had to let go I only €13.80 Change. I'm definitely not going back to bed over charged for rubber food

28/07/2024: Ordered kebab, it smelled like hot garbage (i swear this is not an exaggeration) and the food was SOOO bland i doubt there was even salt. 2 bites then garbage where it belongs.

22/07/2024: Very poor taco fries here recently. I arrived to collect my order and they had not noticed it on the system. They asked me to wait 5 minutes which I did. At the same time some customers ordered taco fries. When I got the order home the portion of taco fries was laughable for over 10 euro. Very few fries and pretty much just covered in sauce. Would not recommend here. Very bad experience

19/10/2024: Got takeout last night, food was great, ready quick and price was very reasonable, only eaten from here the once but definitely going to come back

15/12/2024: This place is gone to the dogs food is rotten over charged n tastless 48euro fr beef curry n munchies box won't be returning here again this place used to be lovely food 👌💯 now whoever took over has ran it into ground again stsy clear horrible overcharged tastless food

11/09/2024: Ordered chinese last night and it was pure dirt, chicken balls way over cooked not tender and juicy at all and the oil clearly needed changing, the chicken chow mein was a bit better but it was knowhere near as good as it normally is. Not sure if the chef has changed but whoever it was last night made no effort to serve up a decent meal and for the amount they are charging i expect better.

28/12/2024: Oh my god this was my first time gettin food from here and it will be the last time , Burgers were burnt to a crisp and the cheese and bacon chips was even worse. Stay away

28/11/2024: "We are thoroughly enjoying our stay at the Quality Hotel Youghal! This hotel is very lovely and comfortable. The best part is that the beach is very close, and we had a lot of fun there. The hotel's swimming pool is also fantastic, and we spent a lot of time there as well. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. Overall, our stay here has been a wonderful experience. We would definitely love to come back again!"

21/10/2024: We booked this hotel in advance and when we arrived, we were told the hotel is no longer operating and has been a refugee camp for the past 2 years. It put me and my family in a huge bind as you can imagine. DO NOT book this hotel! Not sure why it still shows as available on the choice hotel website but do not book! It is not open!

27/11/2024: I have been coming here for years and while the customer service has always been appalling I could look past that because I quite enjoyed the food, however after the meal I have just had I am beyond disappointed. I ordered nine chicken balls, a sweet and sour sauce and some spring rolls and altogether it cost a little over €18 and when I got home and looked in the bag the chicken balls were half the size they used to be. I order from them very often and every time I go there it only gets worse but I keep going back because they do have very nice spring rolls. The fact that they are charging €9.50 for chicken balls that are the same size as the gap you would get if you were to press your forefinger and thumb together is absolute ludicrous. Not only did I need a microscope just to see the things, they were 85% batter and 15% chicken and the chicken wasn’t even good quality, I would have gotten better if I had gone to the deli in SuperValu. The prawn crackers also leave much to be desired. What was once my favourite takeaway is now a place I absolutely cannot recommend as restaurant anymore.

08/11/2024: I've been a regular customer of this Chinese takeaway for many years, but lately, the quality has taken a serious downturn. The portion sizes have noticeably shrunk, while prices have climbed sharply. The food now relies on cheap watery sauces and bland flavours, which is a huge letdown compared to what it used to be. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this takeaway. 👎Posted here 8 Nov. 2024.
